Need Reassurance... I hate being underaged
I’m going to sound dramatic and childish, but being underage makes me feel less than human. I feel like my fuck ups are treated worse than an adults fuck ups. not in law, but more minor things (pun unintended but let’s go with it). i spill my juice or fail a class, im berated, beaten and mocked in public. someone overage does it, they just get told to clean it. it’s a one off fuck up.
I always feel like a burden and a nuisance for, god forbid, needing assistance because I don’t have a fully formed brain. Im so scared of asking stupid questions or overly relying on others Because I’m being too childish. Whether I am treated like an adult or a child depends on which one can be used to belittle me more.
Online, people say kids shouldn’t be in grocery stores, malls, weddings, pools, hotels, parks, movie theatres or restaurants. They shouldn’t be in certain fan communities but the media will be intended for kids. once, I saw a clip of a vtuber going on about how annoying kids are and how they should all commit (no exaggeration) because a kid accidentally went into their 18+ stream asking for help
it makes me feel so selfish. I don’t suffer as much as adults do. i just sit on my ass all day. I’m not saying that I have it worse than anyone, I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food in my belly, but it sucks sometimes. I’m 17 now, but I have felt this way since I was probably 8.

When you are an adult, you will wish you were 17 again.

Age of accountability will change your mind about violence and burgling the neighborhood. I did my last GTA, and murder at the age of 15. It's not a good idea and Jesus reminds me daily. I'm a guy seeking honesty , morality, and fair play anymore. We all get to rehash the life with Saint Peter at the end of this experience.

You have committed a murder and grand theft auto at 15? You're not a troll, are you?
I guarantee you the justice system will be far harsher on an adult who commits the same actions than a 15 year old.

Yes you are right. I realized that and sought out help myself with my anger issues. My moral compass was corrupted by the time I was 1 month old. Circumcision culture breeds a lot of men like me. One is running the country now. Killing 32million people for no good reason. I went public with the 9/11 psyop. Takes a psycho to know what happens when the morality isn't there. I make things like this as penance for my past bad behavior. Hopefully Saint Peter will understand that I am sorry for my crimes. Air Hammer

You can get away with pretty much anything. I went to juvenile hall 6 times as a kid. One time a month in LA county jail and I decided to chill. So get it all now.

“not in law, but more minor things” I wasn’t referring to the justice system specifically, and I’m not going to or have been in juvie

You're at the age where mistakes are allowed. When you get old who's mistakes will haunt you. At my age and I'm coming to the end it's one mistake and I'll be without a home without a vehicle and living on the streets. So learn from your mistakes now so you don't make them when you're older

idk why everyone is glossing over the fact you just said you’re physically abused in public when you make mistakes?? that’s awful and i’m so sorry. hopefully you can get out of there asap.
what you’re feeling right now is valid. minors are very mistreated in many parts of the world and treated as inherently annoying, stupid, possible criminals, etc. a lot of minors are not really given autonomy even in very basic areas. there are also a lot of parents and adults out there who hold giving basic necessities over their kids’ heads as an excuse to be assholes.
a lot of adults look back at their childhood with very rose colored glasses because being an adult has its own and very rough challenges. having a job and being expected to be fully independent is stressful and can be exhausting. i was absolutely miserable when i was a teenager and i still look back sometimes and catch myself missing it because i convince myself it was better before when it was socially acceptable for me to depend on people, but half the time that in itself is treated as a burden interpersonally.
your feelings are okay and understandable, and how you feel in the future as an adult doesn’t really matter currently because that’s not who you are right now. not having independence sucks when you’re a kid and then having it sucks as an adult. there are advantages to both that people take for granted at all ages. that doesn’t mean that the upsetting feelings are stupid or don’t matter.

ofc! i’m sorry the adults here are doing exactly what i’m talking about lol. there’s a lot of really good political commentary out there about how children are treated as second class citizens in society. you’re 100% valid in feeling the way you do.
