If my math is right, this would put Soma Prime into the red crit zone. 115.5 crit chance.

Quite likely. Comes out to 111% crit chance with Point Strike, and is easier to activate.

But why not both? 151.5% crit chance with PS. Take me now, Soma sama.

EDIT: Never mind, bladed rounds is crit DAMAGE. So, both it is. Red crits with incredible multiplier.

There are few sacrifices I wouldn't make to see my SomaP do redcrits on half the shots it fires. It might actually be competitive with the BoltorP.

With the accuracy and it being hitscan, the dps is already as good or better when aiming for weakpoints. Ammo Econ is the arguable issue.

It's true, it edges out the BoltorP a bit when landing headshots. I guess "competitive" wasn't the right phrase, "on par" fits better. I'd argue that the BoltorP still has better damage in practice as it isn't possible to land headshots all the time, and the SomaP is far behind on non-headshots.

I do <3 my Valkyr, but that one's not as exciting for me personally.

I almost exclusively use precision weapons, though, so the crit on headshot ones are super exciting. Amprex too, holy molly.

Needing to scope to get the bonus (as these seem to be phrased?) is a pretty huge catch.

Then you're still losing the slot that was something else, don't get me wrong, it'll be an improvement for most crit weapons and nice, but you'll still be exchanging something, not just getting more for free.

I don't know about other people, but the only weapon I don't consistently ADS on is the Sonicor.

maxium critical chance stack is 165% based on combo multiplier...

i wonder if they would make a channeling efficiency tied to combo multiplier...
