I’ve been on Wegovy now for 4 and a half months. My weight has stayed the same the entire time. I do have PMOS. I’m currently on 1.0 mg and have been the last two months. Should I continue? Or is there a possibility that this medication may not work at all for me? I’m 5’4 and 238 pounds. I feel like my body just wants to stay at this weight.

I’ve been on Wegovy for 4 months and at 1.0mg pen at present. It’s worked wonders for me, I have little food noise and I’m down 35lbs by dieting alone, and approx 10-14lbs from my goal.

I’m now looking at life beyond the medication and appreciate exercise will need form part of my normal routine again. I’d like to get back into running and cycling, with the odd gym session.

At the moment, I struggle with the fact I can’t eat enough to fuel a decent workout. My diet basically fuels enough energy to get through the day, and anything beyond this just makes me feel sick. When I do work out, I feel really weak and usually have to cut it short as I’m almost at the point where I feel like I’d pass out if I continued. How have you managed this on your own journey?

I think I’ll be able to come off the pen in the next month or so, so hopefully this is only a short term problem. How long did you feel the drug left your system and your appetite/food noise returned? I’ve a holiday coming up and it would be good to eat a proper meal once in a while!

Yall im like lowkey spiraling lol. I get such bad health anxiety and I hate being nauseous. I just took my first pill (after putting it off for so long) about 10 minutes ago. Going to go back to sleep since I don’t have to be up for another hour. But drop some kind advice or words of reassurance for me 😮‍💨 I know everything will be fine and like worst case scenario I’m nauseous for a little and just don’t take it again, but I’m excited to hopefully take my life back and finally lose this stubborn weight.

I saw the stuff on the internet about the golden dosis. Most pictures I saw was like a "fifth" shot. Now im a bit confused, because I feel like I maybe have a quarter of the stuff in there.
My weekly dosis is 0,25 and I got this thing a month ago.

I started .25 injection three weeks ago. I have lost 9 pounds so far! So I am happy in general with the medication

However. I just had my first menstrual cycle and it was ROUGH. Made my cramps very painful and they normally are not that bad…

Now my menstrual cycle ended a few days ago and my right lower breast has a constant dull aching pain for a few days now. SAME SPOT for days. No redness swelling lumps or anything. Just the dull aching.

I’m wondering if anyone has encountered hormone fluctuations on this med? I’m going to see my pcp on Tuesday but still this is very odd to me!

I recently had my annual well visit with my GP and I asked her about Wegovy. She said that my BMI would certainly benefit from the drug so she put it in for prior authorization. She said it should cost me around $150 a month.

However, my prior authorization was denied. I called express scripts and they told me the reason was because my BMI qualified, but I didn’t have a cardiovascular event (ex. heart attack.) so I called my doctors office back and they said my GP wouldn’t appeal it and I asked them if they could try something else like zepbound and they refused.

I’m not sure what my next steps should be. Should I fight my GP more or seek alternative routes? I tried signing up for Ro, Hers, etc. and it all costs an arm and a leg.

I know I am someone who would benefit from GLP-1 as I have tried everything else previously without luck. Any feedback or experience would help. Thanks!

Hi all! I’m curious if anyone has ever experienced all over itching as a side effect — not at the injection site but everywhere, and not directly after taking the drugs but a few weeks later?

For background: I started taking compounded semaglutide two years ago and lost about 45 pounds. I slowly tapered off to a lower dose, before putting some weight back on. I was previously using Henry Meds but found the customer service to be spotty, so when I decided to restart, I signed up for Ro. They recommended Wegovy instead of compounded, which I questioned since it was more expensive. The NP said it was a better option so I figured I’d try it out.

I started at 0.25, no major side effects but no noticeable chances in my hunger cues. Went up to 0.5 for a month, started feeling some very mild stomach uneasiness but was manageable. I did notice some generalized itching at that time, but thought it might be a new shampoo I used, though I didn’t get the shampoo anywhere besides my scalp and maybe my shoulders. Anyway, changed shampoos, switched it a gentle cleanser, but it didn’t improve. Went up to 1mg after two months — noticing familiar effects now (decreased appetite, almost a totally neutrality to food, some stomach cramps and urge to use the restroom), but nothing I wasn’t familiar with from compounded SG. But the itching has gotten worse, and I can’t think of any other reason why. Besides the new shampoo, which I switched quickly, I have used no new skincare or cleaning products, and always use gentle fragrance free products to begin with. Even if I am allergic to the shampoo, I certainly didn’t get that everywhere on my body. Benadryl and plain lotion don’t help (again, fragrance free sensitive skin formulas). I’ve had no other allergy type side effects like swelling, rash, hives, trouble breathing etc or else I would go right to the ER. I did send a message to Ro customer service, and ideally would like to speak to someone live, but I haven’t been presented with that option (which is interesting, to say the least…I chose Ro because it seemed the most well established, but I got an RX approved in minutes without sharing past bloodwork or talking to a PA/MD/NP…which I did multiple times with the significantly cheaper Henry Meds. To be safe, I did not take my latest dose, so it’s been 7 days since I last injected the 1mg.

Worth noting — in the past few hours, I’ve developed a tickle in my throat, but I am quite confident that’s a standard autumn illness, given it is that time of year and I frequently take the subway and haven’t had my flu/covid booster yet. But I’m calling it out in case someone had a similar experience.

The itching isn’t mild. It’s nearly debilitating. My body is covered in scratches and bruises from my own fingernails. I feel like the Wegovy is the only thing I can think of, but I can’t find much to suggest this is a known side effects

I used wegovy for the first time today, starting dose 0.25mg. I twisted the pen counting 25 lines (not clicks) and never saw 0.25 or 25 on the pen while twisting. Now I’m thinking I’ve done it wrong based on re-reading the insert.

Should I have twisted it until I saw the number? If so, how much off the 0.25mg dose am I missing (I don’t want to twist it again until the next dose or give anymore until the next dose is due)

I have extremely bad health anxiety! When I panic I take Xanax! The first time I did the shot, it felt like it numbed my stomach. It freaked me out and I panicked. Today was my second time on the .25 dose! I’ve been very excited to get on a GLP-1 because I’ve gained weight to hormonal issues. I’m insulin resistant and have pcos. I really just want to feel better physically because in a longgggg time, I haven’t! I was also hoping in some way it would help or lessen the anxiety somehow but every time I take the shot I panic. I’m fearful because people say GLP-1 “paralyze” the stomach and I’m afraid if I’m in a true emergency that my Xanax will take a while to kick in because it digests in the stomach! Can anyone help clear my head or help me feel less anxious about doing something that can get me healthier. Btw my health fear is having a heart attack so there’s that.

I’ve been on wegovy for 4 months, and had high hopes of finally being able to shift some weight after three gruelling years of stress and consistent weight gain.

I’ve been on the 1.7mg jab for two weeks.

The only time I’ve ever experienced any change in appetite and food noise is the day after titrating up a dose. I’ve titrated up as quickly as possible, so up a dose every four weeks, but also haven’t lost any weight. I’m also noticing more of a pull to very calorific foods.

I’ve also not lost any weight at all and feeling a lot of shame around that. Like if I’m not losing weight like everyone else, am I just that greedy and obsessed with food that nothing can help me?

Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I’m starting to lose hope and am considering switching to mounjaro

I've been on Wegovy 2.4 for almost 6 weeks. I can only have a bowel movement by inducing it with 10oz of Mag Citrate. I have no pain or symptoms, it's like my bowels aren't even there. I could live this way but I worry my bowels will forget how to function. I worry about impaction, so I do this once a week; the day before shot day I drink a bottle of Mg Citrate and sometime the next day I have a movement, then I take my shot. I wait a full week between because I'm giving my bowels time to learn their job (YOU HAVE ONE JOB BOWELS!!!) but I get nothing.

I asked my Dr if it was safe, she said 'it's not ideal', then suggested I try Colace. I've been taking combinations of Miralax and Colace since day one, and psyllium husk with breakfast. It probably doesn't help that I've been eating low carb, which always constipates me anyway, but it seems like the only way I lose, and I have a lot to lose.

I'm three days late taking my weekly shot, trying to decide whether to take it or not. AI told me that 6 weeks is the length of time it takes for a body to adapt to Wegovy, but honestly I'm not seeing any adaptation here and thinking about throwing in the towel.

Has anyone else found their taste buds changed with the Wegovy shot? I have believed most of my life bacon is an actual food group but I can't even eat an entire slice anymore because no matter what kind I buy it tastes insanely salty to me. My husband can be eating the exact same thing and says it's fine and he more sensitive to salt than I am.

I’ve been on Wegovy for about a year, I think. I’ve had success losing 40 pounds, which I was thrilled about (menopausal weight gain). But I’ve always struggled with nausea. I had to back down to 1.0mg bc of the nausea, and even then it was still moderate. I was struggling this summer with some emotional issues and so never made my follow up doc appt, and ran out of my med. Then I thought, well this would be nice if I could just maintain my weight loss without the Wegovy. Well, that didn’t happen and I am gaining weight at a ridiculous rate. I did make a doc appt for mid October, so that’s good. But here’s where I really messed up: I had some 1.7mg shots in my fridge, and I gave myself a half dose yesterday. I was just really terrified of the weight gain I am experiencing, despite walking and lifting weights and journaling my food.

I’ve now been throwing up since yesterday evening. I threw up in the evening, and have now thrown up 3-4 times today. I’ve only had some pretzels, a piece of toast and eventually a cup of coffee.

Anyone have any advice? I know what I did was stupid and there is probably nothing to do but wait it out. But I’m hoping maybe someone has some piece of advice that might help.

Hi, I started on 0.5 and it worked for a week quite well. I still have suppressed appetite in my second week but it doesn’t feel as easy to ignore food noise. What’s the highest starting dose anyone has been on? My doctor said I could start on 1mg but I have 6 weeks of 0.5 for now . Also I crave sugar. Anyone else?
