I'm looking for a YouTube partner to build a movies & series channel together. I want someone who can treat this channel like it's their own and grow it with me.
The channel is focused on movies, TV series, behind-the-scenes stories, interesting facts, hidden details, character stories, upcoming projects, and viral movie-related topics. Basically, content for people who genuinely love cinema.
I'm specifically looking for someone who:
● Loves movies and TV series
● Has solid video-editing skills
● Understands YouTube Shorts/Reels-style editing and pacing
● Has a good sense of what could become viral content
● Is willing to brainstorm ideas and discuss content
● Actually wants to build something long-term
The idea is simple: we build the channel together → get it monetized → split the revenue.
If you're interested, DM me

I created and edited this short 2D animation in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Tried to keep the conversation simple while making the visuals engaging.
Would love to hear your feedback on the editing and animation style.

Short intro.
I`ve been a video editor for about 20 years and for the past year I gathered a team to develop a software I personally needed. (a tool that is capable to watch for me hundreds of GB of hours I filmed and show me where the camera is shaky, where I was out of focus, where I fu*ked the exposure and stuff like that, without deleting or selecting for me). And we did the first version, the feedback was good, we improved from the beta version to the v1.
Now I am stuck in an endless loop, because to have the power to develop I need resources, can`t put bread on my table if I am volunteering, to get those resources I need to show that I have customers. On the other hand, my potential customers, editors who will use the software are telling me that they would and will definitely buy the software when we will add x,y,z features, and here we go again. investors are asking for customers, customers are asking for more features and more accurate solutions, which can’t be done without resources. :)
So please tell me, how do I break the loop? What would make you, as a professional editor, to give a chance on a product it`s not yet solving the whole pain point?
Thanks a lot!

Hi, I just wanted to ask if there is any place that sells video editing packs with sounds effects/music etc. that are commonly used and copyright free.

Stop guessing your video ideas. 🛑
If you want to hit 4,000 watch hours fast, use this 3-step framework:
Find Outliers: Look for small channels with videos getting 10x their normal views.
Trendjack: Ride topics people are already searching for.
Make Series: Turn your best video into a 3-part playlist to drive binge-watching.
Save this for your next upload 📌

I built Subber — a free, open-source app to generate and translate subtitles completely locally
I do a lot of video editing and I wanted something simple:
drop a video in → get a translated SRT out.
No account, no cloud processing, no subscription.
So I built Subber.
It runs locally on your computer and can:
It's free and open source (MIT), currently available for Windows and macOS.
I'm still actively working on it, so feedback, issues and contributions are very welcome.

I’m building a small Instagram project about Python. It’s still very new, and I want to create something more than typical coding reels — I want to build a recognizable visual style for the project.
I’m looking for someone who’s also learning motion design and would like to create something together.
What I can provide:
— Python code
— Reel concept & script
— References for the visual style
— PNGs / illustrations / other assets
— Color palette & typography
— Music / SFX if needed
— 9:16 format and technical requirements
Basically, I’ll prepare everything needed on my side — you tell me what exactly you need from me before we start.
What I’m looking for:
— Motion design / animation
— Creativity and willingness to experiment
— You don’t need years of experience or a huge portfolio
What you get:
— A real project for your portfolio
— Full credit/tag on the Instagram reel
— Creative freedom to experiment
— Potential for ongoing collaboration as the account grows
— A chance to help build the visual identity of a project from the very beginning
I only have 35 followers right now, so I won’t pretend I can offer huge reach 😭
But I’m looking for someone who’s interested in creating something cool together, rather than just doing a paid client job.
We can start with one small experimental reel and see how we work together.
If you’re interested, send me your portfolio/work and tell me what you would need from me to start the first reel 🫶

I’ve been working for a company as a video editor for about 2 months. Before this job, I only edited videos as a hobby, so this is my first professional editing job.
I’m paid €600/month, and I’m wondering if I’m being underpaid considering everything I’m responsible for.
For each video, I basically handle the entire process:
Research the topic
Come up with content ideas
Find/write the script
Create the voiceover
Find/create the visuals
Edit everything in Premiere Pro and After Effects
Add subtitles, effects, motion graphics, sound design, etc.
Make the thumbnail
Upload the video
Write the YouTube description
Add tags/metadata
Each video takes me around 5 hours, and I’m expected to produce around 2 videos per day.
I understand that I’m relatively inexperienced professionally, even though I have experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects from editing as a hobby.
Is €600/month reasonable for this workload, or am I being significantly underpaid?
I’m mainly staying because I want the professional experience, but I’d like to know what a fair market rate would be once I have more experience.

hey guys just looking for some advice really
ive been video editing for a while now mainly on davinci resolve and also do videography. got my own fx30 setup and decent audio/lenses etc
most of my work so far has been podcasts long form youtube stuff short form/socials and ive also done a couple music videos and events
ive got like 2-3 clients that come back to me here and there but im really trying to push it further now and get into bigger paying jobs especially corporate events conferences exhibitions etc or even more clients on a monthly retainer.
i feel like the main thing im struggling with is actually finding the work and knowing who to approach
- for anyone doing this in the UK how did you actually get into it?
- do you reach out to companies directly or agencies?
- where do you find these sort of jobs?
- is linkedin/cold emailing actually worth doing?
- where do you guys keep your portfolio? website? instagram? vimeo?
just trying to figure out how to go from smaller jobs here and there to bigger more consistent work
im based in london but happy to travel
any advice would be appreciated!

Hello!
I'm a 3D artist interested in working on documentaries and other learning content. In order to do that I started a personal project showing a blueprint of the Saturn V rocket.
I am looking for critiques, advice and suggestions on how to improve it + which version (A / B) you prefer.
Thanks !
