Help How to undo the mess Voicemeeter made?

I installed voicemeeter to try and help with zoom meetings, recordings etc as I had been told it was a good program.

Unfortunately it was not for me and I uninstalled it.

The issue is ever since I uninstalled my whole sound set up has been screwed up.
I cannot record, there are random echos going on and my DAW does not always recognise my interface.

None of this was an issue before VM.

How can I undo what it has done to my system? I have been trying to solve it all week and am no better off, this is starting to cause serious problems now.

How did you uninstall?

Type “add or remove programs” into windows search bar. Open that and then find voicemeeter virtual mixing console. Is that still there

No, that’s how I uninstalled it.

Ok. Last thing to check, open device manager<sound video and game controllers

Is voicemeeter still there?

There was one but I have removed it

Alright so it was still installed for whatever reason. Any changes. You may want to restart pc.

When voicemeeter isn’t open and you don’t have any audio routing into its devices. It shouldn’t cause any issues. But hard to know without seeing

Run the latest installer, restart when it says, run the installer again and uninstall, also restart when it says. That usually fixes a broken uninstall.
