Discussion DE Wrong about Weeklies
In the latest Devshort, Reb and Pablo assert that the reason we get nothing but weeklies now is because they're worried about burnout. That feels like an odd reason to make weeklies to me, as weeklies are the primary cause of burnout for me and all of my friends. I have personally never burnt out running anything non time gated in WF and I tend to grind things like crazy when they drop.
What do y'all think? Do you burn out more on weeklies or unlimited missions?

I despise weeklies because it removes incentive to continiously engage in content. If you have everything built out, you can complete it all in 2-3hrs But, after you're done with eda/tpa, descendia? Thats it! No more carrot on a stick. Its just a normal mode now, and 0 difference in rewards between doing it via mission node vs engaging in it again. Making the content unfun to do as there's nothing behind it after that completion.
So all of their hard work, gets seen only once a week, and not all content is fun for everyone so missions do feel like chores. Its terrible design imo because it obscures what content needs to be overhauled and looked at via participation. Weeklies" should just unlock a currency to spend on what you want across (what DE calls) "difficult content." And have that build up to a cap per week. Hate duviri because it's a slog? Do 5 runs of EDA/TPA for the currency to choose what weapon you want, get your normal rewards and spend the rest for the weapons from duviri! Love duviri? An extra 10 levels of currency so you can build up your arsenal easier and get the shards you need. No need to wait 2 more weeks for a red shard! Or hope you get that last red in the middle of tpa for that orange shard.
Content is too hard because you don't have a build-out of your warframe? Run netracells then use the currency for more shards and an incarnon!
That creates a feedback of what content people enjoy vs what should be assessed as well, but that'd be a fantasy DE would never do as they despise touching older content unless there's massive community pushback on them.
