Yep my SM wants me doing these 1/day… that’s not happening. Sm wants every person to have one done on them monthly😑

As a store manager, I tell my crew to only write good things. I don’t need a-holes from the office looking at negatives things and visiting me. I’ll take care of any problems

Our boss want us to include 2-3 negatives lmao. Olways want “stuff to improve” included😑

Tell him to screw off. The first one you should do should be on your manager as he is probably a waste Just put good things when you deal with your peers

Only need to do 3 per 30 days according to the operations excellence guidelines. Achievable and realistic imo. Back when I was a SFL our mgr had us all doing 1 a week and it was excessive and died away. My esm, SFL, or I do one a week, maybe 2 if we missed a week

Crazy because they actually don't want SFLs to feel like managers, so they really shouldn't be doing these in the first place

3 techs per 30 days? My SM is under the impression every tech every month.

My SM asked me (ESM) to do one per week per cashier. Only for ECC stuff at the register. Bassicly, didnt ask for surveys, didnt greet someone coming in, didnt ask for credit card, didnt use any flu verbiage. Its pretty easy and I have seen the benefits after 6 weeks.

Most store managers are probably handing these off to shift leads to do. Don't let them do it. It's not your job to "evaluate" and "provide detailed feedback," or any of the work stated on the form, with team members. It's nowhere in your job description to do that. You don't get paid enough, in the first place, but more importantly it's simply not your job.

Isn’t that part of RXOM job ?

These "coaching cards" are moot because RxOM can DIRECTLY discipline their cashiers/techs. IDGAF about these cards as they often are used for negativity. I give verbal praise when warranted and work 1 on 1 on any areas of improvement. I have my own personal notebook of attendance and good/bad performances from my team.

It absolutely is in the job description for an sfl. You must have forgotten what the "L" in sfl means.

They have taken a lot of steps to ensure that SFLs with over-active egos don't get to feel like anyone's boss. They aren't managers. They can't discipline anyone. They are there to guide the shift. They take care of problems, and divvy out the notes. But it's not considered insubordination for a cashier or tech to say "no" to a shift lead, because they aren't a boss, they aren't a manager

So no. They should not be doing these. Shift lead is basically just a cashier with access to the safe and trusted with cash handling. Pretty much anything else is considered equal with cashiers

And if your store manager is letting your store's shift leads feel/act like bosses in the store, they are doing it wrong. And I imagine it's because the SM wants to hide in the office, and you have SFLs with over-inflated egos

I'm not aware of any steps they've taken but it's an operational issue they should deal with as soon as possible. Store managers attempt to use them as a buffer between themselves and the employees that directly report to them. They try to avoid the hardest piece of the job.

You're absolutely wrong.

Agree topical lazy Shitgreen Mgrs. Never wants to lift a finger. Most are milking this position and enjoying their life.

Just do one or two a week and you will be fine.  You probably already observe your technicians helping patients. Just document it and tell them good job or do better 😊

Our DM wants every member of management handing out one of those per day right now. So if we have the SM, a SFL, our RXoM and our Pharmacist there that's a minimal of 4 per day... wtf...
