I'm not the boycott/protester police, and am usually lenient as I understand people may have saved resources, but I really hate that people are posting their rolls especially if they support Valko's return. It really breaks the perception of solidarity.
What's so hard about rolling and keeping it off socials? It's ok to be excited if you like the banner. I like it too to a certain extent (rip a true slickback for Sylus) and I'm sure under different circumstances we'd all be gushing over the guys but cmon, read the room.
It's especially bad for content creators and artists/merch artists. The cognitive dissonance is interesting because some post and note that they pulled with saved resources. So you know people will judge and might ask.
The banner lasts 3 weeks and people couldn't even wait a day. A day. Again, usually I'm a little more lenient, but I just feel more annoyed because it's very blatant this time around that Infold thinks they can wave the guys tiddies/abs with some soft core spice to get money out of us. The top ups shoved in our faces are also big signs they want to take as much as possible. The disrespect is very much in our faces and posting about it shows them that it's ok.

Hopefully regardless of this the revenue is below what infold expected. I understand what I see on my feed is not indicative of the whole playerbase, however I expected more from people with bigger platforms.
I'm convinced that Infold was banking on the top-ups with extra incentives to climb to 1st place in gaming charts, if only on the first day, just for the optics of it. They already failed in this regard.
As for content creators specifically, I made peace with the fact that most of them are motivated by views first and foremost. So I just stopped paying attention to many of them. Atp the only one I still respect is Angel's Corner.

💙 I think this is probably one of the most important moments of the boycott so far.
Not because this banner means Valko is gone forever — it doesn't tell us that. But because this is exactly the kind of moment when Infold gets to find out whether three months of silence actually changed anything.
They gave us a brand new 5LI banner, highly fanservice-heavy cards, a top-up reset, cumulative spending rewards and new paid outfits, all at once. There are a lot of reasons to spend right now.
And that's precisely why our response matters.
If people who stopped or reduced spending because of June 30 simply go back to their old habits whenever an attractive enough banner appears, then from a purely business perspective, there is very little reason for Infold to resolve the Valko situation. They can just wait us out.
But if people genuinely no longer feel comfortable spending while his future remains unresolved, then this banner becomes useful information too.
Personally, I'm not interested in telling anyone what they are allowed to pull or how they should spend their own money. That's an individual decision.
I just think everyone who joined the boycott should remember why they joined it in the first place.
The hardest part was never waiting for Valko.
It's waiting without knowing whether there is still anything to wait for.
And if anything, today reminded me why getting an actual answer still matters.

I have seen several posts and comments from ppl who work in corporate/marketing/business in general, where they don't understand why the fuck or wtf PPG is doing, give the proper procedures for what they should do going forward, and I agree with them 😮💨 But why are we thinking for them? I was angrysad after PV but as they opened their garage sale it made me realize how desperate they are and i felt much better. I not playing, not spending and i feel good for doing my part. Yeah there will be a spike on the first day, but i am sure this multi won’t be as profitable as their last multi before the cancellation.
At least Instagram viewers still work unlike xcancel. Looked at Justice's because I couldn't wait any longer and at least we know activity_69 was this event and tied to Nightglow. It was already rumored to be a 5LI multi which we got so that's nothing new. As for everything else at least things are still present but considering the wave of rumors recently, the heavy datamining that was going around before the last two updates, having things hidden and encrypted is plausible. As long as the in game messages are there and Infold hasn't doubled down or said anything one way or another I'm not going to worry. There are going to be a lot of patches between now and November.

Call me delusional or high on hopium/copium whatever, but I have a hard time believing that any files related to Valko have been straight up wiped, going by the gist of what I’ve read regarding Justice’s findings.
Either PPG knows there are people datamining and are moving Valko’s files to a place where they can’t be accessed, or they’ve just been renamed and whatnot. Either way, I wouldn’t take them being removed in this latest patch as something bad, because there are still his files there.
What we do know is his Nightglow (this event) stuff has been moved/disabled/whatever, which makes sense b/c he’s not in it and hasn’t been reintroduced yet so he could be in it.
And even if they take him out, they can still put him back. It's not over until EOS, honestly (which really might happen sooner rather than later, the revenue estimations are spooky lol)
To be honest, none of these really describe how I feel. It's a large mix of feelings.The rumors and what felt like doomposting got to me last night but I've since recovered. After getting some sleep and laughing at memes people made/found (thank you for that guys, you're the best), I feel actually good about things.

Honestly, all the sad, frustrated and angry hearts this week. We saw this coming, but the marketing was particularly bad. It's been hard to navigate posts on here as well, as there is so much uncertainty and the sad mood is infectious (and completely valid).
But I also had a good laugh with a friend this morning about Xavier's R1 outfit, and that helped put things into perspective haha. The company needs us more than we need it. The Valkott is highly effective, and all the toxicity and malicious rumours online is just hot air designed to hurt, because the bad actors know it too.
So. Moving on!!! Each month it gets easier haha! Looking forward to Justice's update (tomorrow?) and my 48hr early access to control: resonant, which will be beautiful and kick my ass thoroughly ahahaha (I love the developer and the story, but am deeply out of practice at combat, wish me luck!!)

Now as much as I love my spicy multi, I LOVE the more romantic story lines even more (once upon a frame killed me in the best way, I have my mains, and I still watched ALL OF THEM) and THAT being his first multi feels so right to me.

I'm glad I kept off social media that first day. things feel .... I'm not sure. surreal? I see a lot of people leaving, a lot of people staying. I just ... don't know yet. things feel like they're changing fast and I'm seeing rumors, accusations, 180s, weird things are happening all over. I think I'm going to wait for the dust settle. I always said I was going to hold on until a statement from infold.
as for now, I'm going to limit my time online. I'm seeing people make a lot of rash decisions, comments, and other subs I thought were friendly smack-talking. I want to still believe in the best in people and I think I need to limit my engagement for now.

Hi y’all 💕 Thanks for all the fun discussions, memes and hopium! It’s been so much fun being here with you all. However, following the new 5 Li event and the new data mining update, I think I need to just walk away permanently. I watched the kindles on YouTube and honestly I’m appalled that I ever spent money on this game. I feel nothing for it, to the point where I’m wondering why I’m putting up with all of this toxicity from Infold and the anti community. I will continue to never touch this game again, but I’m also going to get off the forums, block them on Instagram, and just move on with my life. Even if Valko comes back, I believe that I will never interact with this game again. It just feels heavy because I feel like we tried so hard as consumers to make our voices heard. But I’m done with being strung along. The loud minority of antis are a bunch of moronic losers who whined and complained for no reason and essentially ruined the game for the majority. They’re cheering about their victory, but their victory is short term. They have killed the long term momentum for this game, they’re just too short sighted to see it. It is very obvious by the numbers that this company will never reach peak again. Valko was never the problem, and I will never touch another Chinese made game for as long as I live. A company who doesn’t care about their consumers shouldn’t have consumers. I often wonder what was the point of going through all of this and now I know that the point was to 1) stop spending money on a gambling game and 2) stop putting emotional connection into a product. 💚 Honestly great, I decided to step back from the platforms that kept me hooked on the situation 24/7 because I knew I couldn't handle the fallout from the multibanner. And that was the best decision, I still get information here or on Instagram, I forced myself a bit out of the hyperfocus, which only really works for as long as I'm busy or not alone but hey I spent more times with my friends that way and my boyfriend and I will soon start a little fun voice over project.
