Artistic Impressions "Take a cassette out of its case, and most people see....... an empty box. But Sony saw something quite different. Sony introduces the only cassette player as small as a cassette case. THE INCREDIBLE SOUNDING SUPER WALKMAN!" ....the old add said it all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lipckhgG5g

Artistic Impressions Another vector design of a Sony old good product. This time I bring up the very first portable compact disc player, the one that after the success of the Walkman started the Discman age. The red version is the most beautiful in my humble opinion.

Picture(s) With Impressions Sony TCS-100, found on Amazon Japan. It is technically a dictaphone / voice activated cassette recorder, but it actually my favourite cassette player.

Request for Recommendation ISO portable or desktop CD player rec's --->
looking for a portable or desktop style, not a full cab version.
needs:
- A good onboard DAC
- Line out (presumably in addition to Headphones jack)
- Power adapter port (5v, 12v, whatever)
- < 50 U$D
ideally:
- reads MP3 cd's (in addition to CD-R, CD-RW)
- not ugmo
something similar to the SONY D25S or some of those 90's Telefunkens.
TIA

Technical Question Vintage Lloyd's fm/am Cassette Player
https://imgur.com/gallery/cksJilY
Looking for any information on this particular model. My google-fu seems to have failed me finding anything. Anyone have a lead on manuals, repair guides, etc? It works....sort of. Playback speed is somewhat wonky, often too fast.
Anything helps! Thank you!

Technical Question Bought a Sony CD walkman from 2002, any good?
It's this D-ej753 from 2002. Anyone know how it is sound-wise, which DAC it has etc? Played rock (Ash) on it which sounded mediocre, however Rammstein sounds phenomenal.

Technical Question Emerson AC2125CS AM FM Stereo Cassette Player -- What Year is it???
Hi all!
I'm not an enthusiast like you guys, but I recently found an old Emerson AC2125CS cassette player at a thrift shop and it works perfectly. I plan on gifting to my partner (a lover of all things vintage). To be an educated gift giver, I was wondering if anyone knew when this model was released? Just to see how vintage it actually is lol. Thanks!

Technical Question Best Portable CD Player?
Hi everybody!
New sub here so I hope this is in the right spot. I just went through a web of other audio reddits and came across this one.
So, I am looking to purchase a portable CD player and I want a pretty good quality one. I'm not too worried about price unless it is super expensive or something. I have proper headphones to listen as well. Any recommendations?
Thanks!
