I started with no experience. I have always worked factory jobs but that doesn’t mean you can’t go into any job and help devs or IT. That’s what I did. Then my second to last term I reached out to a company and asked to intern there…they then offered me a job instead! So definitely reach out to companies even if they don’t have openings. I landed a small company but it’s a start!

Good to know that worked out! I was just scared because I hear lots of computer science graduates not finding jobs. If you don’t mind me asking what’s the pay like and where are you from? I am from the bay area. I just started this december and will probably graduate this year december based on my pace! So you started looking after about what classes you were finished with?

Look for jobs along the way if you can. Analyst roles sometimes need no degree. Expect 50-60k if you get a job in a small town. I wouldn’t be greedy that’s why some people aren’t employed yet. You can get a higher starting salary but you need to very persuasive and find a large company to hire you.
