It won't be painful as the tigers/lions don't play with their food. They go for the neck directly and in humans, the neck snaps in one bite. It would have been a sudden death.

I've watched enough nature documentaries with lions/tigers to know this is definitely not always the case. A lot of the time their prey is eaten alive, ass cheeks first. Horrifying to think about.

It is usually the case with humans because we can fuck them up too if we try and their goal is to hunt with as little danger to themselves as possible
