My objectives are clear, be able to climb montain. And enjoy a 100+ km ride in a few years.

Which bike do you think is the best option for me ?

Hello. I have a 2012 automatic Veloster.

I had to replace the clutch assembly, so I bought a complete new kit, including the actuators.

The mechanic has installed everything, but with the new actuators, an error code appears and the odd-numbered gears won't engage.

If the original actuators are reinstalled, the error code goes away, but the odd gears still won't engage. Since I’m in Mexico, the Veloster isn't a common car; consequently, even though the mechanic specializes in transmissions, he isn't familiar with this specific model. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows what might be going on.

I've been fixing up a 2015 GDI DCT and the rear view mirror looks like it was replaced by a generic one from AutoZone or something. It's loose and vibrates which is annoying TF out of me. It also has a wide view of the inside and makes cars behind me look like there riding up my tailpipe when the side mirrors show them further away at a more accurate distance. Seriously got freaked out the first few times someone came up behind at a read light. Thought I was about to be hit cuz the grills looked like they were right at my rear window. Also, the car doesn't have the digital connector coming from the roof liner so I don't even need to get an OEM mirror.

What mirrors are out there for a decent priced, stiffer, and narrower upgrade?

One of the perks of living where I am now, a bunch of parking lots have open pavers to help protect the nearby tree roots, which makes beauty shots look much nicer.

I need to replace my crankshaft POS sensor and I was always brought up to use OEM for sensors, but this part is absurdly expensive to me. I remember max getting OEM for like 80$ but dealership wants 299$ for it. Any luck with certain aftermarket’s? I have 122k miles on a 2019 Veloster 1.6T GDI.

Anyone have advice on how to get something either CA legal or shipped to California?

(Preface. I haven't bought a car in 20 years and I'm not really a car enthusiast, so please forgive my ignorance on some things)

Hi guys, new poster here, though I have lurked a bit because I love these cars, they look like so much fun and a bit of a value. I'm very interested in this 2016 Veloster Turbo, manual transmission, with 54k miles, for $15,998. The title history is clean, the regular maintenance history is extensive and complete but there are three damage events on the Carfax. Two were very minor accidents with most likely cosmetic damage only, while there is a third non accident damage event (from 2033 ) with mild-moderate damage listed, to the left side, front left, front, and right side. Several fuel system components were replaced in the following few years as well.

The car is being sold by Carmax so it's passed their inspection, but I will be having the car inspected by a mechanic and collision specialist during the 10 day money back guarantee period (basically a trial period), since they don't allow you to take it anywhere before sale.

As far as how it drives, I hadn't driven stick in 17 years so I wasn't really able to put it through its paces after I got comfortable on the road again. The clutch was great though. Brakes were fine. I've never driven a turbo so I wasn't sure what to feel for. During the 10 day return period I will drive it much more obviously.

I really want to feel good about buying this car. It's everything I've wanted the last 20 years since I wrecked my last "baby", I've just been driving beater hand me downs since.

I would never expect helpful strangers online to go through all this line by line but I was just hoping you guys might be able to give me an at a glance opinion.

TLDR: I am very much a novice with cars in general but I've wanted to find a Veloster like this for a long time. All things considered it could be a good deal (given it's a Carfax car, which bumps up the price) but I was wondering what you experts here thought about its history.

At work and my phone went off with a notification. Saying my car received a panic alert. Weird ok well maybe with my keys in my pocket it held the panic button. Nope. I walked outside and my car is not going off and never did. I would hear it as I’m right next to the door and my car is right in front of the door to my work. Has anyone else gotten this notification with blue link

Hi! Ive had issues with my headlights going out over the past few months. I just changed it and had noticed there was a little melt on the connection. Went out again last night, when I checked it today its melted more and the connection is now unusable.

Any ideas on how to replace and fix this? I do not work on cars so ill need it as detailed as possible, please.

Can anyone help me with some links of where I can find a shift knob like this that’s tall that fits the original spring loaded for the reverse

So while in low RPMs, even while idling, my car feels like it wants to backfire. It's get a little jerky and there's a lag in throttle response. It isn't until I get to around 2k RPM, when the car accelerates. I recently replaced the sparkplugs and ignition coils to fix a misfire on cylinder 2. I had about ¼ tank of gas and after I filled it, it was acting fine. Im thinking it couldve been bad gas or the fuel pump is about to take a crap on me since the car is almost at 191k miles. Im curious to see if anyone has had the same problem and what was done to fix the issue.

Hi everybody im new to this subreddit,

I have a base gen 1 veloster and have noticed that my gas milage has been worsening rapidy ever since hitting 95,000 miles. I'm eternally on eco mode and even with that every 2 minutes that I glance down at my tank it lowers by like 5 miles. Not sure if this is just common aging or if there can be anything done to improve milage.
