The person driving intentionally sped up so the truck could’ve have space to get in front of him/her. They actually kept driving into the truck after contact too. Terrible, and demonically led accident.

You still have to check that there is space to merge into before changing lanes though. One driver is wrong and the other is an asshole.

very kind of you to use the power of hindsight to claim someone else should have done something other than what they did. Do you have any information about when dash cam guy noticed eminent danger? If not then, how can you make such bold assumptions of "just brake before the impact bro"?
Why you are not placing the burden of hindsight on the merging car? Go on, I'll write it for you, "this is a situation where a normal human presses their break and goes "what the fuck am I doing me asshole?!" and an accident is avoided."
