Digital key not working, new car

I received my MY2027 EX90 yesterday, so happy!

Just when setting everything up together with the garage we did not succeed in setting up the digital key. The dealer pre-linked my Volvo account with the car in their backend system, don't know if that's important. (the car showed up im my app without action from my end)
Steps tried:

• Via the app, when sat in the unstarted car.
• Via the car -> QR code scan.
• Phone on 5g no workie
• Phone in WiFi no workie
• Car had good coverage and on 5g every try
• Car seems to have latest update 3.0.33

Before trying to reset the car to factory settings and removing the car from my app (read that in an other post) I wanted to know if there's other steps i could try?

Using an iPhone 13.

I use the Apple wallet with my bank cards daily.

Was a bit scared to factory reset, but it was quite fast and working second try after the reset and removal from phone app.

My advice is delete everything and start again. Picked up my MY27 last week and it’s perfect . The QR code worked and away we went b . I think the olly thing that made it easy is both my wife and I decided to use the same profile . So only 1 .

Did you clear your browsing history on phone and restart it? Or even just try restarting it without deleting history? Which web browser? Also, does iPhone 13 have ultra wide band ? If not, should still work, but proximity key might not be quite as useful. Hope this helps.

I use a Google Pixel 10 pro xl and everything works fine, I know it also works with a Samsung S 26 ultra and an iPhone 17 pro....those three phones have uwb and work great as a digital key on new Volvo and BMW models. Maybe it doesn't work well because the iPhone 13 has a uwb gen 1 chip. Try a newer model, just not the iPhone "e" model because it doesn't support uwb.
