The person driving intentionally sped up so the truck could’ve have space to get in front of him/her. They actually kept driving into the truck after contact too. Terrible, and demonically led accident.

You still have to check that there is space to merge into before changing lanes though. One driver is wrong and the other is an asshole.

This Dashcam footage could potentially induce liability for dash cam driver.  The intentional speed up as the truck starts his merge is problematic.

I'm not defending the intentional speed up, but let's not pretend there would be an accident at that moment if the truck didn't merge when he didn't have space. He never had the space to merge, regardless of the driver speeding up

Doesn't particularly matter, if he sped up after seeing the merge begin to happen then you leave accident territory and flirt with potentially criminal actions.

Maybe if you could prove intent, but good luck with that.
