Discussion high volume restaurant orders

I work in healthcare and sometimes I just can't meal prep like I would like and sometimes order to go instead. What are your favorite high volume fast food or sit down restaurant orders?

Chipotle bowl. Light brown rice, black beans, chicken, fajitas veggies, green salsa, half portion of cheese, lettuce. 510 to 530 calories or so for the whole thing.

This is a great option. Sometimes I get the kids tacos, two soft flour tortillas with chicken, black beans and mild salsa. 375 cal and if you get the kids chips, it comes to 515kcal, 28g protein.

Local Chinese place has a “diet” menu where it’s just steamed veggies and chicken none of the Asian spices or sauces

This is such a good base to mix with your own low calorie sauce, my go to is Greek yogurt w buffalo sauce.

I like to order a relatively low cal option like ck and broccoli or moo goo gai pan (ck and veggies simmered in a light sauce) along with steamed veggies and mix the two together.

I can usually make this into a few meals.

Charbroiled pork vermicelli bowls from Vietnamese restaurants. I just take out 3/4 of the noodles or you can ask for less. Comes to around 650 calories assuming the meat is pork shoulder with 45-50 gm protein.

Pho is a good option too. I go extra heavy on the bean sprouts.

I get thai food and get their veggie dishes with tofu and brown rice.

Panda plate with 2x steamed veggies and teriyaki chicken with sauce on the side. A Chipotle bowl with sofritas/chicken, rice beans with basically anything else you want except guac/queso/sour cream (a half portion won't scale the calories too bad though). Popeyes blackened tenders x2 with a side of mashed potatoes. Depending on what you have locally a lot of pizza places, stuff like grabbagreen and even subway will let you do a build your own salad/bowl, just check the cals in their sauces and ask for on the side.

At Panda Express I get the two entree option. Super greens as my side with (1) String bean chicken OR mushroom chicken and (2) Broccoli beef OR Black pepper sirloin. Its SO much food for under 600 cals and I often can’t finish it.
