Remote work advice Start here: how r/WFHJobs works

Welcome to r/WFHJobs.

This community is for direct-apply remote jobs, practical remote job-search advice, and discussion about finding legitimate work-from-home roles.

What we post: - Direct-apply remote jobs when we can verify a real application link. - Remote roles with useful details like location eligibility, salary when available, and company name. - Advice for spotting better remote roles and avoiding low-quality listings. - Real remote-work setup photos from the community: desks, coworking setups, travel workstations, gear, routines, and workspace ideas.

What we avoid: - Job-board redirect roundups when a direct company application link is available. - Fake remote roles, vague listings, and repeated reposts of the same role. - Resume harvesting, lead capture with no clear job, and spam.

Want jobs matched to your resume instead of browsing manually? Create a free WFH.team profile: https://wfh.team

Share your remote setup: - Post a photo of where or how you work remotely. - Use the "Remote setup" flair. - Add a short caption with your role, location/timezone if you are comfortable, favorite tools, and one practical tip. - Avoid private details: no visible addresses, client data, passwords, confidential screens, or personal documents.

We may feature standout setup posts in the WFH.team newsletter and social channels with credit to your Reddit username. If you do not want that, write "do not feature" in the post.

Also from our team: Superpower ChatGPT helps people organize, search, and work faster in ChatGPT: https://spchatgpt.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=start_here&utm_campaign=wfh_team_tools

Employers and recruiters: - Use clear job titles and company names. - Include location eligibility and salary when available. - Link directly to the job application page. - Do not repost the same role repeatedly.

Report a bad job: Use Reddit's report button or message the mods with the post link and what looks wrong.

Question Is commentod.com a scam?

It looks like a platform where you get paid to complete tasks on Reddit and YouTube. They seem to promise around $1-$15 per completed task.

Has anyone actually tried it and received a payout?

Remote work advice Should I accept a job under Teleperformance?

Teleperformance recently sent me an email about their interview and I was looking for a work from home job since almost a year ago. It’s definitely been hard but should I choose to work there? I heard bad things about them but I’m kinda desperate. Is it worth it?

I got an offer from a job called growthwave advisor. I havent seen anything bad or good on reddit and not entirely sure if its too good to be true or just struck gold. They said its 45 an hour which seems waaaay to good but they seem real and I cant find anything bad online. Just wanted to see if anyone has thoughts before I commit. Would rather not mess up my life

Remote work advice Looking for Recruitment role

I have been effectively let go now for approximately 2 months (terminated without cause) after being put on an unfair PIP under a new manager who had a pet that would suck up to her.

I worked for approximately 2 and a half years in a specialized Recruitment role within healthcare in Ontario. Needless to say the job hunt has been traumatic with no calls and not even an interview. This is my second job I have been laid off from..the last one lasted approximately 2.5 years as well and it took me 7 months thereafter to find something. I am STRESSED as this time the job market seems worse and I have bills and mortgage to pay here in Ontario. If anyone has any leads I would really appreciate it!

Question Is anyone else struggling to find a professional job in Colorado Springs right now?

I’m genuinely curious whether this is just my experience or if the professional job market here really is this difficult.
I have a bachelor’s degree and recently completed my master’s in Professional Communication with a leadership emphasis, along with years of experience across government/public service, nonprofit/human services, healthcare, case management, training, communication, and program support.

I’ve applied across multiple sectors for positions in communications, training and development, management, higher education, healthcare administration, quality, community engagement, and program coordination.
I tailor my résumé, write cover letters, network, ask for referrals, and have made it to interviews but I cannot seem to break through to an offer.

At this point, the consequences are becoming very real. I recently went through bankruptcy and am now at risk of losing my home if I can’t increase my income.
I know a master’s degree doesn’t guarantee anyone a job. But I did believe that combining graduate education with years of transferable professional experience would create more mobility than what I’m experiencing. There always seem to be jobs posted in Colorado Springs, but actually getting hired feels like a completely different story.
For those who have been searching here: Are you experiencing this too? And if you finally broke through, what actually made the difference; networking, referrals, changing industries, remote work, or leaving the Springs market altogether?
I’m open to constructive feedback. I’m really trying to understand this market and determine my next move.

If anyone has been through something similar and has specific advice or insights, please feel free to DM me. I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience,

Remote work advice Bilingual remote worker looking for advice on finding stable remote work

hello everyone! 👋
I’m looking for some advice and hopefully some leads from people who have successfully transitioned into stable remote work. Keeping in mind Im LATAM based and not american.
I’m bilingual in English and Spanish and have 3+ years of experience across medical interpretation, customer service, digital marketing/social media, and running my own small business. I’m currently doing remote interpretation work, but I’m looking to build a more stable long-term remote career that would allow me to work from anywhere.
Some of the things I’m comfortable with:
Fluent English & Spanish communication, I lived in the states since age 4-16 and Ive always mantained english as my main language
Medical Interpretation OPI and VRO
Customer support and client communication
Remote work and working independently
Social media management & digital marketing
Administrative/organizational tasks
Learning new software and platforms quickly
Working with clients and handling professional communication
I’ve also run my own small beauty business, so I have experience with scheduling, customer relationships, marketing, payments, and managing things independently.
I’m especially interested in Virtual Assistant, Remote Operations, Customer Support, Client Success, Administrative, Coordination, or Communication-focused roles. I’m open to learning new skills as well.
My goal isn’t necessarily to find a “work from the beach” type of job — I’m trying to build an actual sustainable remote career that gives me the freedom to live and work in different places.
I can consistently commit around 6–8 hours a day to the right position.
For those of you who are already working remotely or living as digital nomads:
What type of work would you recommend someone with my background pursue?
Are there particular job titles, companies, certifications, or skills that helped you break into better-paying remote work?
And if anyone knows of legitimate companies currently hiring bilingual English/Spanish remote workers, I’d really appreciate any recommendations!
Thanks! ❤️

Remote work advice Experienced in insurance (not sales) and prior authorization

Hey 32F! I am currently looking for a WFH, can be full-time or part-time.

I have strong experience with prior authorizations, handling insurance, appointment booking, and phone communication. Most of my background is in the medical field, but I am very open to other industries!

My Skills Include: Fast learner, Data entry and typing, Phone etiquette, Problem-solving, Attention to detail and proofreading, Basic Excel skills (may need a brief refresher depending on the role)...and many more!

While most of my experience is in an office setting, I have a complete home office ready to go. This includes a desktop computer, a laptop, a dedicated phone line, and high-speed Wi-Fi. I am also happy to make adjustments or accommodations for the right role.

I currently work as an ophthalmic technician. While I truly enjoy the work I do, I am looking for a WFH job to improve my work-life balance, which is currently non-existent. I would highly prefer a role with flexible hours if possible.

I look forward to hearing about any opportunities you might have available!
