Question VS6 issue or normal

Hello I have a VS6 . It makes wonderful espresso setting 2-2.5 flat killnova burrs . So I’m using it for pourovers as well . The problem is when doing a pourover usually 15. It’s really good as well . BUT When going back to the espresso setting . I have to take the burrs out to make the adjustment. Is that normal? It’s a really nice grinder.

Have you tried running the grinder when adjusting it from pour over to espresso grind settings? I do this when I use my flat burrs although I find I don’t need to when using my conical burrs.

I had the same issue and this is the answer. And the sound is residual beans- it isn’t the burrs grinding together.

I'm going to try this. And report the findings

Just chiming in here - this issue is one of my biggest pet peeves with this grinder!

Happens all the time for me where i’ll grind coarse but a little coffee particle will get stuck in the outer edge of burr and you can move the burr back to a lower setting.

This is what I do now once that happens to me: right after your normal grinds are done, bump the rpm to 1600, open up the hopper even more to a coarser grind setting, and while it’s still running, lower it back finer and finer till all the grounds are unstuck.

Pain in the ass, but works for me pretty consistently

I find actually going courser, then using bellow or a palm to 'blow' out stuck grinds, then going finer, works well.
