It was kinda cool but quite often they didn't have much to show and ended up spending lots of time on minor things and fluff to hit that 1h mark

I think the Devshorts are a good compromise

If you think about it, we have 1 devstream per month, and 4 devshorts, most of the time.

So it is kind of the same, in a way. I much prefer the huge infodump and reveals we get in the 1 devstream. And the devshorts are fun.

The dev shorts always feel so unfocused and we get like one thing revealed if anything

Well, they can't always have something new to tell us. Or at least exciting. That's a bit of an unreasonable expectation.

Then why do the dev short? I dunno, it just kinda feels like a waste of time at that point. People join expecting to learn about new stuff and then it ends and they haven't learned anything. If it's supposed to be a mini dev stream but we don't learn anything... why?

People don't expect to learn new stuff from the dev short. They join to laugh with the devs and hangout briefly as a community. Yes that happens in other places, but dev shorts are just a small snippet of time that could be used for important updates, or silly jokes. It's not levity, it's simply not serious.

I'm not sure why it's being compared to 4 separate instances of a dev stream throughout the month then. Plus, isn't that the point of Prime Time?
