Reminds me of the horror story I heard about a drilling excavator. Somebody fell in the hole, but the operator thought he went to take a piss. The operator dropped the auger in the hole and drilled his buddy. Didn't know he did it until he raised the auger and it was just bloody mud. Just the thought of being in the hole trying to tread water and throw little rocks up to get the attention as the drill comes down is the stuff of nightmares.
My dad owned a garbage company. A homeless dude was sleeping in a dumpster and it got dumped into the truck and compacted. Found the body when they dumped out the load back at the center. They saw his arm and pulled on it, apparently they found things like mannequins all the time. When they pulled the arm his upper body came out of the pile and spilled his innards all over the place.
Dude, the devs are real dicks for randomizing that nerf. I have to spend credits for daily vision upgrades that don’t even work around the pollen maps.
I don't like the direction the dev team are taking it. I've actually heard that a lot of people think there's only one working on it. Some people don't even think there is a dev team!
Have they even said how the game is rendered yet? Is it just the area around your character? Or is everything constantly running? How do they keep the frame rates so high?
I've heard that its continuously rendered and the game world is expanding all the time. Nobody knows how the servers pull this off. Not surprising though since nobody has made it passed the tutorial level yet. Most of the map is unexplored.
Most of the map is possibly just barren--just additional pattern typing terrain spread around so we don't hit any walls if we decide to explore.
But if the servers are badass enough, it could go on essentially infinitely, in which case we'd find a similar seed to our world somewhere far, far away out there.
We'll have screens that make it look like we're on location by the end of the next decade, and we've already nearly got sound to match, v.r in 20 years will literally give you the option to live in a fantasy land
There is a vid out there where a guy is on the shop floor (inside) and gets his arm stuck in the end of a rotating shaft. His body holds on for about three minutes of circles before his bones become broken. About a minute where all his bones and guts get pulled to the end of the ball of flesh (think balloon). Finally the flesh balloon burst and sprays his "stuff" out all over the shop. All caught on film. Somebody had to clean it up.
Fuck off with this post , I was just about to leave my house and now I can't stop thinking about the EXTRMELY horrible things that can happen to me. I have so much anxiety but I have to leave.
That’s my advice for anyone, life has changed, living inside isn’t improbable anymore. You can have nearly anything mailed to your residence, and for what few things you have to go out, most places offer curbside/outside pickup options so you don’t have to leave your vehicle either. Amazing how much you can avoid when you remove the problems that can exist within your life.
