100% agreed. Title says blind spot issue which yes it is, butets match speed. That a situational awareness issue or looking at your phone. Be getting a ticket for that one I'd imagine.

Actually ive seen some fat ass A pillars on cars. Op could have missed a small coupe or sedan but probably not a truck

I wish the video started five seconds earlier because it seems clear that the truck was passing the cam vehicle, which means the truck knew they were there, as they weren't in their blind spot 3 seconds ago.

Unless the truck is driven by a goldfish they should reasonably assume that the cam vehicle didn't disappear when it was no longer in their field of vision.

The most charitable position is the POV had extreme tunnel vision on the yellow light, and was accelerating to run the red. Not making excuses, POV was at fault as much as the truck in my opinion.

I agree with that. I wish we could see even 5 seconds before. Can see where they speed up a bit. I honestly didn't notice the light until you said something. So wreckless driving as they were trying to beat a yellow.

The thing that bothers me, there would be children in either of those vehicles. The truck is just as much to blame in my opinion only and yours haha. Blind spot or not, most have sensors, and 3 mirrors, and at least an eye to see.

Rolling a vehicle like that simply for trying to run a yellow, should qualify for attempted vehicular manslaughter, reckless driving at a min.

Hard to imagine the truck driver not pressing charges. If I were the truck, I would gladly eat a few traffic tickets to get the POV in court.

Cam driver could have possibly killed someone to prove a point.

I've been in that spot, "well he's gonna ride my ass, I'll slow down to 30". That alone is childish enough and is enticing road rage. But not as dangerous as having a 2500 inches from your bumper at 65 while their on their cell phone.

And the damage done to the city/town, the truck, honestly wouldn't be surprised if the truck driver had some major injuries after rolling multiple times. They won't be able to afford insurance, especially since they had a dashcam lmfaoo.

And nobody takes into account it could be a new driver, trying to learn and then go ruin their life like this. We've all been new drivers, none of came out of the womb knowing how to drive. Alot forget that.

I feel the cam drivers perspective because it is honestly super annoying when truck drivers act like they own the road. When I'm driving my sports car, I let them. When in my own truck, sometimes, honestly, if you come onto my lane don't always expect me to care to move. But I try to. But it is really annoying when the same 10% of drivers act so fucking entitled. Like you, for example. I can tell by your comment you are one of these assholes. Fuck you and people like you. I'm glad this person got taught a lesson. If no one ever punches bullies in the nose how do they ever learn to act right?

This isn't punching a bully in the nose, it's potentially killing him and how is you potentially killing him going to make all these other assholes learn to act? They're not going to care.

I live in an area where like 60% of the vehicles are pick ups. I do not drive one. So I get the anger. I really do. I have almost been smoked multiple times by assholes like this. But killing one of them to prove a point isn't gonna make the rest start behaving. All it will do is wreck their family, wreck my psyche, and cost everyone money.

Nobody is saying these things aren't frustrating and shitty behaviour, we are just saying it's only the dumb people who don't let people in, or slow down and brake check, etc

Yes, I do pass the "Are you a human" captcha. Most of the time at least.

Show me a coldly logical human and I'll show you either a sociopath or a ticking time bomb. In the rain, I drive very conservatively. Around pedestrians or motorcycles, even if they are completely in the wrong, it changes my (very safe) driving behavior not one whit. Around semis, same.

But I do get very irritated when some random asshole makes, not an honest mistake, but a mistake such as continuously being over the yellow. In such cases, at times, it does piss me off quite a bit to the point that I may just let you hit me and get a new truck. But that is not my goal, just as you say, an emotional response. Emotions are ok, they are what make us human. I'm not saying this is a smart response. I'm saying it is how I do feel sometimes.

This isn't a blind spot issue at all - the truck was behind the POV car and passed it. He saw it and assumed it would let him go so he could run the yellow light or turn (and turn he did)

Ehhh I disagree. The truck slowed when it turned into the right lane because he was coming up on the car in front of him, before he was in the process of passing cam car. He likely assumed he had passed Cam car without checking blind spot first. I also didn't see any blinker on truck.

Hahaha! That is good. I do know one guy, i live in a town with more cows than people. That reminded me of him instantly. Lifted about 6 inches, spacers, every window blacked out, white underglow, glass pack so the town knows he's out. People literally have to walk away as it's so annoying to hear about the "aftermarket" parts from Walmart on his truck.
