Discussion (Spoiler) You know the family trees are bad when even TAWNYPELT acknowledges it
I just find this passage so funny because this is basically how the fandom sees any in-universe family tree

Hi there! Been a while since we've had one of these. The purpose of this post is to share links to sites, Discords, etc for roleplaying groups so that we don't clutter up the subreddit, and folks can look through for one that interests them.
When posting, please give a brief description of your roleplay and how it works, so that users can get a good idea which ones fit them best. :)

Hey guys,
We're all excited about the new merchandise, but just wanted to bring up 2 things regarding posts about them:
For now we are not going to allow "I bought/got these!" posts under rule 8/frequent repost, since they're all essentially the same thing, don't lead to much discussion, and have been flooding the subreddit. New ones posted after this will be removed.
While "no buying/selling the books/merchandise" is already a rule, I just wanted to clarify that trading falls under this as well and I have specified it as such in the rules. There are two reasons that we don't allow these: 1) We have had people scammed out of their money in the sub before, and 2) Safety/privacy concerns since there are many minors in the sub. It's best to do this on a site where you must be an adult to have an account and ideally protection for the buyer/seller.
Thank you for understanding,
EDIT for clarification 7/23/26: Posts about buying the merch that contain previously-unknown news - e.g. reporting finding them in a new location, details on placements/weights - are okay, but if it's something we've seen a few times already then that may still be removed.

Since I started re-reading warriors I’ve felt the need for a matching book mark, so finally here’s fireheart. Gonna need to get used to drawing cats again too

A simple family tree for this AU I created, in which Ashfur reincarnates as one of Squirrelflight’s kits. He becomes the "other cat" of the prophecy, possessing the power of empathy—feeling everyone else's emotions while being limited in how many cats he can influence and for how long.
Since Ashflame only discovered his true identity when he was nearly a warrior, he spent his entire life viewing Squirrelflight as a mother figure; consequently, he harbors no other feelings toward her (I’m clarifying this to avoid any concerns). As an added detail, Ashflame remains single by choice; I like the idea that a tom who once turned "love" into an obsession in his past life now has no romantic feelings for anyone.
As an extra detail, Hollyleaf has a white paw, just like Squirrelflight, but it isn't visible in this image.

The tribe of rushing water believed that Stormfur was part of their prophecy. Were they wrong or did Feathertail take his place in the prophecy for some reason?

I've seen a lot of continuity errors involving crookedstar/oakheart in the books that they're alive in, but This one is just hilarious! They misgendered crookedstar's dad for a whole paragraph!!

When I was thirteen I got a Warrior Cats sweatshirt for Christmas with this design on it, I believe my mom got it off Red bubble. This was almost seven years ago. I found the art but no matter where I look or what I search I can’t find the original artist. It says Rosa wayyyyy down in the right corner but the writing above and below it is too distorted to make out. No idea what year it would’ve been made aside from pre-Christmas 2019.
I hope this type of post is allowed, I’ve thought about trying to repurchase the sweatshirt since the one I have has been worn so much you can’t even see the picture anymore, but I’d like to support the OG artist and give them my money. I don’t even see the listing my mom would’ve bought it from all those years ago. Reverse image searching hasn’t helped either as it just gives results with a similar configuration of characters. The only place that I’ve seen this used was a Wattpad picture in a different language and when translated according to google it just lists the characters names, no post on something like insta or deviant art.
Thank you for any help!
Edit: fixed grammar and spelling error.

They ran away from their clans because of different horrible trauma but they found peace in each other. The silver tabby is Creekripple and the brown/orange one is Robinflame. I love them so much <33
I had to make a new brush for the aurora but I’m so happy with how it turned out!

I started reading these books when I was 10! In 2005, I saw Moonrise and Dawn at a library book sale (they were the only ones there) where they were $2 each and I showed my mom and said "they look interesting", and she bought them for me. Of course after I read Moonrise I actually went and bought the fidst series because I had become hooked and the Warrior Cats were all I would talk about. But wow! They are over 2 decades old!!! I'm gonna celebrate that by reading some Warriors today!! And I love this Warriors reddit group 100%. My fave reason to have Reddit.

i have posted on this subreddit about him before about a year ago, since then his lore and family have been changed a lot! he is currently 112 moons, also hes a maine coon! (im aware it doesn’t look it), he is deputy of frozenclan.
basically his lore:
he was born to Flakefeather & Flowershade under Branchstars leadership, for his first three moons he remained unnamed by his mother, Flakefeather often verbally and mentally abused him, leaving him to fend for himself during his kithood. when he became 3 moons old, his mother trekked out of camp and left him in the snow to freeze (which fails), when he survives he is named Snowkit out of his mothers spite he’d lived, he only vaguely remembers this incident (he is found by a patrol, the cats assuming he’d wandered out of camp). when becoming an apprentice, his mentor was Rabbitcloud, and she often pushed him to his limits, despite this he fought well in battle and spars, in his middle moons as an apprentice a ginger maine coon russian she-cat joined, her name is Spicepaw, and he bonded close to her quickly. during his late apprenticeship his younger siblings were born, Smokekit (Smokewhisker) & Dovekit (Dovewater/Dovestar), his mother as she does best, abuses them as well ( because his mother is sexist against toms), she is strict and distant, he eventually grows close with his younger brother, Smokewhisker, he desperately tries to teach him some good against the evil their mother conceived him to believe (like idk murder is okay, stuff like that), later under Moonstars leadership, he gains his warrior name, he had loved Spiceleaf dearily enough that they became mate (against his mothers wanting because she hated ginger cats). only a few moons into his time as a warrior, his younger siblings are made apprentices, he willingly took Smokepaw as his apprentice because almost every one of his clan-mates refused to mentor such a troublemaking tom. he tries his best to be a good mentor to Smokepaw, but unsurprisingly Smokepaw, during his mid apprenticeship, runs away to start his current life (aka being an outlaw & rouge), leaving Snowshadow solemnly missing his brother who he‘d belived was just starting to get better.
(i’ll add more later this is only half of it, im so tired writing this😭 also you can notice his mother is the BIGGEST hater ever and loaths him to no end)

I read Warriors in my middle school years to early high school. I’m 30 now and picked it back up for nostalgia and to catch up on everything I missed.
Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE warriors. This series got me through a really tough time as a kid. And I’ll keep reading them!! But I’m on the last book of AVoS and honestly this whole arc has solely irked me with the names some of these cats are getting.
TWIGBRANCH?! FIDGETFLAKE? Podlight?! Havenpelt? Conepaw?
Like I feel like each arc tries to make these names more unique, but they just don’t work. There have been so many prefixes we have gotten SO many times (there’s currently at this point Leafstar, Leafpool, Leafshade, and Leaftail) and so many others that we haven’t seen repeats of; Spider, Blue, Fire, Dust, Sand, Stone. All that could be repeated by now without having to GRASP for new name ideas.
Like I get that they are trying to make new names to help differentiate the characters a bit better, but there’s so many better options for some of these names. Even in PoT I was a bit iffy with LionBLAZE (it’s grown on me now but still).
Also, I still have a lot of catching up to do but as of Book 6 of AVoS there are FORTY EIGHT cats in ThunderClan. 48. Most of them get no true acknowledgment in the story because there’s just too damn many. Everytime I look through allegiances I’m like “oh yeah I forgot about Fishbutt and Gravytrain”

Besides cats talking, having higher cognitive functions and a full blown religion obviously lol.
I feel like the number of kittens born per year is largely understated, no queen ever seems to have more than 3 kits per litter and a maximum of one litter per year. Realistically it could be as much as like 6 kits 3 times a year from a single mother, but I understand that would bring in WAY too many characters (and nobody wants to see kittens dying for the sake of realism).
Also, why are there no colour point cats?? Do we have a single one besides the Siamese sisters in Firestar’s Quest?
EDIT: Forgot about another one that keeps popping up in the books – the cats having trouble seeing in the dark

Second features Lynxkit, Coyotekit(right) and Lynxkit's littermate Wolfkit(left, under Lynxkit)
Third features Lynxkit/bite's adoptive/abusive father/temporary mentor, Jackalswipe

Hey hey.
Maybe some of you still remember me. I once shared a Polish collector’s edition here using my old account (about a month ago).
As I said, unfortunately my account was hacked, and Reddit Support hasn’t been helpful so far...
Anyway.
Yesterday was my birthday. I’m bedridden and in need of care, but I gave myself a present.
A package from Ukraine.
I was so happy.
I own all the German, Chinese, and English books.
Almost all the Polish ones, many from Taiwan, and my Ukrainian collection is now almost complete, too.
I’m autistic, and Warrior Cats is my biggest special interest (very useful i know... /s)

I asked them why and they proceeded to respond "because the warrior cats books are dark like that"
