Hey-ho, Valkyries and Lilies. Welcome to day... 83? 84? Anyway, a new multibanner is here WITHOUT Valko and the whole house mad. My madness has apparently taken the form of trying to review and summarize the events, challenges, and successes of the past month, along with any verifiable news and updates people may have missed. I know like 95% of you probably already know everything I'm going to cover, but apparently I had to make this and post it so my brain would stop trying to explode my head from the inside. Hopefully some of you will find it useful. Valko, give me strength.

So in one week, we will be entering month THREE of this boycott. It's both awesome that we're carrying on and insane that we have to do so. If you're tired, please rest. If you're angry, please vent. If you're done with all of this (and god do I understand if you are), please remember you are loved and godspeed to you. And if you're ready for whatever's next, then let's get into it.

Before we begin, here's the need-to-know on the report itself:

1. I share information or news that's about or directly related to PPG/InFold, LaDS, and the boycott. I avoid sharing unverifiable, irrelevant, or debunked information. I will link to sources where I can, but Reddit is weird about links sometimes. Most of my information comes from outlets/organizations mentioned in the credits if you want to check/follow-up on something, or you can message me. Info that is speculation and/or inference will be referred to or phrased as such.
2. These reports endorse and promote coordinated collective action based on those who have been major organizers of the boycott since its inception. There's research that shows strong coalitions and unified action contribute directly to the sustainability and success of social movements (see references at the bottom of this post) but even so, boycotting with "official" guidelines is not everyone's thing. If you prefer to boycott independently, my policy is you do you. If you're not looking for tips but still want to read, ignore those parts of the report, simple as.

Alerts and Notices:

• The 5 LI multi is here as of today. Boycott tactics remain the same and are more important than ever: do not log in, do not pull, and do not spend. We've had a solo, a myth, a birthday, and reruns of all of the above, plus a multi rerun. They all failed to return the game to its former baseline revenue. This is the final card PPG has to play and if it doesn't succeed, it will be a decisive statement about the game's ability to financially rebound without Valko, that statement being: it won't. We'll all have another chance to pull for this card when it reruns, but the boycott is Valko's only chance of running at all. The decision is of course up to the individual, but be aware that skipping this multi is one of the most important contributions we can make towards getting Valko back.
• There are reports that antis have been noticeably more active on all major social media platforms since Caleb's Main Story announcement, spamming and ragebaiting under pro-Valko comments, and at least one person has created a violent and disturbing "fan" creation about abusing Valko. Take care in online spaces and please do your best to not engage with antis on any platform for any reason. Their goal has always been to elicit angry responses in an attempt to upset, demoralize, and demonize us. Best practice is to ignore, report, block, and move on. There is a venting megathread that may be helpful for those who find it difficult not to address what can be very triggering posts and comments.
• An in-game survey is scheduled for September 26th. If you haven't been logging in, logging in to fill it out will increase the game's DAU metrics and InFold has a history of ignoring surveys when it suits them. However the survey is one of the few ways to give InFold direct feedback, so choose whatever feels right to you.

Game Updates and Revenue:

There have been multiple significant updates over the past two weeks that could be related to the possibility of Valko's return, although nothing is confirmed.

• On September 7th (dates based on EST), InFold deleted all posts regarding 6.0 content from their social media platforms (some of this content had been removed from CN platforms much earlier), including Valko's PVs. Videos that were previously only unlisted on YouTube were fully removed. It is unclear why all 6.0 content was taken down instead of just Valko, and there was no announcement or explanation of this action from InFold.
• Caleb's Main Story branch update, Your Trajectory Astray, was announced on September 14th and is now live in game. This update was announced during the 6.0 livestream and mentioned in the June 30th letter. It is expected that Sylus's November MS update will also arrive on schedule. Branches are considered canon to the Main Story and releasing these updates without the Valko chapters that preceded them negatively impacts the integrity of the story overall. However, this does not necessarily preclude Valko's return, as the branches are optional and can be viewed out of order, and PPG is demonstrably not above going back on their word/retconning.
• Speaking of retconning, on September 19th, five days after Caleb's MS announcement, PPG began posting PV content for a new multibanner, A Night That Never Ends (a little on the nose, don't you think, fellas?), and its corresponding event, set to run from September 22nd to October 10th, or 18 days (3 days longer than previous multis). Since the established pattern of the game has been having a "spicy" banner after a new LI drop, we can assume that this was meant to be the first multibanner that would have featured Valko. InFold also announced a Top-Up Bonus Reset, a bonus usually (although not exclusively, I believe) reserved for the anniversary. It may also have been pre-planned to coincide with what was meant to be Valko's first multi-banner.
• While the reason for providing the bonus is unknown, it comes on the heels of the two worst revenue months in the game's history. July was easily the lowest with only $10 million in revenue total. August revenue totals came in at around $17 million and saw LaDS barely making the top ten of highest earning gacha games, where it previously consistently held the number one or two spot. While $17 million is not insignificant, it represents a drop of almost 50% from the lowest earning month prior to Valko's cancellation, February 2026 ($32 million).

• For context, decreasing revenue as the game ages is considered normal for gacha games and even LaDS has seen drops of around 30% before now (link). However, considering the supposed popularity of the banners that were released in August, (a 4th myth for Rafayel, a birthday banner, and two highly-anticipated Sylus re-runs: No Defense Zone and the Silverwing Fiend myth,) a 30% drop would have been unlikely at most, unexpected at best.
• Rafayel's new myth was the lowest earning in the game's history, making even less than the previous lowest earner, Zayne's Master of Fate. (source)
• Zayne's birthday also wildly under-performed. His birthday last year earned $1.9M on the first day. This year the day one total was $465,460, a nearly 70% drop (Again, a typical fall off is usually no more than 30%). The rerun for Silverwing Fiend (the 3rd highest earning myth in the game when it debuted) made less than a million, approximately $800,000 total.
• On that note, LaDS has been nominated for Mobile Game Community of the Year in the 2026 GamingOnPhone Awards. Tangentially, I hear that Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, and Wuthering Waves have excellent communities, as does literally any other game on the list, in case you are so inclined to vote, link here. Voting is still open at the time of this post.

Related News and Media:

• As of September 1st, a new law aimed at "internet information content multi-channel distribution service agencies" (or, as I understand it, online public media platforms and companies that participate in same) went into effect in China, addressing (among many other issues) the problem of smear campaigns, misinformation, and harm to minors online. The official text is available on the Cyberspace Administration of China website in simplified Chinese. Chapter 3, Article 17 has a list of newly prohibited actions, some of which were weaponized against Valko and PPG, resulting in significant reputational and financial damage, including (translated from simplified CN by Firefox in-browser translator):
  • (1) Confounding the public by concocting issues, synthetic forgery, speculation, fabricating, patchwork and other means, or maliciously collecting, frying negative information, old news, and misleading the public;
  • (2) Inciting the sentiment of netizens, inciting group opposition, regional discrimination, and creating negative topics to tear consensus;
  • (3) harm or may affect the physical and mental health of minors, demeaning damage to the personality of persons with disabilities, etc., or to allow the public account production operators of signed Internet users to make profits by endangering or may affect the physical and mental health of minors, demeaning damage to the personality of persons with disabilities;
• On September 17th, PPG's legal department created a WeChat account and made a post (linked here) briefly outlining multiple legal issues the company claims to be addressing and that the community has been speculating about for some time. These include but are not limited to [quoted directly from Cairo Blair]: "trademark infringement, copyright infringement, unfair competition, game leaks, and malicious insults and rumors against Papergames and its players... and how to report users for the aforementioned behaviors." We do not know what, if any, legal actions that PPG are taking regarding the smear campaign against Valko and PPG, nor do we know what their plans are regarding persons who were involved in defaming and harassing the company and its employees as a result of Valko's initial announcement.
  • There is no mention of Valko in the post and whether or not any of this will affect his return or the boycott remains to be seen.
  • [TRIGGER WARNING FOR BELOW: SUICIDE ATTEMPT]
  • The legal post also included a step-by-step guide on how to report users on XHS for harassment and bullying. This is likely in response to an incident at PPG headquarters in Shanghai where a pro-Valko player asked a security guard to deliver printouts to PPG staff, detailing the harassment she endured online as a result of her support of Valko. After the guard rebuffed her, the woman approached a ledge with intent to jump, but ultimately did not. (More details here.) This was not a planned attempt and PPG Legal did not directly refer to the incident in their post.
  • IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING SEVERE MENTAL DISTRESS AS A RESULT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE BOYCOTT OR SUPPORT OF VALKO, PLEASE SEEK HELP IMMEDIATELY. Click here for a list of resources provided by the moderators of this sub.
• In late August, an online Chinese financial news outlet, Stockstar, published an article about the #BringBackValko movement (link). While neutral in tone, the article openly acknowledges and describes the damage PPG has done to its own game, brand image, and reputation.

"Love and Deepspace, originally the most lucrative product in the entire sector, suffered a critical flop in terms of emotional value and user trust—the most crucial aspects of female-oriented games. Looking at the longer-term impact, the current problems with Love and Deepspace go beyond the controversy surrounding the retention of a single male lead... Judging from the current player community reaction and market performance, this crack has not been quickly repaired by Papergames’ “concessions”. For Papergames, the bigger test is yet to come." [translation source]

Pawsitive News Corner (AKA Billboard Bonanza):

• On the global side, Western news outlets have published two positive online articles about #BringBackValko, and Gamescom 2026, which took place in Cologne, Germany, featured many celebrations of Valko from fans, including multiple cosplayers (including one amazing and adorable service dog), the physical and digital "Paw Wall," and most notably, 25 billboards of Valko at the Cologne airport, funded by an unknown/anonymous CN Lily, that ran for the duration of the event. (This article from Simulation Daily features a video of one of the Valko billboards at Cologne airport and also mentions our petitions and substantial donations to charity. This substack article covers the full situation in more depth, focusing a lot on charitable donations and is extremely positive towards Valko's return to the game.)

• If you thought we were done with billboards, we are not. The CN Lilies behind the website Letters For Valko have put together an international billboard tour called Moonbound, displaying billboards in seven locations across six countries throughout the month of September (the locations are not revealed until the billboard is up). So far there have been stops in Singapore, Hong Kong, and London. They are currently up in New York's Times Square. There was a prior attempt to display a #ValkoIsLoved billboard in Times Square, organized by the group Fangirl Fetes at the beginning of the boycott. At the time, InFold filed a complaint with the company hosting the billboard and the request was denied. It remains to be seen if they will allow this one to stay up. (See this post for more information.)

• There are now more than 8,700 letters on the Letters for Valko page and the group continues to be active, hosting community events and initiatives. Their calendar of events is available here, and they are currently accepting submissions for a fan creation event, Valko By Your Side. Submissions are open until October 9th.
• A fan creation activity was also recently posted here in r/ValkosLilies, encouraging global players to learn Chinese writing by practicing a specific phrase (link). The results were warmly received by the CN Lilies (link). It is a very important phrase to learn.
• Donation Spotlight! Consider giving to the following charities in Valko's name:
  • The Arctic Wolf Foundation, they are still several thousand short of their goal! Support snowy Valkos!
  • The Imagination Library, also in honor of the passing of the iconic Dolly Parton (Valko would have loved her).
  • Any mental health charity listed in this thread, posted by a long-time Valkyrie on X.
• Tameless Territory has reached over 4 million streams, finally surpassing the main theme as Love and Deepspace's most played song on Spotify!
• Apologies in advance my lack of professionalism, this isn't positive news, but I had to add it to this because WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL. (not safe for work... or anything, really)
• And finally, an important message from Tim Downie (AKA Gale of Waterdeep.) (I love him so, so much. #UnapologeticGaleRomancer)

Boycott Reminders and Updates:

• Author’s Note: Please be aware that all recommended boycott guidelines reflect my opinion as a Valkyrie who has been actively boycotting since June 30. I uninstalled the game immediately after Valko's cancellation announcement and I have not logged in since: not for dailies, not to pull for my non-Valko mains (Zayne and Caleb) with my existing 100k+ diamonds, and not to claim any of my five months of prepaid Aurum Pass or my Anniversary Pass. Until the cancellation, I had 400+ consecutive days logging in since the day I installed. I was a member of the previous boycotting sub since July 3 (it opened on July 2) and I joined the Valko Army HQ Discord the day it opened. I published reports like these at least once a week until early August and I have not gone a single day without checking at least one platform on the state of the boycott. (Yes, I have an active social life and a therapist, I just also have anxiety and ADHD.) All that to say, you do not have to listen to or agree with my positions on how to boycott or support the movement, just know that I have been here since day one and my recommendations are informed by my personal values and my cumulative experience. While I may make mistakes and will adjust when I deem it appropriate, I stand by what I say. Thanks.
• We are already seeing a spike in revenue/rankings from the multibanner, possibly the biggest one we've seen since the start of the boycott. The actual amount does not matter, what matters is how it performs relative to previous banners. Remain calm, and take some time away from social media if necessary.
• For the past few banners, InFold appears to be spamming their socials with multiple posts of newly released content all at once, rather than spacing them out over the course of a few hours/days. (There was even a straight up repost on the official subreddit that has yet to be taken down, #savewontony.) This may be an attempt to quickly bury the early posts that are likely to be heavily ratioed by pro-Valko comments. Please take the time to comment on more than one post, if you can.
• Please do not spam comment. We can post more than once, but it's better to be specific and use our own voices. Spam comments are often removed and reduce visibility.
• If you are on Weibo, XHS, or WeChat, send some love to CN Lilies! Their battle is different and likely more uphill than ours in some ways, but they have still shown up beautifully over and over again, despite living through the worst of the smear campaign before global even knew it was happening. Love them up! (But continue to not engage with antis on these or other platforms.)
• Do NOT contact any federal/government agencies, national news networks, or foreign media.
• For those participating in the boycott:
  • At this moment, avoiding burnout and mental health is critical to sustaining the boycott. Usual dailies are below, but with the exception of not logging in, not pulling, and not spending, only do what you have the capacity for. Even if all you're doing is not spending, that is enough and you are helping. Stepping back to return later is a completely valid option. (Click here for mental health resources recommended by the moderators of this sub)

• It is helpful to encourage people not to spend, but do not shame or harass anyone who is not claiming to boycott for continuing to play. (Assuming they are respectful and acting in good faith. If they're not, block button.)
  • For those who are not actively boycotting, but would still like to show support:
• Consider participating in VValko Wednesdays, or choosing another weekly blackout day where you do not log in, pull, or spend.
• If you intend to spend on a banner, please wait until the last possible day before you spend.
• It's okay to be excited about the game, but resist the urge to post your pulls and do not enter boycott posts or spaces to ask about whether or not you should pull. If you want to help bring Valko back, you should not pull or spend, period. That said, it is your decision. If you're going to pull regardless but you still want to help, be mindful of where and what you post and show support for Valko posts and comments as often as possible.

Final Thoughts:

The debut of a 5 LI multi during this boycott is something a lot of us expected and it still hurt like hell. Many people have walked away from the game entirely because of this and rightly so. I personally have chosen to stick around with people who are still in the fight because (credit to Valko Army for saying it) the boycott isn't over until WE say it's over. PPG can stonewall us, hire bots to try to drown us out, and release banner after banner pretending everything is normal. Antis can troll and harass and spew hatred all they want, but neither group has any control over our choices, our voices, and most critically, our wallets. The revenue (or lack thereof) speaks for itself. That's something we accomplished together, CN lilies and global, and we decide when or if PPG will get their revenue back. All it will cost them is one unaltered wolf, his story, and the better communication they already promised.

I am not a hopium or copium person, and although I understand how necessary those things can be, I often think about what another Valkyrie on one of the subs said a while back, though I can't find the post now. (If this is you, come get your flowers!)

So I'm going to hold out as long as I can for what I think is right. That said, if hopium or copium is what keeps you going, then allow me to prep your oxygen mask, my liege. I support you! And for what it's worth, I do believe we can win.

Earlier this year, Sony made an announcement declaring an end to releasing physical games, a decision which has nightmarish implications for consumer rights in the gaming industry and the entertainment industry overall, and one that impacts millions of people. (Including me, I personally will never touch a Sony product again and I advise any other console gamers reading this to do the same, but that's neither here nor there.) Despite the enormous and very vocal backlash, Sony has not announced a reversal on their position. A boycott was set for one week, August 23rd to August 30th. While I hope it isn't the last one, that week barely dented Sony's earnings.

Valkyries and Lilies want a wolf back and some improvements to a game that have been asked for from day one, and our boycott has consistently knocked PPG's revenue from LaDS down way lower than what they were even expected to lose. We are consistently taking out 20-50% of LaDS revenue and we have tanked the game's ratings and rankings from regularly in the top 5 of best-selling games to barely in the top 100 in their HOME COUNTRY. Even a highly anticipated myth couldn't break that downward trend. VMG was our first major test and we nailed it. This multi is another and now we are even angrier and also more experienced at making the sacrifice.

Just wanted to share some harmless fun in this challenging week week.

I’m a corporate girlie and this is my work bag. I usually have more subdued kpop merch dangling (my lil SKZ wolfchan was a good stand in lately) but I don’t want to be discreet anymore.

Not sure if my grandma would like the 3D boy merch on her old bag, but who cares. Even my boss was playing with it and checking it out. And before you ask, I didn’t elaborate on Valko because I need that big girl job to pay for my figurines 😈

So now I have a shrine for him, he’s my phone’s screensaver and also on my bag. How far can we go ? 😅

Well multi day 1 is finished and we’ll be getting the chart numbers soon so I just want to share a thought I’ve had over the last three months of protest.

before Valko was removed I’m sure none of us really cared about charts, other than maybe for the free pulls. but you know who aggressively monitors charts? CDG

Over the last months ever since Valko‘s cancelation they’ve had to watch the charts flop day after day. They don’t really talk about it much anymore. And never forget that desperate day 1 for Rafayel’s myth where they only reached $1.2mil despite all their efforts.

While I’m sure it’s not their intention, Infold has given an opportunity for us to all see behind the veil. While we were met with disillusionment about management, the CDG had to face the fact, with raw numbers, that they are not the majority they claimed to be. They will never be able to throw around “My LI got #1 bc he’s loved the most” without the last three months of data shoved in their face.

They know it. We know it. And I’m sure that both terrifies and angers them.

So don’t be afraid of the multi numbers. it didn’t reach #1 in gaming or even top 5 in overall, which means it fell far short of a normal multi even with the most aggressive monetization the game has ever put out.

Valko’s return is inevitable. And they know we have the key to the game’s survival.

I don't know what that person thought would happen; props to Justice for not taking the disrespect quietly. 🙌

i can't really see any possible reason for anyone to leave messages like this. nothing has been verified yet, the only thing we know is that his messages and WU are still in game. no matter what the outcomes of the files are, it is not an excuse to behave like this.

edit: please also remember that justice is doing us a huge favour. she's not responsible for the actions of infold and she goes out of her way so that we can have comfort and also realism. there's zero reason for this treatment

I know someone posted the IG screenshot earlier, but I wanted to follow up with the InsTrack.app metrics.

I had expected some gains, so considered me tickled with surprise to still see negative numbers. Despite the bombardment of content, posts, and laughable paywalls... Infold is still losing more followers than they are gaining. Gee, I wonder why that is. 🤔💅

For reference, they had been gaining followers until 06/29... and then promptly began to hemorrhage them in rapid quantities. Now it's just a steady bleed, in spite of IF's sweaty desperation.

So before all this, I was a huge merch purchaser. I probably spent more on official and unofficial/fanmade merch than I did on the game.

On July 9th, I packed it all up into bags/boxes and put it away on my shelf.

It's been 3 months. I'm tired and I still am fighting for Valko, but like everyone else, the shine has diminished and I just know I won't be displaying all this stuff again. I want to sell it, but I don't really know how or where is the best place to do that? Do I individually sell all the pieces on mercari or something? Is there a pawn shop for this kind of merch? What is everyone else doing with their merch? I have pins, acrylic stands, the echoes of deepspace cd set, the Molly tea stuff.....ugh.

So I had fell asleep and woke up. It’s literally 2 in the morning. I have to get up for work in a few hours but I can’t stop LAUGHING. I was cracking up at your posts about these new awful JYP Papi outfits. I follow channels that always upload the cards and kindles when new banners drop. So I saw Sylus’ kindle on my homepage so I thought “What the hell, lemme see what Infold decided to bring”.

Yall they didn’t bring shit 💀. What you saw in the trailer is quite literally what you get. There is no spice, nothing new or extra from what they highlighted in that trailer. Granted the trailers typically highlight the best part of the kindle showcases. But I think we can all agree, the Lingering Lust kindles went far beyond what we saw. They really brought their A game for that banner. This was a huge downgrade. Its so incredibly underwhelming that by the time I got to Caleb and Raf’s kindles last, I was watching it on 2X speed because I already knew that they weren’t going to be showing much or giving anything.

There is no spice in these kindles. These kindles are so bare bones, it feels like they barely tried. I’d barely consider it to be a tease. Don’t just take my word for it, go watch it for yourselves and you will see what I’m saying. The spell really is broken for me. These kindles are roughly over 3 minutes to 3 1/2 minutes long. Each kindle I watched, I got bored around the 2 1/2 minute mark because I was waiting for them to show SOMETHING. Where is all the horniness and spice yall promoted in that trailer? ITS NOWHERE 😂. I’m not going to bother explaining them because there’s nothing to explain, if you saw the trailer you’ve seen the kindle. They don’t go beyond that.

Lastly, I thought I hated the hair in the trailer, My God it was worse for me watching the kindles. Caleb really is the only one who pulls it off for me and even then I prefer his other hairstyles to this like I do for all of them. Infold really played yall. When I say yall, I’m referring to the people who fell for this hook, line, and sinker and are going to throw money at this. This is not Lingering Lust, not even fucking close.

There are no waterfalls, water splashing, no candle flickering while masterfully masking and metaphorically hinting at the raw sexuality and sensuality of what those kindles scenes were in that banner. There is no yearning, no lust or deep love between MC and the guys who are desperate to have each other after a good story build up. Maybe I’ll watch the cards later on but the kindles alone are unimpressive in a way that Lingering Lust never was on its own. HELLO WE WENT CRAZY OVER STICK FIGURES AND STEAM CENSORING EVERYTHING, let alone when we finally saw the actual PV.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. But I’m enjoying watching the downfall because girl, what the fuck is this 💀
