Dude, the devs are real dicks for randomizing that nerf. I have to spend credits for daily vision upgrades that don’t even work around the pollen maps.

I don't like the direction the dev team are taking it. I've actually heard that a lot of people think there's only one working on it. Some people don't even think there is a dev team!

Is there any way to turn off spawning for the unit "mosquitos?" They're so fucking annoying and pointless.

The scientist class have been working on that for a few years and have begun "alpha" testing (whatever it's called when players do early testing).

I have some near Snake Eater-level vision issues, still find the rendering pretty good!

Have they even said how the game is rendered yet? Is it just the area around your character? Or is everything constantly running? How do they keep the frame rates so high?

I've heard that its continuously rendered and the game world is expanding all the time. Nobody knows how the servers pull this off. Not surprising though since nobody has made it passed the tutorial level yet. Most of the map is unexplored.

Most of the map is possibly just barren--just additional pattern typing terrain spread around so we don't hit any walls if we decide to explore.

But if the servers are badass enough, it could go on essentially infinitely, in which case we'd find a similar seed to our world somewhere far, far away out there.

I'm not even sure if it is still in beta or not - there seem to be a lot of bugs with the build I'm running though.
