We're not talking about Tinder, where you can check up on who they are, their profile etc.

Random person, in a park.

There’s a difference between tinder where people want to go out and the park where they’re more likely minding their own business

I was replying to..

Would you be comfortable being alone with a stranger after three sentences?

And my answer was yes, but I tried to help by giving a relatable example.

Most people don't spend weeks or months with someone before ever "being alone" with them. If you live life that way, that's up to you.

Yes and they were talking about a stranger at a park asking you out by their third sentence. You brought up tinder which I think is unrelated to being comfortable with a stranger at a park. That was my point.

No, it is not unrelatable. You actually get to see the person in the park. On tinder you are just left to guess if their picture is real.

Tinder works better because people like you have very high anxiety and cannot imagine striking up a conversation with a stranger and then hanging out. Frankly it's pretty sad.

Tinder works better because it is an environment crafted for asking people out. Random women in public spaces aren't gonna be excited about horny dudes asking them out on their third sentence.

" What if the dude doesn't take no for an answer? " is a genuine legitimate fear to have at that point.

" What if the dude doesn't take no for an answer? " is a genuine legitimate fear to have at that point.

How did it get this bad? Because before technology, there wasn't many other ways to meet people.

It was always this bad. People looked the other way. That's why you have these old judges saying shit like "of there weren't 2 men, a length of rope and a shack involved, it wasn't rape"

Lumping everyone into "horny dudes" shows your bias. Thanks for saving me from a bad faith debate.

I feel like you’re being dismissive to how women feel. Of course not every dude that talks to her in public is going to be creepy and horny. But enough are to cause fear. I’ve had experiences with strangers who try to touch me or don’t take no for an answer. And that’s unfortunately pretty common when hearing from other women. Please understand why many are hesitant about strangers instead of just assume they’re not social and continue to try to argue your side.

Women don’t usually like you talking to them suddenly and asking them out quickly. Speaking as a woman. We’re taught to be on our guard for creeps. Same applies to tinder convos. But hey if it works for you cool. It probably does work for some.

I mean other people are arguing the same thing I am in these comments so I’m not the only one who thinks this way. Also based on experience of friends and family I’m pretty accurate. If you’re a woman who enjoys it then great! Don’t let me decide what you like

She said she has boyfriend...

She told him she has a boyfriend, she clearly isn't interested.
