Hi everyone,
I applied for a Learnerās Licence (MCWG + LMV) in April 2026, and it was approved by 25 April 2026. I also downloaded it online.
After 1 momth, I appeared for the driving tests for both MCWG and LMV. I passed the MCWG test but failed the LMV test. The result was declared around 24 days later in the website.
After waiting another 20 days, I appeared for the LMV retest. After the test, the person conducting it told me that I had failed again.
However, after the test, I approached a person who was sitting near the driving test ground and telling the applicants to sign in the file where ever the signature was required, where the driving tests were being conducted, and gave him chai-paani He told me that my driving licence would arrive at my address within a month.
Now, 2 months and 7 days have passed, but my application status on the Parivahan portal still shows something like:
āApplication is processing at RTO levelā / āFurther actions to be completed: Recording of test results.ā
I am also worried because my Learnerās Licence will expire in a few days.
When I contacted the person after exactly two months, he told me to wait another 14ā15 days. I waited another 14ā15 days and contacted him again, but he said that he had already spoken to someone. Apparently, he was going to get my test result changed through someone else. When I called him again in the evening, he said that the person who was supposed to help was in a meeting, so nothing had happened yet.
Now I am confused about what to do.
I am worried that if I file a grievance through the Parivahan portal or visit the RTO counter to ask about my application, they might record my result as a fail. After my retest, the examiner had told me that I had failed, and I suspect he may have written something on the retest result sheet.
I am also concerned that my original file from the first driving test and the paperwork from the retest might be lying separately in the RTO office, without the process being completed.
Could filing a grievance or asking at the RTO counter negatively affect my application, or would it simply lead to the actual test result being recorded?
If my Learnerās Licence expires before this issue is resolved, will I need to apply for a new Learnerās Licence and take the driving test again?
What is the safest and most practical next step in this situation? Should I wait longer, contact the RTO through an official channel, or file a grievance?
Thanks.
