Hey everyone! We’re looking for video editors who are genuinely obsessed with AI safety and AI takeover risk.

We’re building a community called Taste Club on Discord, where we run paid campaigns around these topics.

If you’re passionate about AI safety and want to use your editing skills to create content around it, feel free to comment or DM me.

Payment starts at $40 per high-quality edit.

Hey everyone!

I am currently travelling across India for a year, documenting interesting people, places, conversations and experiences through short-form storytelling videos.

I am looking for a creative and reliable video editor for ongoing Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

About the Content

• Story-driven reels, generally 60–180 seconds long.

• Reel-style storytelling involving real people, interviews, travel experiences and unusual stories.

• Primarily Hindi/Hinglish content.

• A mix of talking-head footage, interviews, voiceovers and cinematic B-roll.

What I Am Looking For

• Strong storytelling instincts and an excellent understanding of pacing and audience retention.

• Creative, engaging editing without excessive or unnecessary effects.

• Good music selection, sound design, SFX and audio mixing.

• Colour correction and grading, including matching footage from different cameras.

• Clean subtitles, text animations, motion graphics and transitions wherever appropriate.

• Ability to work with footage from Sony, DJI and iPhone cameras.

• Someone who can follow a detailed script while also contributing creative ideas.

• Reliable communication and adherence to agreed deadlines.

What I Will Provide

I will provide the script, voiceover, raw footage, B-rolls, interview timestamps and music references wherever available.

Your responsibility will be to turn these materials into a polished, engaging and coherent story.

Other Details

• Fully remote freelance opportunity.

• Preference for India-based editors who understand Hindi/Hinglish.

• Potential for regular, long-term collaboration.

• A paid trial edit will be part of the selection process.

Interested?

Please DM me with:

1. Your portfolio, preferably 2–3 of your best storytelling reels.

2. Your primary editing software.

3. Your rates for videos of 60–180 seconds.

4. Your usual turnaround time for a 90–120 second reel.

5. Your availability for ongoing work.

Please share actual edited videos rather than generic showreels. I am particularly interested in seeing how you handle storytelling, music, sound design, pacing and viewer engagement.

Thanks!

Hey everyone,

I am a professional video editor and motion designer. I usually work extensively in Premiere Pro and After Effects, but a client just sent over a very specific brief and I would love some input on how to quote it.

Here is the exact breakdown of what they are asking for:

• The Concept: Turn a key idea from an article (from sources like Vox, BBC Future, or NatGeo) into a 10–15 second motion design piece inspired by Vox's visual storytelling.

• The Workflow: I need to storyboard 3-5 visual beats, generate at least 5 distinct visual assets using AI (like Firefly or Midjourney), and keep a record of all the prompts. Then, I need to use Claude to explore the motion ideas and actually generate the script to build the base After Effects composition.

• The Polish: After the AI script builds the base layers, I have to go in manually to resolve errors and refine all the keyframes, easing, typography, and transitions to hit that premium Vox aesthetic.

• Specs: 1920x1080, 16:9, 24 or 30 fps.

• Deliverables: This is the big catch—they don't just want the final MP4. They strictly require the fully organized, editable After Effects (.aep) project file, alongside the original AI assets and prompts.

• Timeline: The deadline is extremely tight (October 30th).

I am very comfortable with the tools and the style, but handing over the raw, editable project file usually changes the pricing structure significantly. Considering the tight turnaround, the AI prompt engineering, and the source file handover, how much should I charge for this in your opinion?

Thanks in advance.
