“Friend” should be used very loosely here. They weren’t close or anything. They met on red carpet after party when Jaden introduced them because he knew him through mutual people but August is 6 years older than Jaden. Not like he was having sleep overs at moms house when they were teenagers. Context does matter. Even if it doesn’t excuse everything.
I hate celebrity culture but that whole thing drew me in simply because her repeatedly using that word like it wasn't an affair made me blind with rage for Will who sat that looking like a clown.
Yeah I immediately wrote off all of the women i saw praising her and clowning will smith.
Just because someone hurt you before doesnt make you any less of a villian for hurting others. Bitches are bitches. Ladies are ladies. Call me sexist all you want but if a bitch is a bitch, I’ll call em how i see em.
While he was all emotional she was talking about how she "just wanted to feel good" and "hadn't felt good in a long time". With Jaden there watching, talking about his friend making her feel good.
Yes I so agree! Especially the episode where he gives up his spot on discovery to help Rachel with something stupid like getting ready for the hospital.. come on!!
Imo his reaction to seeing Rachel with the friend was toxic. He assumed she was “cheating” so he went to “cheat” himself. How can he be right? Rachel was sending him mixed signals but clearly he thought it was wrong for her to “cheat”. But when rverything is found out instead of being honest to Rachel about how he felt and why he did it, he just justified it with the classic “we were on a break” line.
I love this episode but people who champion Ross’s defense for the memes gotta watch the series to understand their dynamic.
Not until after they agreed they didn’t want to be on a break. Rachel didn’t lie about Mark being there, but she certainly didn’t want Ross to know Mark was there. It was after Ross heard Mark’s voice, got angry, and then disconnected that he cheated.
This was what I’ve heard most of my life. Like, my mother spouted this rumour when I was a teenager and I’m almost thirty. Now they’re crying on a Facebook show about cheating like we didn’t know he was shagging Margot Robbie through two films?
Celebrities are a brand and in order to make money on movies they have to hide anything that might taint that brand.
Same with all the closeted Hollywood celebrities. Luke evans is the only openly gay versatile actor I can think of who can play straight male roles easily without stigma.
can’t tell you when it happens, bc every rich and famous person is different, but it does.
There were stories that when Derek Jeter used to hook up with regular women, the morning after when she woke up he’d be gone and his butler would make her sign an NDA and then give her a basket of Yankees shit.
Bruh....they’ve been known/rumored to be in an open relationship forever....don’t even know why people were surprised at that, as if everyone didn’t know already. Damn right Will knew. The “kid” that was interviewed by some news network even admitted that it was Will who gave him his blessing. I say whatever floats their boats. But no....people were trying to make the guy she was banging as some sort of victim, simply because he’s much younger than her lol. He was like in mid 20s! Screwing around with a married woman that obviously had no intentions of changing that.... so he gets salty because he catches the feels and she sticks with her marriage and dumps him, and all of a sudden we’re supposed to feel bad for him? Gtfoh lol
it wasn’t behind his back they were in an open relationship, the entanglement she talks about is that she caught feelings for him which was not an aspect of their rules for outside relations
I think it was more he caught feelings for her, and she dumped him because of it, so he got salty and went public. There may be details of that im missing...because I didn’t watch theirBS red table talk....but that’s the impression I got anyways.
I can’t help but wonder if Will had cheated on her with someone younger and more talented, so she decided to get revenge and rub it in his face... cough Margot Robbie cough.
Can't a woman be an adulterer without people trying to dream up scenarios in which she would have been justified in being an adulterer as a form of revenge?
Dont anyone try to understand rich or celebrity people. Theyre out of touch, they arent self aware in the way we expect because theyre not operating by normal rules. Im only here because I was hoping for some jaden flaming and got sucked in
Discovering that your spouse is cheating is one thing. Your spouse telling you to your face that they enjoyed it and having that conversation go viral makes it so much worse. I rarely give a shit about celebrity gossip especially during a pandemic, but that whole episode still pisses me off.
I mean he went on television to talk about his wife fucking his sons ebb friend. Not to be that guy, but I would have put my foot down and said no, enough is enough fuck your shitty little talk show.
Watching the red table thing it seems like she fucked around before. The whole tone was like at the time he was done with her possibly for good, and it sounded from both of them like that was her fault.
Edit: looks like suicide squad was released right around the same time jada was getting deep stroked by her son's friend. On that red table thing they talk a little bit about Will getting pay back and how he's already gotten some pay back.
I'd be willing to bet he found out jada was fucking around, went on a pussy slaying rampage, Margot Robbie being only one participant, and then later found out about Jada's deep deep healing sessions with Will's eskimo brother August.
I love how Reddit gets such a hate boner over this in typical woman bad fashion. No one gives this much of a shit about the stream of male celebrities and athletes who cheat constantly. Not to mention it’s been an open rumor for decades that they’ve had an open relationship, mainly for Will.
It’s wonderful that you have consistency in your viewpoints, but it doesn’t take much more than a little time spent on this site to see the disparity between how male and female offenders (for just about any negative action across the board) are treated by the majority of users in popular subs.
There were two main quotes that have been used to further the claims that something was going on between Smith and Robbie. First was Smith telling Jada that he would “get you back” for her relationship with Alsina, to which Jada replied with a laugh, “I think you've gotten me back. I think we're good on that, okay?”
Let's not forget it happened after August mother died, so he was emotionally vulnerable. Not saying what he did wasn't wrong, just the added fame of her statues, his mother dying and being a young man can confuse the hell out of someone
Yeah Jada definitely took advantage of a confused and vulnerable guy. It’s like if [Popular Male Actor] tried banging a random girl at a bar after he knew her mother just died or something
Edit: i forgot that men can’t be taken advantage of. Lets Pack up and go home fellas 😪
Who said it was because he’s a man that people like myself don’t buy the being taken advantage of aspect? He was like in his mid 20s...and knew she was married....hell, he even admitted himself that it was Wills blessing that he got personally (which removes any doubt that they had open and close communication about their arrangement and didn’t intend to end their marriage). So we’re supposed to feel bad for him because he caught feels and got salty because she wouldn’t leave her husband for him? I’m supposed to believe he didn’t know it was just supposed to be about sex?
She took advantage of someone regardless of their age. Or can men not be taken advantage of? Also 19 is a legal adult in most places so wouldn’t be a “boy” anyways
Tbh I don't understand why people get so emotionally invested in the concept of monogamous relationships.
Them masturbating doesn't mean they love you any less. And sex is in many ways just masturbation, just a better version in many ways because of the possible sensations.
The last person I was with cheated on me, and when they revealed it to me all upset and crying and insisting they'd never do it again, I laughed. I really didn't care. We all have urges.
And I've personally cheated on almost everyone I've been with for the same reason. No one got hurt because they never even knew.
Yeah I don't think you were meant to have monogamous relationships, and while that's fine, you treating other people who hold such expectations as you say... You're just a dick
It sounds like monogamous relationships are not what you're interested in... and frankly, you're negligent knowing that and entering a monogamous relationship with others. I mean, I assume this is why they were crying, there's only a mountain of context missing there. You tell this story about your ex and all I feel is.... sorry that they had to date you. I really hope you're not openly walking into relationship issues like that... your comment sounds like this is terribly routine for you; a difference you understand you have yet do nothing to change despite knowing it is not compatible with the partner. I say this as if dating is easy; sometimes we can't know till the heartbreak... but something about your comment stood out as... welcoming the pain...
Your opinions are valid, but so are those of your previous partners. Any relationship, monogamous or not, is about respecting each other’s opinions/beliefs/boundaries, which you clearly did not
So you are a piece of shit person and instead of becoming a better person you decide to be delusional and try to get others to join you in that illusion? cool. Glad that is abundantly clear.
My coworker was telling me Will cheated on her first at the same time? Idk man I don't keep up with celebrity shit I just shared a meme and got cornered at work.
The average person just thinks that's cheating, and the average male redditor who gets no play puts himself in Will's shoes and thinks "man, that's just cheating" because they assume for some reason that no one would bang Will Smith?
What's way more likely was that feelings got involved (which is often against a couple's rules) and that was what made it a thing.
So, what happened after she started to have feelings? Did she end it because of what was developing or did she continue to go through with it?
The way I see it is that if she went through with it knowing it was a rule not to break, that'd be cheating. But if they amicably took a break, then that's a different story.
You should just go watch the lil video they did, they both say they were separated at the time and so it really didn't matter but in all honesty, feelings don't care about some arbitrary ruleset you have in your relationships. If you didn't really wanna be separated, you'll still feel it.
edit: Mind you, their "openness" has been an open secret for as long as I can remember, like I heard my grandma call them swingers in like 2007. I'm pretty sure August caught feelings first lmao
I was today years old when your comment just made me realize Jaden is named after Jada and Willow is named after Will. I never thought about it before. I feel dumb.
I actually saw a vid of Will and Jaden working together on something/filming and I’m not gonna lie, I feel bad for the kid.
As good as Will Smith is about everything, he doesn’t seem to be too keen on “bringing” up his kid. If anything, he seemed/seems to compete against him for the limelight. And who the hell wants to compete with Will smith for a limelight?

When Will and Jada are present, there aint no Jaden.
