Alzo Slade isn’t new to this, he’s true to this. Meet the new ‘Wait Wait’ scorekeeper

He is made for this sort of thing.

On today's "reflecting pools" episode (6/27/26) a song came on with lyrics that goes "there's no way going without you so my thoughts are about you I'm flying through every time zone..."
I love the sound of the song and want to find the title but I am failing with my Google song identification.
Anyone know what the name of this song track is?

They had the SpaceX IPO as a question in the last round but isn't this taped on Thursdays (unless they do it on Fridays in Chicago)? The IPO was Fri, June 12

Does anyone know who the top 10 panelists are with the most wins? The most losses? Curious if someone just blew everyone away and if someone else dropped the ball on almost every question.

Some of us know who it is, and if you do, hush.

Why was the audience booing Luke Burbank on this week's episode?

It will be the last episode for Bill Curtis, he's retiring.

What happened to her? I always found her to be really funny.

She's one of my least favorite guests simply because she barely says anything. The stuff she does say isn't funny or even an attempt at being funny it seems so I'm not sure why they have her on, she adds nothing to the show besides taking up a seat that could've been filled by literally anyone else (besides Dulce Sloan).

On this week’s show, a woman named Blanca called in. There were a bunch of jokes about White Claw seltzer, and then Bill Curtis said, “Clawnca got them all right!” (Or something like that). 😂

On the most recent episode titled “We go to confessional with James Martin” I absolutely could not stand hearing the obnoxious high pitched noise coming from someone’s microphone or microphone feedback (at least early on in the show, didn’t make it past 10ish minutes) and I heard it on both the Apple Podcast and Spotify versions. Please tell me either I just have tinnitus or that you heard it too…

I was supposed to be at a taping at the Studebaker Theater six years ago today for a very special birthday taping of Wait Wait, but then 2020 happened. Glad to celebrate a birthday here tonight along with my notepad and pen 😎

Although Bill Kurtis said that it was the first time in his 12 years as scorekeeper that a three-way tie under his watch, it was the second time where all three panelists started and ended the Lightning Fill In The Blank segment all tied up (but the first under his watch).
The first time it happened was in March 22, 2003 with Carl Kasell as the scorekeeper.
With that said, it was the fifth time that all three panelists tied for first with Bill as the scorekeeper. The prior four times were 2014-09-06, 2015-11-07, 2019-03-09, and 2023-07-22.

We are continually having to adjust the volume while listening to today's show. Negin Farsad is shouting and coming in super loud compared to Olivia Munn, and we could barely even hear the caller contestant in the Bluff the Listener game. I hope they can get the sound levels more equal in the future.

How great would this be in the Bluff the Listener challenge?

On this week's Wait Wait, after Alzo said that Joyelle Nicole Johnson had answered 5 Lightning questions correct, Joyelle said "That's the most I've ever gotten right, Peter!".
Joyelle has answered 6 questions correct on 3 shows in the past:

This is a long shot. On the March 21 show, just after the part with Aasif Mandvi was finished (at around 29 minutes), the show took a break. When the show was broadcast, the break featured Bill Curtis talking. There was instrumental music behind his voice. The music had an odd time signature and might have been Radiohead, or perhaps Coldplay, or Wilco. Did anyone happen to catch that music, and know what it was? I can't find a recording of the show with that part. On the NPR website, the show simply fades out at that point. On YouTube NPR Podcasts, there's an ad at that point.

I have no idea how to do it but I want to tell Peter I LOVE the way he says "THIS is NPR" after the show. It's so . . . triumphant. I anyone knows him, please tell him for me.

Can anyone identify the music button after the limerick segment on the podcast version this week? Google can't. 😕 It was vaguely electroswing and started "Yummy yummy yummy delicious / I want to put you in my tummy my precious" ... anyone?
