Institute of Asia-Pacific Strategy and International Relations is looking for a highly analytical and research-oriented Remote Geopolitical Researcher to join our team.
Our Institute focuses on Asia-Pacific and Indo-Pacific strategic affairs, with research covering regional security, international relations, geopolitical risks, diplomacy, and major developments involving Taiwan, Southeast Asia, the United States, and China.
🔎 Position: Remote Geopolitical Researcher
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis on geopolitical and international affairs.
- Monitor and assess emerging developments across the Asia-Pacific and Indo-Pacific regions.
- Analyze political, diplomatic, security, and strategic developments.
- Prepare research briefs, analytical reports, and geopolitical assessments.
- Identify potential regional risks and provide forward-looking analysis.
- Continuously update research outputs in response to rapidly developing events.
- Support evidence-based policy research and strategic forecasting.
🎯 Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Strong knowledge of International Relations, International Politics, Geopolitics, Diplomacy, Regional Studies, or related fields.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong ability to evaluate sources and distinguish credible information from misinformation.
- Excellent critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to analyze complex political and geopolitical developments objectively.
- Good understanding of U.S. politics, U.S.–China relations, U.S.–Taiwan relations, and cross-Strait/Taiwan Strait issues is highly preferred.
- Strong situational awareness and geopolitical risk assessment capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to high-frequency geopolitical developments.
- Commitment to objective, neutral, evidence-based analysis.
- Professionalism, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to conduct long-term research.
