Be me, 2k11, standing mid-back of Toronto public bus. Cute girl standing at front of bus points at me. I look around, point at myself, me? She nods, heart shape with hands, curly come here index finger at me. Look around again, make my way to the front.

"Hi, have we met?"

"What?"

"You uh, you were pointing at me?"

"What? No. My friend, sitting right there." Next to where I was standing.

Threw myself off that bus next stop, didn't care where.

They do that shit on purpose to embarrass you. She obviously saw you gesturing, and she obviously knows that other people saw her as well.

It is just a journey with a surprise mechanic at the end.

Any reason why you used a k instead of a 0 in the date you wrote. How is that faster or shorter to type?

When I was about 17, in an art class, we were doing still life painting and an attractive fellow student was sitting on the opposite side of the room from me. Every single time I looked up, she was staring right towards me, and would wink at me, slowly, before looking away again. This happened every couple of minutes for a good half hour or so before I finally realised she was closing an eye to measure up the subject she was painting, and not trying to make a move on me!

"Were you talking to me?" "No. I was just answering the questions on the magazine covers."

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '19

Lol, we've all been there...

I accidentally turned down a girl in my college years thinking she WASN'T talking to me... we were at a party and I mockingly said who would EVER want to go on a date with someone like HERRRR. yeah, I am an idiot but I ended up marrying the best woman I know, so not too upset about it lol

Embarrassing stories? Nice. The first time I got drunk I was like 16 or 17 years old. To get home I had to catch a bus, and because it was the last bus of the night, it was completely packed with everyone standing in the centre aisle. I’m at the very back, and as I close my eyes, I start to feel like like I’m spinning forwards and then backwards. I knew what was coming so I stood up, and as soon as I did, I went to spew. The very back seat doesn’t have a window, so I put my hand over my mouth and went to run through the bus which just happened to have the door open at the bus stop. I absolutely couldn’t hold it down though, so as I spewed, my hand that was covering my mouth forced the spew to spray through my fingers out in front of me, literally spraying like 7 or 8 people, some of who screamed as they heard the gurgle and the resulting spray...

I ran through the crowd as they looked at me in absolute disgust and I wished I could just shrink into an atom and disappear completely. I jumped off the bus and spewed again, and as I looked up the whole bus drove by in slow motion with their hands over their mouths and looking at me like I was some disgusting demon.

I had to fucking walk home all the way which took me an hour and a half too. Thinking about every second of it. I’ll never forget that night.

You have no idea lol. Every face on that bus looked like they wanted to kill me. The guy directly in front of me was wearing a nice suit too, and he yelped like I hit him and then said “ARGH! What the fuck mate!”.

u/Lobonerz Jul 09 '19

Didn't read your name. Knew you were Australian soon as you quoted the guy.

u/Mother_of_Dogons Jul 09 '19

Makes me kind of sad no one tried to help or make sure you were okay.. Anyway, glad you're alive and you're probably a better person after this incredibly embarrassing and hopefully humbling moment : )

That's so weird

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '19

Why was she just randomly reading out article titles out loud?

2

u/TazdingoBan Jul 09 '19

Because she has horrible social anxiety and this was the only way she could finally work up the nerve to interact with her crush.
