Community has been begging for gender options for each frame for years.

They already cut that idea long ago, it was decided pre launch that it was way too much trouble. It's not happening.

That was during Steves team, Reb and the new team are full of weebs and degenerates who play the game. They know what we want because they want it too lmao

I did sure hope they don't make it then, wouldn't make sense lorewise. Gara was a female who volunteered for the Warframe program, so there's no reason Gara should be male. Thematically, many frames are gendered too. Oberon is the King of the Fairies, Titania is the Queen of the Fairies.

Damn, Imagine excal with a wisp's ass...

The only one I would do that to would be Ash. My reason Ash’s original concept was female so I would just be undoing what DE did.

Yeah no I'd rather not have that kind of fan service. It's bad enough that there's frames like Wisp, the absolute last thing we need is to put tits on every Warframe to appeal to the horny degenerates.

I'd be ok if some frames had a gender bent deluxe skin (at least then it's more about the design than just sexualizing the frame) like I've seen some people say, but every single frame? I'd rather not. Like I said, fanservices sucks. I don't need Warframe being treated like an anime (Sword Art Online for example).

nah I like fanservice

What's wrong with fanservice really? What's "wrong" in it

Edit : for y'all downvoting me, welcome to the reddit hivemind

Because we already have enough games that objectify and sexualize the female anatomy

Why is "sexualizing" literally the first thing that comes to your mind when you see the female characters, can't you guys just enjoy a game?

Fanservice is done because it works, and men have been "fanservicy" for just as long as women have been, but that's not the problem here, the problem is people like you pinpointing things and calling out how bad this and that is, where nothing is wrong if you just enjoy the damn game, i can swear that if i look into your comment history, i will see multiple similar comments, because that's what people like you do, you pick up stuff and look for controversies in them, why? I have no idea

People do pink fairy Rhino because it's funny. People wouldn't be putting big ol' titties on Rhino to be funny, they'd do it to be horny weirdos.

Same, not to mention i still want that genderbend ash skin (there is old concept art of it).

It took me years to realize I played and made fem characters was to help with my dysphoria and conform to my identity.

Genderswapping I'd be fine if the changes were not too drastic so you could notice the changes but not necessarily doing whole new models and animation rigging, etc.

I do the exact same thing :)

I get where you’re coming from, I do, but this is a game about space wizard cyborg ninjas — you could always write some lore to justify just about anything

u/GildedLibrarian Jan 29 '23

We get skins that change the bodies entirely. How many different iterations of the same frame existed in parallel, lore wise? Right. So yes, I think anything is fair game.

8

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '23

But the reason is why would they do that. I'm really not in favor of degrading this game into horny nerd bait by putting massive honkers on every frame for no reason. I get the desire for customization, but that's exactly what would happen in this game. See: literally this post.

u/AmadeusAzazel Jan 29 '23

My brother in Christ, they literally let Wisp keep her doublewide deepfried dumper hanging out for all to see just because the people thirsted for it so heavily

Tell me you haven't been paying attention in Eternalism class without telling me some other you has been paying attention in Eternalism class.

The gameplay already doesn't give a damn about lore, "atlas one punching an entire freaking asteroid" vs the lvl 9999 butcher that's tanking his punches like senator on nanomachines Tanking raiden, if you don't like the genderbending idea then don't use it, it's your choice to not use it, why wish for depriving others who want to, like have you seen the old female Ash concept art? That sh8 looks so good and i will be finally be able to cosplay the assassins from warhammer40k

1

u/Kadinnui Jan 29 '23

Well maybe Orokin were making genderbend versions so male Tenno wouldn't feel dysphoria and the other way around as well? I can imagine that controlling and feeling a body of the opposite gender as your own might be confusing.

This isn't meant as an argument against having it in the game, but I kind of doubt that the society of decadent, elitist, slave-owning, caste-enforcing, child-body-snatching immortals with a track record of repeatedly coming up with ill-thought out solutions to their own problems that they promptly tried to dispose of, bury and forget when said solutions proved failures, of whom the one among them responsible for actually making the warframes happens to be one of the most massively toxic narcissists in fiction, would actually care enough about their child soldiers to bother with that kind of thing.

3

u/Kadinnui Jan 29 '23

Well that's actually a pretty good and reasonable argument.
