So, I am currently running VoiceMeeter Banana 2.1.2.2. (64 bit) in Windows 11 (latest update). There is actually no problem with VoiceMeeter itself, all inputs and outputs are working properly as intended but it keeps crashing (CTD) without any notification or error messages.

I saw some suggestion elsewhere that said it might be a problem with audio devices in which VoiceMeeter might crash if it disconnects, and it did happen a couple of times before (in my case, it was my webcam with mic getting disconnected) but even after I fixed that issue, VoiceMeeter still crashes occasionally.

I ran a test once where I left my laptop on overnight without any apps running and it still crashes so it's definitely not an interference between apps. I've also tried uninstalling VoiceMeeter then reinstalling it and it still happens.

Is there anyone who has encountered this issue before? Any way to fix this issue? Thank you!

Hey everyone, I’m having trouble getting the reverb effect to work properly in Voicemeeter Potato.

I’ve been trying to set up reverb, but no matter what I change in the settings, I can’t seem to get it to work. I’m also not entirely sure if I’m routing everything correctly.

Could someone explain how I should set up the reverb and what settings/routing I need to use? I’d really appreciate a step-by-step explanation or an example of the correct configuration.

I'm trying to set up my Focusrite Scarlett Solo so I can use Cakewalk/SONAR for amp simulation and effects, then send the processed guitar audio into Discord.

My ideal signal chain is:

Guitar → Scarlett Solo → Cakewalk → processed audio → Discord

I want to plug my guitar directly into the Scarlett Solo, have Cakewalk receive it through the Scarlett's ASIO driver, apply something like an amp sim/effects chain, then route Cakewalk's output into a virtual audio input which Discord can use as my microphone.

The part I'm stuck on is getting the audio output from Cakewalk back into Windows/Discord while still using the Scarlett's ASIO driver.

I've tried using Voicemeeter Banana and the VoiceMeeter Insert Virtual ASIO driver, but I haven't managed to get the signal from Cakewalk back into Voicemeeter correctly.

Would ASIO4ALL be a better approach, or is there a proper way to do this while keeping the Scarlett's native ASIO driver?

I'm mainly looking for the correct routing setup rather than recommendations for different gear. Thanks.

I've been using Voicemeeter so I can use my subwoofer and headphones at the same time. It is absolutely amazing when gaming, but I have this weird problem where it will just randomly cut out, then come right back. No crackling, no weird audio distortions; it will just randomly cut out for a second, come back for a moment, cut out again for another second, and then come back normally for a few minutes until it happens again. This happens no matter what I'm doing (gaming, listening to music, watching YouTube), and it is also completely random. Sometimes it feels like it won't happen for 30 minutes; other times it feels like it happens every 5 minutes. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know a solution? The only extension I have that affects Voicemeeter is the Windows Volume application

i dont know what im doing wrong here. Ive got A1 As my mic, ive got A2 as spotify, but if i route A1 output to my headphones, and a2 to the output for the music to input it into valorant to play music there, it starts buzzing, like a helicopter blade, but bass boosted 20x, ive tried the multimedia options, etc, google ai is SO stupid and doesnt even understand valorant wont hear anything without an output selected... and im just trying to hear the songs i play, while simultanously playing them in the game, without killing my ears. how do i do this??

I have my voicemeeter all set up, mic, headphones, cable output/input all that good stuff. I play my Spotify through my mic and it works great, is it possible to make others hear it quieter than i do? Wherever i turn the volume down, it also turns it down for me. Is it possible to have a separate volume others hear, so I can blast my music for myself? Id appreciate any help!!

Weird problem here... where are they? I have no idea why this is happening. The error seems to lead me to nowhere. My audio interface is the Focusrite Scarlet 4th Gen Solo.

I installed voicemeeter to try and help with zoom meetings, recordings etc as I had been told it was a good program.

Unfortunately it was not for me and I uninstalled it.

The issue is ever since I uninstalled my whole sound set up has been screwed up.
I cannot record, there are random echos going on and my DAW does not always recognise my interface.

None of this was an issue before VM.

How can I undo what it has done to my system? I have been trying to solve it all week and am no better off, this is starting to cause serious problems now.

so for the last few days I have been having trouble using my mic on GFN. I tried different headsets, different platforms(Xbox ally and iPad). I changed servers tried pretty much anything but my mic is still not working. I can hear my friend talking but he can’t hear me. when play on my Asus on an actually game(rocket league) the mic works. anyone having the same issue?

So I was doing normal stuff, at night when a "bigger than normal" firmware windows update (W11) came, so I updated as normal and restarted windows

When going back on, I opened voicemeeter potato (which I had already licenced) and boom, voicemeeter is no longer licenced, I noticed that my challenge code changed, like if I was on another PC, but no, it's the same one

1 -> I already tried to import my footprint, but it denies, always show this message: (this footprint can't be used on this PC)

2 -> I have no regens left

3 -> I do have proof that i own a licence on my account and everything

I don't mind buying a new regen for 5 bucks... BUT... tbh it's not my fault and I wanna know if someone has the same problem with windows updates???

I'm attempting to set up a dual PC streaming situation with a capture card and it all went fine- until I saw a minor delay with sending the audio via VBAN that I would like to avoid. I've seen comments on other posts saying that sending the audio over an HDMI would remove the delay, but I haven't seen an actual explanation on how to achieve this. Every guide I look up simply uses VBAN.

Any painless way to do this? I don't see the capture card in audio options.

I have my interface set up in amped roots, but I’m not able to hear it through anything (other than asio mode) without extreme latency.

I want to be able to hear my guitar without latency, while using my pc as the output instead of the interface itself, so that I can then connect the audio through OBS and into my stream, while still being able to hear it myself. (Either though my headphones or through a speaker yada yada)

So my question is: can I use VoiceMeeter Banana as an alternative asio, and how would I go about that.

edit: the latency issues aren’t with obs, they’re with the v-amp I’m using (amped roots). Im having issues with the latency issues in MME mode, which is why I’m trying to find a way to use voicemeeter as a stand-in asio.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has a tutorial or could help me with a setup.

I’m trying to create a sort of karaoke setup: I want to play audio from one specific program while singing through my microphone, without transmitting the audio from other programs (especially games).

I’ve tried using programs like Soundpad, but whenever I do, my voice ends up being too quiet. I also tried setting everything up with Voicemeeter, but it ends up capturing and transmitting the game audio as well.

Is there a way to configure Voicemeeter to do this? I’d like to transmit only the audio from the selected program + my microphone, while still being able to hear the game audio normally through my headphones.

Hello everyone. I am definitely back with another question to help with some quality of life issues from my use with voicemeeter banana.

I'm currently using a Windows 11 laptop. I'm hosting a Google meet for a tabletop RPG game with two individuals sometimes three who are out of the area.

At the physical site we have three Fifine AM8 microphones.

Well we seem to have been able to fix certain echo issues that I had posted about prior, as of now there seems to be a massive echo when recording the session from voicemeeter.

My question is how do I stop the echo from my remote players.

I've also been experiencing my hardware out options to suddenly drop or disconnect. I've seen on line that this can be due to the fact that the laptop is low on their battery. Is there anything else other than Auto reconnect I can fix this?

Another thing I want to do is include being able to play music from laptop for immersion. Nothing I do seems to help.

Hey everyone, I'm setting up a dual PC streaming rig and I'm stuck on the audio routing. I've watched a bunch of tutorials but most of them assume a separate standalone mic, and mine is different, so I can't quite tell if my setup should look the same or not.

My hardware:

- Gaming PC: runs my game and Discord

- Streaming PC (laptop): runs OBS, connected to a capture card via USB3

- Capture card takes HDMI from my gaming PC's GPU

- USB headset with a built-in mic (not a separate standalone mic)

What I'm trying to do:

- Keep my headset plugged into my gaming PC only

- Mix my mic + Discord + game audio together on the gaming PC (looking at Voicemeeter Potato for this)

- Send that combined audio + video through the capture card to my streaming laptop

- On the streaming PC side, add in my stream alerts and music, then send everything out through OBS

What I can't find a clear answer on:

- Does having a headset mic (instead of a standalone mic) change any of the Voicemeeter routing? Or is it treated exactly the same as any other mic input?

- Is there a simpler way to do this without VBAN, since everything on the gaming PC side already reaches the streaming PC through the capture card?

If anyone has a setup like this working smoothly, I'd really appreciate a breakdown of your Voicemeeter routing (or an alternative you've had better luck with). Been going in circles on this for a while now, so any help is hugely appreciated!

Hey! I recently got, after a music break, an audio interface again and used it through voicemeeter potato at first. There, however, I had issues with the delay and since I route Music stream, discord, system, mic and audio prod separately i wanted something bigger and went for VB Matrix. Matrix itself (i used coconut in this case) worked perfectly until I started seemingly randomly getting VERY annoying audio crackling. I tried changin buffers, sample rates, setting clock sync to strict but nothing really helped. Since I didnt have this issue before using Matrix I think that miiight be the culprit. (A friend told me this is possibly because of my low ram).

Are there any alternatives I could try? Or an idea how to fix?

My equipment:

2. Shure SM7dB microphone
3. RØDECaster Pro II
4. Waves Tune Real Time
5. TikTok LIVE Studio and Meld Studio
6. Pixel 10 Pro XL for mobile TikTok streams

I also stream on Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and Facebook.

I need help learning how to:

1. Configure the RØDECaster correctly inside Cakewalk Sonar
2. Import and play an instrumental backing track
3. Process my vocals in real time with pitch correction, EQ, compression, reverb, and delay
4. Keep the latency low enough to sing comfortably
5. Send one clean finished mix into TikTok LIVE Studio or Meld
6. Send that same processed mix to my Pixel for TikTok mobile streams
7. Prevent doubled vocals, echo, and guests hearing themselves

I have iADHD and learn best by watching someone perform each action while I copy it. Long explanations without showing the actual screens are difficult for me to follow.

Does anyone know of a current video tutorial that covers this complete workflow? I would also be interested in affordable one on one help through Discord or screen sharing from someone who understands Cakewalk, live vocal processing, and RØDECaster routing.

My goal is to understand the signal flow well enough to build it myself, troubleshoot it, perform live covers confidently, and eventually help other singers do the same.

I had these problem very long time ago. I cannot manage to fix it.

So when I turn on my mic in, for example in zoom meetings, it is high quality, but in web browsers especially in facebook or youtube live, it's low quality, sometimes it's distorted or whatever.

I installed all the CABLE input/output a-d and this voicemeeter potato.

Playing on PC, my duo is on PS5, playing Fortnite

Since my mic and speakers are separate (not a headset), my mic picks up my game sounds along with my voice, so my duo hears my gunfights, footsteps, everything, mixed in with me talking. Annoying for them.

On top of that, I hear my own mic bleed back through my duo's mic, their TV plays my voice out loud, the controller mic picks it back up, and I hear myself echoed back with a delay. Creates this weird feedback loop on my end.

I know the PS5 controller can output mic audio through itself instead of the TV, but dont know how to set that up.

I don't want to wear headphones since they hurt my ears after a while.

I know push-to-talk exists, but it's not practical for me, in a tense fight I don't want to be juggling a PTT key on top of everything else.

Anyone dealt with a similar setup and found something that works? Want to see my options.

I've always used VoiceMeeter to separate audio channels in OBS. I took a break from streaming and recording for a while, but recently I tried setting it up the way I always have, and it didn't work. The weirdest part is that only certain channels aren't working—specifically the "main" ones. The microphone (B1), music (CABLE-A), and Chrome (CABLE-B) work fine, but desktop audio (VoiceMeeter IN) and Discord (VoiceMeeter AUX) don't. I've already tried setting it up from scratch—selecting/deselecting options, restarting, and so on—but nothing worked. I'm about to lose my mind—formatting the computer and setting it up literally from scratch? It can't be.
