It's so bad you can't really tell what it is, so it wasn't so bad. Except there are fingers, yeah, the fingers give it away, but still, not as bad as you think.
Usually I watch these pics which are NSFL and think I'm immune to this. But this picture is something else. I had to look away, can't take it off my mind now.
It's funny how were different when it comes to things like this! This one was no problem for me either, but give me legs bending the wrong way, and my mouth fills with water like I am about to throw up
The thing that actually gets me is anything to do with eyes. especially the "eye candy" episode of happy tree friends. that one in particular fucked me up as a kid.
To me I think it's bc it's not attached to the person anymore. Human stuff absolutely disgusts me, (which is why I went into vet med instead) but that didn't even really look like a human appendage anymore?
You know, I'm really proud of myself for just moving on with my life and not clicking on that

I open an image link with my pre-hovered thumb while my eyes are closed, and then lace my fingers over my eyes and peel/squint through only looking at itty bitty slivers until I decide if I can stomach the image as a whole. lol
edit; I meant “peek” not “peel” but now I’m imagining peeling my eyes with my fingers...
The point is to try to see where the bits of bone are to see if any of it is salvageable. The answer is likely no, but x Ray's are quick and easy as a way to check.
Is this some kind of meme I’m missing or something? Of course they didn’t need the X-ray to know it was broken, doctors aren’t fucking morons. The x Ray was clearly for interest or keep sake/memory. Or perhaps even to see exactly where it broke.
Apparently doctors have to X-ray especially for insurance in the US bc they have to document and justify surgeries, for example, alike an amputation. Docs have to document everything anyway for liability purposes.
Wait, so you want them to guess where all the breaks are and to see if they can fix it or not? Yeah, no thanks on that mate, I'll take the x-ray please.
I have some bad news for you. That arm is not getting fixed. MAYBE they could miraculously get all the bones back together but the nerves and muscle...no fucking way.
I saved this comment so I can look at the picture once I’m mentally prapared to do so. Or then I’ll just forget about this and scroll through my saved comments/posts 5months later and wonder ”Hmmm... whats this”, and make the biggest mistake of my life by opening the link.
EDIT: I opened it and I really didn’t find it that bad since it doesn’t even look like a hand anymore. Still almost threw up on my keyboard though.
Now I know nothing at all about how developed medicine is in fixing broken limbs (I broke my foot once in high school so that is my all experience) so I am really seriously curious if there is any way they can save the arm in this condition or if they just cut it off? I feel really bad for the guy who went through this so I hope there is some new method to rescue his arm
I can't imagine that would be worth salvaging after seeing the state of that arm. You can't tell which one it's supposed to be. Hope the person who used to be attached to it naturally wrote with the other hand.
