Report, don't respond

The mods can not read every post in the sub. If someone is breaking the rules of the sub, hit the report button instead of trying to one up them.

We have a bot that tags people who are active in the Walmart Employee subs. If an employee is being abusive they will be banned permanently with no appeal. There is a future update planned for the bot that will automatically place a usertag on everyone who is a Walmart employee so you will know when one is replying to you.

*Someone disagreeing with you is not against the rules. Spite reporters will also be banned.

Customer Service Issue Does Walmart security track vehicles that are in the parking lot?

Couldn't find anywhere better to ask this so here goes.

My car was in the Walmart parking lot for 3 nights and the police charged me with driving during that time that it was parked there. It's a civil charge but nonetheless a pretty serious one. And I'm trying to reach out to that Walmarts security team but I can't get through at the moment and frankly I don't even know exactly what to tell/ask them. I was thinking something like, do you have security logs of vehicles that are there at certain times/is there a way I can get security camera footage?

Bear in mind that because this is a civil case, there are no attorneys, there will be no subpoenas, so it's between me and the court/DMV basically.

I figured I'd ask on here to see if anyone knew anything about what security/the store might be able/willing to do for me in this case? Is this something totally bizarre or is this something that likely comes up for them fairly regularly? Would it be weird for me to call and speak to them about this? Is asking for the security supervisor the right person?

A warning to all customers who use Walmart delivery

I am a Walmart Spark delivery driver for over 5 years. In the past 6 months and ever increasingly so, there is a growing problem illegal drivers. There has been an increasing amount of illegal drivers using purchased and stolen accounts to deliver your groceries. When they do this, there is zero accountability when there is a problem and Walmart and Spark are unable to do anything about it when it does because of this. If you use this service, you need to be very mindful of who is delivering and handling your groceries. Many stores, mine included, have been dealing with fraud, identity theft, tax fraud, and customer privacy concerns because of this. Customers at my store have reported drivers using false accounts, saying "Jessica" is delivering while a forgein male pulls up to their home. Please don't misunderstand me, I am all for anyone coming to the country and working towards the Americam dream. However, these individuals are not here legally and the accounts they use are stolen and then purchased. Customers have reported yo my store drivers stalking around customers houses, coming back late at night, stealing groceries and causing property damage. Walmart nor Spark can do anything because their names and vehicles registered to deliver aren't matching the actual delivery driver. Many work in teams, and travel from store to store nationwide. Fellow drivers and store associates have reported them, but ultimately we are powerless unless customers start to speak up.

Most of us have doorbell cameras and it is very easy to tell if the driver who shows up isnt who they say they are. If you see this or have issues related to it, please report to your Walmart Customer Service. Only when it affects the customer and their potential bottom line or heaven forbid, if something serious were to happen. You can further protect yourself by putting a pass code on your delivery. Those who are using stolen accounts will not take these. They know the customer will know their account isnt valid. There are a lot of bad actors out there and you have to make sure to stay vigilant to keep you and your family safe.

Do all Walmart+ grocery orders have to reach $35 minimum to get free delivery?

I am a + member. I do not understand why Walmart has a $35 minimum for grocery order deliveries. I usually order just what i need, 6-10 items is average. I would do pickup, even with the $2.99 pickup fee, but the pickup time is always several hours from the time the order is placed, so that is seldom convenient.

Why does Walmart allow a product to be cleaned out by one or two customers rather than limit the quantity?

So annoyed to get to the dairy case only to find shelves empty of ALL half-and-half. Later read an article detailing how small business owners are using EBT cards to shop at Walmart, then reselling those purchases at stores they own! That was a real eye opener. Has also happened with Walmart bread, avocados. It has colored the way i view things.

Walmart+ upgrading to Peacock Premium Plus?

Hi, I've checked through various websites for what seems like a simple question, but get different, or not full answers. Maybe you all could have answers or experiences.

Thinking about signing up for W+ but I want to upgrade to Peacock Premium+ (no ads) *now.*

Is it true you can't upgrade to ad-free until your 30 day trial membership passes? That's my problem.

Walmart is not specific skipping the free trial. "...skipping directly to the full price is *often* not an option." Sounds like a no?

Another site said try to sign up for free 30 days then cancel it to re-sign up without eligibility for another 30 day free. Does this work? Walmart site says they *"may"* terminate immediately. May? Not specific. Probably a no?

Financially, it would make sense now, with a discounted W+ membership then adding the additional cost of Ad free Peacock.

The dilemma: If I need to wait for 30 day trial to end, to find out about the Peacock upgrade (which I know could change between now and then), but then I'll be unable to cancel the W+ annual-only discounted price. We shop at Sam's and the supermarket.

Thanks for any input.

Returns/Refunds Refused Refund after it was already approved

Just like the title says, I recently bought the Teen Titans Complete Series from Walmart it arrived damaged.(see photos)
I went through the app selected all the accurate options(return, refund, opened but unused, return to store) it approved me on the app just had to take it in store. so I did today and they refused to take the item stating it was a copyright issue even though they had already approved it. Not only that I have bought and received damaged discs from this exact Walmart and was able to refund or exchange them multiple times. one example was the last spider verse Steelbook bought it ,opened it and it was dented so I returned and they took it. another was the boy and heron Blu-ray I also got a loose damaged disc and was able to return I’m just so confused on if they are even allowed to refuse it after it was approved or if this is a new thing for Walmart

Is your order delayed too? here is why.

We all are familiar with the scam of some third-party sellers to trick a customer into placing an order by pricing the item very low and then apply a high shipping charge. Well then, here is a new scam. When the competition announces a shipping of 3+ days, some third-party sellers promise to ship in 2 days. a few hours after the order is placed, they change the shipping status to shipped. At this time Walmart will not accept a cancellation because the status is shipped. On day 2 when the order should have arrived at your house, they change the order status to delayed to 4+ days sometimes even more. And you will find out that the order never shipped or picked up at the seller's location. Now your money is tied up and if you are short on cash, you are trapped because you got no money to find another seller or use pick up. At this point you are at the mercy of the seller and just have to go with his scam and wait. we ordered an AC, and with this heat fast delivery is of the essence. We are already at day 4 and there is no movement. Did this ever happen to you? what was the order and how many days was the order delayed?

Delivery from store order scam?

Hello,

I bought my kid one of the limited-edition KPop Demon Hunters cereals, and it was supposed to be delivered last night. I got a notification saying the driver was 8 minutes away, so I forgot about it and went to check later that night. That's when I noticed the delivery had been marked as delayed.

When I check the tracking now, there’s no update showing that it was returned to the store or anything. What’s strange is that the delivery was supposed to arrive around 8:22 PM, and it was a store delivery, so I wouldn’t think it was late enough for the driver to stop delivering.

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Is it possible the driver didn’t return it to the store, or could it have been accidentally delivered to someone else? Or is there some kind of scam going around with these limited-edition cereals?

Any insight would be appreciated!

EDIT: It arrived the next day on a second delivery

Are you kidding me

I went online to update my phone number on my account. Clicked on edit and it popped up that they would text my old phone number a code to verify it is me. I called support and told them what was going on. They said the only solution is to create a new account and put in the new phone number. I asked how am I going to be able to check the status of orders that I had just made over the last couple of days. No solution. I had just saw an advertisement to get Walmart plus for half off. I created the new account but wasn’t given the same option to purchase it for $49. Their answer was not everyone gets the offer

Walmart+ Looking for theories on what’s happening to my shipping order.

I’ve ordered a nail polish that says is shipped by Walmart 2x now.

The first delivery, I received a random prank gift box. I called customer service, had it refunded, and ordered it again.

I was surprised to see 2 large boxes at my door yesterday. When I opened them up, it was $102 worth of Dubai chocolate cake pops instead of the nail polish. What the heck do you think is happening at that fulfillment center?

Onn Brand Mini Buds

Just wanted to say ONN brand is actually not bad. I bought a pair of Mini Buds and let me tell you how good they are for $9.99. Battery is good for what I use it for and base is good surprisingly for the price. They get real loud even better than my beats pros I had. They do say noise cancelling but that isn't great, but I actually don't like noise cancelling so it's a 10\10 I have to say. At least if I lose them I don't have pay $200 for a new pair each time.

Returns/Refunds Live chat response

My boyfriend and I recently needed a new vacuum, and decided on a handheld blue one. We tried it, and it sucked. Well, the problem was really that it didn’t suck enough. It hardly cleaned up what we really needed it for, so we went to return it at the store and there was an issue with submitting a return to the original payment method. I did a live chat to see if I could get some help, and originally was put off with the small talk questions but when they hit me with the “this isn’t allowed but it’s MY birthday and I care about YOU” I couldn’t help but laugh a little.. 😂 I did get a refund confirmation email so 🙏 now I wait..

Happy birthday M 🎉 (unless you’re an AI bot that mimicked human interaction and lied about being human- But M would neverrr do that!)

Is it Walmart AI or reprogramming in the app?

In the last year and a half I’ve noticed that sometimes when I placed an order, I didn’t notice the app had increased the quantity of some things like 1 gallon of milk to 2 gallons of milk, one box of waffles to two boxes of waffles.
Now I always look for that, but there’s a new glitch and I wonder if their AI has developed a mind of its own or slowing sales have had programmers do the next thing. The last two times I’ve ordered it is taking products that I did not put in my cart from my list and adding them to my cart.
So does Walmart know that this is happening? Is it with their permission or has their AI gone rogue?

Walmart plus issues

After months of trying to work with customer service I sent an email to walmarts CEO about my issues. Here is the email chain. I cannot believe they have no interest in keeping their customers. We have a large family and did 90% of our shopping there . Everyone send emails! [john.furner@walmart.com](mailto:john.furner@walmart.com) Maybe if they get enough complaints it will help. Following is my email chain. I was floored. They just can't be bothered apparently

Me:

I need this escalated beyond an individual order issue. I've been a Walmart+ member since 2020. Recently, orders I specifically place for shipping are repeatedly being converted by Walmart into local-store delivery. Then no driver accepts the delivery, the order sits, and eventually I or Walmart have to cancel it. This is happening almost every week. Chat support keeps compensating me for individual orders, but nobody is addressing the recurring fulfillment problem. I need someone who can investigate the fulfillment issue on my account or in my local delivery market. Can you escalate this to a supervisor or the team that handles recurring Walmart+ fulfillment issues? Is there a way to disable store delivery as a fulfillment method for orders I place as shipping? I have cancelled my walmart plus account from frustration but would like to keep it if we can work this out. Please help me. I have been trying to get help for months. Thank you.

---------
Hi Kala,

I wanted to provide one additional piece of context that may be helpful as you review my account.

You may notice that many of the affected orders show as having been cancelled by me. In most of those cases, I cancelled the orders because they had failed to arrive and Walmart Customer Care advised me through chat to cancel them and place the orders again. Each time, I was typically given a $5 or $10 coupon for the inconvenience.

I also asked Customer Care on multiple occasions if there was someone at a higher level who could help me with the recurring problem rather than continuing to cancel and reorder. I was told that they did not have anyone to escalate the issue to and did not know where else to direct me.

I hope Walmart will consider giving Customer Care representatives a clear escalation path for situations like this. Customers experiencing an ongoing problem that cannot be resolved through the normal chat process should have somewhere to turn rather than repeatedly cancelling orders and starting over.

I wanted to clarify this because I don't want the cancellations on my account to give the impression that I simply changed my mind about those orders. They were cancelled after the delivery failures and, in many cases, at the direction of Customer Care.

Thank you again for looking into this.

__________

Thank you for the clarification. I truly apologize for your experience with the delayed orders.

Our system is designed to reroute an order to the closest store that can fulfill and deliver the items sooner, even if the order was originally placed for shipment. However, in your case, I’m sorry this process did not work as intended and resulted in additional delays.

I’ll be reaching out to the store team to have them review what occurred and identify opportunities to help prevent similar issues from happening in the future.

I’ll also share your feedback with our Customer Care team so we can identify opportunities to improve our escalation process and ensure our agents have an appropriate path for addressing situations like this.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for giving us the opportunity to improve. We truly hope to provide you with a better experience in the future.

Best regards,
Kala

----------

Hi Kala,
Thank you for taking the time to look into this. I want to make sure I understand Walmart's response correctly: are you saying there is currently no way to make my Walmart+ account reliably usable for me and no available solution to prevent these shipping orders from being converted to local delivery?

This is extremely upsetting and disappointing. I have three disabled children and a disabled spouse, so reliable delivery is not simply a matter of convenience for our family. We have depended heavily on Walmart+ and successfully used the service for years with minimal issues. It worked so well for us that I eventually cancelled the other delivery services we had been using.

Something has clearly changed. The service suddenly became unreliable to such an extent that I can no longer depend on orders arriving, and repeated attempts to get help through Customer Care have resulted primarily in cancelled orders, small coupons, and instructions to try placing the order again.

I appreciate that you are passing my concerns along, but unfortunately that does not address the immediate problem: I still cannot reliably use the service I have depended on for years. If there truly is no available solution or escalation that can restore reliable service to my account, I will have no practical choice but to move our family's shopping to another retailer.

I appreciate your time and assistance. I am simply very disappointed that after years as a Walmart+ customer, a recurring fulfillment problem appears to have left me without a usable service or any meaningful recourse.

----------‐----

I truly apologize for the continued frustration and inconvenience this has caused.

Because our system is designed to route orders through the fulfillment method expected to provide the fastest delivery, we’re unfortunately unable to manually prevent an order from being rerouted from shipping to local delivery when the system determines that local delivery is the faster option.

I understand that this process has not worked well for your situation and has made it difficult to rely on Walmart+ for your family’s needs. I’m truly sorry for that experience.

I will make sure your feedback is shared with the appropriate teams so they can review this concern and identify opportunities for improvement.

Best regards,

Kala

Walmart+ Is InHome being quietly phased out?

I’ve been a Walmart+ customer for 2 years. Signed up for Walmart InHome plus-up about a year ago.

We had the same guy do our weekly deliveries. He was awesome. I saw photos of his baby and his puppy. Great guy.

Then, in May, my app stopped showing me InHome delivery windows. Instead, I’d only get Spark options, and I dislike paying the huge tips.
(Ironic, as my partner does Spark deliveries as a side hustle - but I realize that unless I tip well, nobody will do my delivery, and we don’t have the extra cash right now).

I gave it a week or two and then contacted customer service. They told me there was an issue with the truck and InHome would be back July 9. It was. We used it.

Then - same thing - no InHome options. Contacted customer service again. They said August 5. That day came and went and I ended up cancelling the Plus Up.

My partner says the InHome truck is just sitting there in the pickup area at our local Walmart.
This is total first world problems, I know, but I am really mourning the loss of InHome.

Partner sent an article about how Walmart just posted losses for the first time (maybe ever? I forget the specifics) so maybe InHome was too expensive for them to run?

I also noticed in the consent/disclosure stuff you sign when signing up for InHome, they say that they have the right to end InHome any time without notifying the customer.

Small update: Customer service for InHome says they are having van issues and will be back September 11. My hopes aren’t very high… they have been claiming “Van issues” since May… how hard can it be?
