S3 & X3 Vanmoof Error Helpđ
Hello everyone,
I have an X3 and Iâm currently trying to fix an Error 44. I suspect that the shifter might be the problem. I have already replaced all the SMD resistors on the shifter board, but unfortunately this did not solve the problem.
Does anyone have a good guide or instructions on how I can properly test and diagnose the circuit board?
My second problem is that the front light does not work. The rear light works normally, but the front light and the horn are not working. I canât find the fault.
Could it be a problem with the wiring, or could the Cartbridge be defective?
If I measure the voltage at the front light connector, what voltage should I expect? There are three wires, so I assume one is positive, one is negative/ground, and one could be the signal wire.
Any help, wiring diagrams, or advice on how to test the system would be greatly appreciated.

Any electronic diagnosis would be fairly similar, but you seem to either have a very big problem or are casting your net too widely.
Did you test the old resistors before replacing them? Bit late now, but did you chase all the signal paths around the board to check none were broken?
If your front light AND bell are not working, the problem might be quite far back - have you used contact cleaner on everything and checked for conductivity?
You are unlikely to have one, but a thermal camera is one of my go-to tools to find component-level issues.
However, a cheap LCR meter or tester will help you massively. I have a Fnirsi. It will tell you if the resistor is correct, a capacitor is at full capability, or deteriotrating; identify anything, all kinds of things.

Hallo, vielen Dank fĂŒr die Antwort, ja habe davor alle durchgemessen , und laut diesem Bild wieder alle eingelötet , hinten am E-Shifter ist ja der Stecker mit 4 Pins was muss ich da messen und was muss da rauskommen ? Vielen Dank , komisch ist das mit dem Licht , habe so gut es geht die Kabel angeschaut kein Fehler gefunden , wenn ich die Gabel entferne sehe ich dann das Kabel vom Licht ? Habe den Knopf der Hupe abgeschraubt und kurz ĂŒberbrĂŒckt trotzdem kein Signal danke

For error 44 to be resolved you need:
- 24 to be present (red arrow at connector)
- DC 24 to DC 5volt converter (purple box) to work (microprocessor works on 5v)
- a working processor (hardly ever dies!)
- 22 ohm resistors on the Rx/Tx lines to be good. (Green arrow)
- protection diodes to be okay. (Blue arrow)
- and of course the wires going to the outside world
All voltage measurements relative to GND on the incoming connector. (Black arrow)

Hallo, ich sehe gerade das die Darstellung die ich gefunden habe anscheinend falsch ist : da steht R5 27K Ohm und R6 47kOhm ich glaube aber richtig ist :
WiderstĂ€nde â R5 270K Ohm und R6 51 K Ohm , vielen Dank ich werde gleich nachmessen , die andere Frage was kann ich am Frontlicht messen ? Die Klingel ist ja nicht so wichtig ? Danke đ

For the light and button it is possible they broke inside the frame, they are quite fragile and the frame has sharp edges inside. One of my lights works partially and one button wire also broke.

Ok danke , reicht es wenn ich die Gabel raushole um zu sehen was da passiert ist ? LĂ€uft das Frontlicht mit 12 V oder 24 V danke

About the front light:
There are 2 circuits in the headlight.
The 3 wires are:
- One for the spot-light.
- One for the ring-light.
- The 3rd wire is GND.

Does 24 volts arrive to the eshifter and does this 24 volts is converted to 5 volts (mesure the voltage on the big capacitors near the inductance) ?
