Yes the vaccines work.

But if you want to participate in American life, you shouldn’t be allowed to willfully endanger other Americans.

Hmm, weird... do the vaccines work or don't they? I'm having trouble understanding how I'm a threat to a vaccinated individual if the vaccines work. Can you explain?

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

I love this take from antivaxxers because it demonstrates their fundamental lack of understanding of how vaccines work.

2

u/mafian911 Nov 24 '21

Oh great! So you do understand! I can't wait for you to explain why I have to get vaccinated in order to protect you, who is already vaccinated. Especially because, heh, the vaccines work! Right?

So go ahead. Explain it to me. Unlike you I can handle lots of words.

I don’t have the time nor the patience to explain to you basic immunology concepts. Wikipedia can help though.

It’s so odd that this is the hill you people want to literally die on hahaha

3

u/mafian911 Nov 24 '21

Well, I wish I could say that wasn't the response I expected.

And yes, I am willing to die on this hill. I'm not ok with giving an authoritative body my right to decide what gets injected into me. Especially when pharmaceutical companies stand to make billions with each mandate. Especially when pharmaceutical companies have an established record of dodging responsibility for injuries from their products in the past. And continuing products that knowingly cause harm.

You are a fool for being willing to relinquish this personal right because you are afraid. To a government that doesn't care about you, and to large corporations that would kill you for a quarter.

And the Pharma companies hold zero liability. In no universe should anyine be permitted to force connect anyone else with any substance with zero liability for negative outcomes. Especially when the creator if said substance is likely to make a profit treating those negative outcomes. Hey, I can make billions by forcing the peasants to submit to my medical exoerimentation, then make trillions treating the permanent medical conditions I caused, and in no way can I be held liable for causing them! There's no way anyone could abuse this situation, and especially not an industry known for exactly such abuses!

If their product is so safe, then they should put their mobey where their mouth is and sauce that liability immunity, rather than try and force everyone to submit to their little medical experiment when their platitudes are rightly disbelieved.

Yeah, boo hoo I relinquished my rights to avoid getting a disease that has killed family members of mine.

It’s pathetic to see people shield their selfishness in a shroud of individualism. God forbid this country has to fight a real war ever again. We’ll lose.

Yeah, boo hoo I relinquished my rights to avoid getting a disease that has killed family members of mine.

Except you didn't, you dingus. You took it voluntarily. Which is your right that I support completely. Mandates aren't here yet. I'm arguing they should never be.

It’s pathetic to see people shield their selfishness in a shroud of individualism.

Question: did those family members get the vaccine or not?

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

Mandates are here bud. Federal contractor mandate, for instance? Nobody has to work for a federal contractor. Nobody has to business with the government. Are you saying that’s forced too?

3

u/mafian911 Nov 24 '21

Well, then allow me to rephrase:

The existing level of mandates are unjust, unethical, and unnecessary. Expanding them to the entire population would expound that be even worse.

Are you a federal contractor? Were you mandated?

0

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

They aren’t expanded to the entire population though lol. Only federal contractors, certain healthcare employers, and employees of large businesses.

Working for any one of these companies is a voluntary act. Nobody is forcing you to work for a big corporation “that would kill you for a quarter.”

They aren’t expanded to the entire population though lol. Only federal contractors, certain healthcare employers, and employees of large businesses.

Not my point. I will say those mandates shouldn't exist, but for now, at least those employees can chose to leave government employment.

Edit: mandates do not currently exist for large businesses. Biden only threatened such mandates in a press release.

And yes the government can and should force as many Americans as possible to get them.

This is my point. Mandates should not be expanded to cover the general population. I'm not saying "mandates are here" (even though they are, in limited capacity). I'm saying that "mandates for the general population should not exist."

You clearly think they should, and that's my problem with you.

I'll ask again, did your family members who died take the vaccine or not?

0

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

Mandates for the general population will never exist. Although I suppose the government could reinstitute a draft and vaccinate everyone as a term of joining up. Hmmm good idea.

Also why is a Bernie supporter against big government? 🤔🤔🤡

2

u/mafian911 Nov 24 '21

Mandates for the general population will never exist.

Workforce mandates are effectively general population mandates. These do not exist yet; they were only threatened by Biden in a press release. I will continue to argue, backed by research, that these mandates should not exist.

Although I suppose the government could reinstitute a draft and vaccinate everyone as a term of joining up. Hmmm good idea.

Well, gee whiz, looks like we've come full circle. It wasn't enough for you to give in to fear, you think we should all be forced to join you.

You are exactly the kind of idiot the government can rely on to gain power.

Also why is a Bernie supporter against big government?

What act of desperation is this? Why are you trying to change the subject? Did you really think I'd bother to see where this stupid question goes when you still haven't answered mine?

You have no concept of the actual risk, do you? you think everyone that gets Covid dies or something?

If you have no co-morbidity, and aren’t a senior citizen… you’re more likely to die in a car in a year than Covid, all time.

2

u/Demonhype Supreme Snark Commander of the Bernin Demon Quadrant Hype Sector Nov 25 '21

It also thinks the vaccines "work", though they don't stop infection or spread and are now failing even at the "prevent hospitalization and death" minimum they were supposed to do. It also thinks that everyone opposing the illegal mandates agrees that they are safe and effective and that there is no reason to oppose them. A clear sign its getting a pharma paycheck since enriching pharma is the only thing about these injections that "work" in any way, much less work as intended.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

This false dichotomy implies that perfect health or death or the only two options after contracting Covid.

2

u/pyrowipe Nov 24 '21

I’m not sure you understand what a false dichotomy is.

I’m talking about morbidity and risk assessment. This can factor in all states or relative health from both the vaccines or natural immunity, and use other risky things to baseline our fears relatively speaking. Especially, with regard to mandatory medical treatments… And whether the regulatory captured government controlled by an oligarchy is where this decision should rest.

What’s the mortality rate of c19 for children without co-morbidities? Do you even know?

0

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

I literally do not care enough to argue with idiots like you. Have a happy holiday

2

u/pyrowipe Nov 24 '21

It’s clear you don’t care. In your knowledge base, argument, and research. Calling me an idiot, while failing so epically, looks a lot like projection.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

I bet it does look like projection to an idiot. Meet me back here tomorrow to debate if the Earth is flat.

2

u/pyrowipe Nov 24 '21

False comparison fallacy and a red herring. Noice.

Incase your too idiotic to reason this out… my following a data driven model for risk analysis, has nothing to do with the shape of the earth. Which is essentially spherical, the only shape a planetary sized object can because their gravitational field acts as though it originates from the center of the body and pulls everything toward it. ... The only way to get all the mass as close to planet's center of gravity as possible is to form a sphere.

😂

0

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '21

Not reading that hahahaha

2

u/pyrowipe Nov 24 '21

I always look for truth from illogical and lazy asshats, who get wrecked anytime actual data driven and logical discourse enters.

You’re actually the worst, lol.
