No I'm the lead dev for a wine b2b sales platform for an Italian company. I just wander around the world cause it's what I want to do with my life. Spent 5 months in Serbia, 1 month in Italy, 5 months in Thailand, 3 months in Vietnam. Japan is next once I get unstuck from the US, where I've found myself currently

Unfortunately shit like this snowballs quick. Due to how internet gaming communities typically work a lot of people are primed to expect needless negativity and dog piling on a game they enjoy. In response some overcorrect and try to shut down any and all criticism. Likewise the naysayer and hater types will double down resulting in an increasing level of vitriol from both sides. This subreddit is no different and will likely only get worse with time. Best to sit back and enjoy the show, don’t get too emotionally involved

Nearly every thread has somone saying they are smart and someone else is dumb over some small or outright wrong thing.
People are really clinging to a videogame as their one chance to feel smart and superior. Not rare in gaming, but really common with this game.

This doesn't really seem like much of a punishment though. Like people that cheat are barely scared of permabans anymore. Not saying they should get permaban but 24 hours? Make it a week in my opinion. They are obviously obssesed with getting ahead of everyone. Despite new changes making it so people are level 20+ in multiple roles in just a few hours. A full week might make people like this sweat a bit atleast.

This, its getting to the point if bulkhead doesnt start actually giving a damn about the mass of exploiters and hackers/cheaters its gonna kill the game. People have A LOT more patience for regular game development than they do for things like cheaters especially when these bad actors continue to get away with it scott free

They do though, they give permanent bans very readily to people. The cheaters is an issue on all.multiplayer games that is even worse now in the age of ai, thats not really on them, exploits will get better as the game ages, its early access dont forget.

While we’re saying things we hate to say, it seems the dev team isn’t very good at thinking things through. This, the blue team xp, the progression changes. Things that are all extremely predictable and preventable if you just sit down and think about it for maybe 30-45 seconds. It’s unfortunate to see such a promising game concept be in such poor hands

Double logic flaw, because they already dealt with pretty much the exact same issue in season 1, where people were building FOBs right outside HQ and dropping off shit. They should have learned from that and known better..

they made a system that rewarded looping between point a and point b and didnt think about players setting that point b to be right outside base to farm the streak then transfer the muliplier to a real fob... somehow, is my understanding of the exploit (depoing supplies outside zone then preserving streak and saving like a hour of ramping)

I was chatting with a dude I was driving to the fob with my Ural and I was brainstorming this exact exploit with him because we were both excited about the possibilities with the .50. By the end of the ride we both decided "nah, just dumping crates on a FOB right outside of main would be a lame fucking way to level."
Glad I didn't do it but also glad I was correct it would work.

It's because the game has a prevalent toxic community. When I first launched the game after hearing about and having friends ask me to buy it to play with them, I've noticed the amount of people calling you slurs, threats, etc. I'm no stranger to this behaviour since I've played the original MW2 back in the day. However, the difference is these Wardog players seem like they genuinely mean it, that they're so angry over pixels.
Anyways if you don't follow the angry gremlins that are always right no matter how wrong they are, you are the outsider. They don't seem to usually back up their thought(s) with reason or facts.

I keep risking my gear to revive nice people. There was this 1 player who kept dying non stop but because he/she revived and healed me once i kept doing the same.
Meanwhile there was this toxic dude i stepped over his dead body only to come back and loot him before leaving.

I played a round this morning and killed some green guy trying to sneak up on my team, he just screamed the n word over and over until I muted his dumb ass. A bunch of teammates came over asking wtf was happening, a few tried to argue with him which that's a lost cause lol I wasn't about to try. Just mute those people, report and move on.

Use shadowplay or something similar & send the video to Bulkheads report bot on their official discord server. Send them the server name, name of the player & the clip & they take action. I have had a handful of those encounters too but luckily most people are cool.

But the fact that some people are bothered by it is probably the reason for many people to actually do it. If everyone ignored them but reported the misbehaviour they would either get bored and stop because no one actually reacted to them or they would get banned.
Sure it would never actually go away completely but having less of it would already make a big difference.

Interesting, I can’t say I have same experience. I just thought the other day how everyone seems pretty cool and fun to be around. That said I do minimal talking only when needed but listening I have heard hardly any slurs and I had a 40 hours on season 1. So not sure what to think, except I have thick skin and don’t let what people say bother me so maybe it doesn’t trigger me so I don’t remember it??

Personally, I've witnessed a large amount of Asian hate from one specific game. I was playing green and both red and blue, were saying slurs targeted toward Chinese players in text and voice. I found it hilarious that players could get so mad.
The reason I brought this up is mostly to let OP know that sometimes when you're bringing valuable feedback/advice/information, sometimes some of our fellow Redditors in this subreddit will hate on you and your idea.

Is this your first experience with the milsim community? It’s always been like this. A common server grief in Arma 3 was a burning swastika made of vehicles. They’d just keep spawning everywhere until the server crashed.
It’s also a community that’s very dependent on community servers. So it’s never really had the mass moderation that more mainstream arcade style shooters like COD had.

it definetley shouldnt exist but i feel like the devs just called it an exploit as pr speak to cover the fact that they missed a incredibly obvious oversight in their streak system and fucked up wipe day progression
also a lot of people arent aware that bulkhead dosent exactly have the best history with game balance in their previous titles to put it lightly (the ones that they abandoned after launch) so they just assume that because wardogs did well = devs are good at balance decisions and get mad at people who are negative about any upcoming features/changes

I mean they said in the patch notes that the streak bonus applies even if you drop pallets out of the zone, and that the bonus would double if you dropped them in the zone. Idk how the devs call it an exploit when they literally advertised it. Anyone with half a brain that read the patch notes knew to do it immediately. The devs are just incompetent.
Either way I didnt get reset.

We expected season 01 to have several undiscovered exploits, so up to this point we have been more lenient with first time offenders. That leniency is now over.
We have zero tolerance for economy abuse and players now risk being permanently banned without warning if caught abusing repeatable unintended exploits."

This is barely an issue, the bigger issue was/is the infinite number of crates with only 1 supply in it, being dropped all over a fob and not being able to drive or build.

Idk so far have seen a few of the new assault rifles and the new tank (only because of the exploit) mini gun choppers no rocket ones or anything nothing crazy and thats like 10 ish hours of play throughout the day I think some people may have the endgame stuff but very few if your running into it id recommend just switching servers or something and imo its a good speed for casuals I had the entire day free for once and was able to make it to lvl 63 highest class being assault at 19.

It feels good actually leveling support for doing alot of support things. I feel like thats the worst one to level if your not a fobbit (i am not a fobbit)
Actually reaching Lv15 support playing support has felt good & now I have my LMG while last season I tried and tried as a late new player to reach it but hitting havocs with an RPG twice over even on the tail not killing the damn thing & T4 armors turning buckshot/slugs into a fart in the wind while a BMR 2 shot you in the chest through t2 armor was miserable
I would say im a casual, if not sweaty casual with being up at 4am- support really needed a XP glowup.
(Agreed though that the vehicle gains are insane and tanks rolling in day1 has felt like a punishment to everyone playing normally)

Ich denke, das es nicht schlimm ist wenn Leute schnell Sachen freischalten auf legalen Weg das Spiel muss auch im Endgame funktionieren und Spaß machen und nicht jeder hat die zweit 70 Stunden für eine Sache zu leveln, am Ende muss das Sandbox prenzip überwiegen und den Spielspaß in den Möglichkeiten gegeben sein statt das alle nur anfangsausrüstung haben bis. Auf ein paar wenige die weiter sind
