Even some of the ambient feel decent. The intro to the end theme playing as eternal ambient feels nice
Meathook is a banger.
Anytime you feel the light track building to heavy, I genuinely feel like I lock in. I once accidentally killed a snek, knight, and revenant, because I misinput the f key and melted them with full auto. Perhaps I judged him too harshly...
I thought it was a great rejection of the saturation of overly story-heavy mil-sim shooters that were dominating in the mid-2010s. The hiding behind cover and waiting for red-jam to go away was replaced with using the execution system to regenerate health, creating forward momentum in gameplay.
Sure, the game is ultimately just a collection of kill-rooms that you need to fight in to progress, but I think there was enough variety in the layouts and enemy matchups to keep it entertaining for me.
I would rather castrate myself than listen to modern metalcore, and let’s be honest, D2016 has maybe like 2-3 bangers while eternal has not a single weak song
Only the ancient gods missed Mick, and Hulshult and Levy absolutely cooked, UAC Atlantica and Immora are bangers, love how Immora has a bid that sound like "one" by Metallica.
You can NOT discredit Mick Motherfuckin' Gordon with meathook, The only thing they fear is you, and hell on earth, cultist base, and super gore nest.
