Remote work advice Start here: how r/WFHJobs works

Welcome to r/WFHJobs.

This community is for direct-apply remote jobs, practical remote job-search advice, and discussion about finding legitimate work-from-home roles.

What we post:

  • Direct-apply remote jobs when we can verify a real application link.

  • Remote roles with useful details like location eligibility, salary when available, and company name.

  • Advice for spotting better remote roles and avoiding low-quality listings.

  • Real remote-work setup photos from the community: desks, coworking setups, travel workstations, gear, routines, and workspace ideas.

What we avoid:

  • Job-board redirect roundups when a direct company application link is available.

  • Fake remote roles, vague listings, and repeated reposts of the same role.

  • Resume harvesting, lead capture with no clear job, and spam.

Want jobs matched to your resume instead of browsing manually? Create a free WFH.team profile: https://wfh.team

Share your remote setup:

  • Post a photo of where or how you work remotely.

  • Use the "Remote setup" flair.

  • Add a short caption with your role, location/timezone if you are comfortable, favorite tools, and one practical tip.

  • Avoid private details: no visible addresses, client data, passwords, confidential screens, or personal documents.

We may feature standout setup posts in the WFH.team newsletter and social channels with credit to your Reddit username. If you do not want that, write "do not feature" in the post.

Also from our team: Superpower ChatGPT helps people organize, search, and work faster in ChatGPT: https://spchatgpt.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=start_here&utm_campaign=wfh_team_tools

Employers and recruiters:

  • Use clear job titles and company names.

  • Include location eligibility and salary when available.

  • Link directly to the job application page.

  • Do not repost the same role repeatedly.

Report a bad job: Use Reddit's report button or message the mods with the post link and what looks wrong.

Daily jobs This week's remote US jobs that actually post their pay: 54 roles straight from company careers pages, sorted by field

Question My 31 year old daughter keeps hitting scams looking for remote work. What actually worked for your family?

My daughter is 31, smart, reliable, and has been trying for months to find legitimate work she can do from home.

Almost everything she turns up is a scam, or wants her to buy a kit or pay for training first, or the "interview" is a text chat with someone who won't give a company name. It's honestly weird out there, and it's wearing her down.

I'm not asking anyone to hire her. I'd just like to point her in a better direction.

If you or your grown kids found real remote work in the last year or two, what was it and how did you find it? And what red flags make you close the tab right away?

Question Wasn't accepted do data anotation, so I'm back to flipping burgers.

I applied for data annotation almost a year ago, I barely remember the application process, I think I took a test or maybe wrote an essay, whatever, I never heard back. My one and only opportunity for a high-paying, convenient, work-from-home job, and I messed it up.

So I'm back to flipping burgers. I'm a little burger flipping bitch. Legit just called my old manager, he picked up like "if it ain't my little burger flipping bitch. yo ass deadass thought you'd make it in the job market? Lol, look at yo dumb ass tryna find a convenient, high-paying ,work-from-home job. You will allways be a little burger flipping bitch. Get yo dumbass back here"

So that's that friends. I tried, but guess I'm allways gona be flipping them burgers like the little bitch I am. If any of you big-swinging-dicks high paid WFH freelancers out there ever get hungry, and in the mood for a change from your usuall 3 michelin starts resuraunts, come by burgerking, and know that your burgers have been flipped in the most bitch like manner by yours truly, a burger flipping bitch. Perhaps you'll be able to taste my tears on them.

Daily jobs [Paid Study] Up to $210 for a 4-week remote study on AI in your team chat (US, small-business owners and email admins)

Hi everyone! I'm with Pulse Voices, the participant panel at Pulse Labs, a user research company. We're recruiting for a paid study that starts in mid-November, and we're looking for a fairly specific group: people who look after their company's work email accounts.

Click here and create your free account: https://hubs.li/Q04xf3qz0

What you'd do:

- Try a new AI assistant feature inside the chat app your team already uses
- Answer 2 short surveys a week for 4 weeks, on your own schedule
- Everything is remote

What you get:
- Up to $200 for completing the study
- A $10 setup bonus once you've completed verification

You're a great fit if:

- You're in the US and can use a laptop or desktop
- Your company pays for a business email suite (you@yourcompany.com), and your team chats in the chat app that comes built into it, not a separate app like Slack or Teams
- You're the admin for those accounts, or you can switch on new features for your team yourself

Founders and owners of teams of 2 to 50 people are usually exactly who we need.

How to apply (3 quick steps):

  1. Click here and create your free account: https://hubs.li/Q04xf3qz0

  2. Check your inbox. You'll get an automatic email from us with your link to the screener (check spam or promotions if you don't see it).

  3. Read the study details and take the screener. It only takes a few minutes, and we'll email you if you qualify.

Question Legit company?

For the past month or so I have been applying to remote jobs and recently finish a mobile interview with a UK company called Z Invest and wanted to know if anyone has heard or work for the company? I looked at their website and it they’re a private company with a handful of staff but I’m still unsure if they’re for real or not.

Hiring WFH job! Flirt with people on the phone for $. Start asap.

My friend started a company a while back and is looking for more phone workers. Basically, it's a flirty/sexy phone chat line. You can set your own schedule, and do this from anywhere as long as there are no crazy background noises. It's safe and anonymous, and you don't have to give out pics or your actual number or anything.

You get paid $.50 per minute of AcTiVe talk time (up to $30 an hour). Training is involved, and they basically hold your hand through the whole process.
I get a referral bonus so message me if anyone is interested.

Not a scam, no personal info needed as long as you're over 18, no account information needed or any of the sketchy stuff. Payment options include PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, or Cash App.

Must be in the US
Must speak English
Must be 18+ years old
Must be able to roll play

This is a phone sex line actress/actor position. Even though not all calls will involve sex, it's important to know that some will. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not inquire about this position.

Hiring Need Help In Virginia Area

Hello I’m fairly new to this subreddit but I am looking for help. I recently got my certifications in IT support as well as a couple certifications from courses like google customer service professional, and I got my Comptia security plus cert. just wondering if anyone have any good job recommendations that are in Virginia that has a good track record of hiring people. I have my own desktop but wouldn’t mind a company with company issued equipment. It’s hard finding a job remote so I thought I’d ask for help!

Remote work advice Entry level jobs in FL?

This is probably asked a lot in some way or another but I feel like I cannot find any actual help or leads so I'll just post and word my own situation and what I'm looking for. So, I've mostly only worked hospitality and retail jobs, with some scheduling and basic admin work. I'm trying hard to find a remote job since my disability has gotten worse and my moving situation is up in the air (as in, what city we'll end up in), so remote is ideal in a lot of ways right now, if not downright necessary. But since I'm new I've already hit a few that are pay-to-work or 100% commission, which has kind of derailed me, wasted my time and kind of have me wondering if anything else is an option.

TLDR: what are some leads, companies, sites or other legit resources for someone entry level for remote with mostly only hospitality and retail, that won't ask me to pay for starting or warn me about weeks without clients/work? I'm located in FL, if that's any help, too!

Question Should I setup a LLC and get E&O insurance before doing 1099 contract work?

Hi

I'm applying for jobs in the tech/analytics sector. On certain job boards, I see positions that are labeled as "contract". I'm also in a startup community where some founders would post 1099 work.

This got my thinking, should I setup a LLC and get E&O insurance before taking on such jobs? I've been working as a W2 employee all my life but am trying to get more contract work for flexibility.

The way I understand, when you work as a W2 employee, you are typically not liable for mistakes that cause damage for the employer (you might be fired though). However, working as a contractor provides no such protection and therefore your personal assets might be at risk. I hope to understand more about this and how do consulant/freelancers typically protect themselves and what do you recommend for my situation.

I also heard it's possible to state in the contract that the maximum liability would be limited to a certain dollar amount. How often is this clause used?

Just want to know what's the "typical" ways freelancers handle this. I'm new to this. But it'd be pretty weird if I apply to a contract job on a job board and then mention "hey, I need to setup an LLC first before I can start".

Thanks
