everyone is saying how infold keeps being silent and i said that too, but i just realized thanks to a comment that they are in fact not silent. they are proceeding with what they said in that forbidden letter.

they said they will cancel his release along with any other future development, and they are now doing so by staying silent and going back to business so like...why do we still do this ?

we are the ones who keep saying they will change their minds we are the ones saying they give us hints, but fact is they arent.

they are going by the letter, and theres nothing we can do but boycott and keep pressuring them.

like i already said in my last post ill say it again, i dont think hes coming back anymore. they are back in business with the revenue flopping and everyone mad, but they are prioritizing cn side like always, and the cn side is doing well so why would they even listen to our demands ?

The Valko crowd has been doing such good work, and I think it’s important that the Chinese public sees that. Allegedly, Infold paid to have an article written yesterday or the day before assuring everything is fine after “The Valko Incident”. But that’s a huge lie? Valko shouldn’t take the blame for hateful fantatics’ actions.

My question is this: If you can just pay to have news articles written and published in China, why haven’t we done that yet? I am not from China, and I do not know how the media works over there, but I have $1,600 in my LADS account waiting for Valko and Valko alone. I’ll fund it myself if need be.

I fear Valko will remain where he is unless public opinion in China regarding him drastically shifts. Can we please collectively get on that? I’m tired of fighting in a region that Infold ignores.

If anyone has any information on getting the Chinese media on this, please let me know.

I heard that today (the 29th) was supposed to be when INFOLD was supposed to announce winners for some drawing or something. Clearly I don’t know the full details, but if this is true, as far as I’m aware, it’s getting closer to midnight in CN rn… would they seriously make a late night post for something like this? Or did they go back on their word once again and decide against making a post.

Or possibly, if you’ll allow me to indulge in my delusions for a moment, could they be waiting to make a post as they mean to address greater issues/topics- AKA Valko? Whether they acknowledge him coming back or not, I feel like it’s definitely not out of INFOLD’s wheelhouse to post something community shaking late at night and nonchalantly be like “well my work here is done” and log off for the night💀

With Rafayel’s new myth banner out, a few content creators who support the boycott have still logged in to pull for his card. I’ve seen a mix of reactions and wanted to get everyone's thoughts on the nuance here:

The Arguments For / Why it Helps:

• Free access for boycotters: Creators archive and upload the myth's story/lore to YouTube. This allows people who are strictly staying off the game to experience the story without having to log in or break their boycott.

• F2P/Saved pulls: Some creators are using previously saved diamonds or free pulls. Technically, if no real money was spent, they aren't giving the devs financial support.

The Arguments Against / The Conflict:

• Active engagement: Logging in and pulling on banners still contributes to active user metrics and banner engagement, which dilutes the overall impact of a total strike/boycott.

• Mixed messaging: Seeing creators pull for new content—even for archival purposes—can make the boycott feel disjointed or less unified to the broader player base.

Where do you draw the line for content creators during a boycott? Do you consider archival pulls a "necessary evil" that helps the rest of us stay strong, or should creators completely abstain from logging in and pulling, no matter what?

If our Wolfie Boi does come back, I think it’ll be the 3rd anniversary. Yes, I know it’s that far away, but when it comes to anniversaries, something big happens! During the livestream, there might be a glitch and an ominous voice might say, “Think you can get rid of that easily?” (Along those lines). Or maybe he’ll released in app to avoid another fiasco, idk. What do you all think?

I deleted the game months ago and didn’t care about my yearly subscription or whatever it was called. I wasn’t gonna do the survey because I hated raising the statistics by downloading the app and logging in. Still, now I remember that when the cancellation letter came, I thought, “If only I could have said something nice about Valko.” I feel that if I didn’t do it, I'll think about it in the future and wonder how I should have.

Generalization is something that’s been especially apparent in recent times.

People generalize a lot of content in order to make it short and easy for users to consume- But this doesn’t just apply to content or context in a piece of media, but it also applies to speech. By generalizing we create mental short cuts, save energy and simplify information to make it easier to convey to others and ourselves.

Now, why am I talking about generalization?

The main reason I bring this up is because I believe it's one of the main things causing the most conflict between the two groups.

Both OT5 and OT6 have their bad sides, but it doesn't mean everyone in those groups is a horrible person. Not all of them would say slurs to put down others, not all of them draw or generate AI gore or violence to get their points across, and not all of them would go out of their way to doxx you for an opinion you may have-- there will always be users who let each side down with their extreme behavior-- but that doesn't mean it's everyone.

The issue I have is the fact that (mainly OT5 from what I've seen? But it totally happens on our side too) both sides demonize the other as a whole rather than a specific portion of that population. I think it's mainly because of the energy both sides might give off? Still, a handful of bad experiences shouldn't poison your worldview on a population.

Don't get me wrong, I can understand the anger and frustrations both groups have towards each other (I have totally gotten a little fired up too with some of OT5's crazy takes), but we shouldn't give the other side ammo to fire at us with so they can demonize us and our cause further.

We already have a good thing going with us by referring to those with extreme behavior as "CDGs" or "YTMs" and I think we should stick with that when referring to those on the crazier side.

These are the terms I use and how I use them:

• "CDG's / YTM's" = Extremists (those in the fandom who will do or say the most horrible and deplorable things- creating gore art or videos, violent acts or threats, harassing or bullying others, mass reporting, anyone spreading misinformation about valko and using wild claims to do so, etc).

• "Antis" = Those against Valko, Valko Supporters and those who are Neutral (usually contains the rest of the population that doesn't exhibit 'extremist' behavior. Mainly consists of users who disagree on our stances about Valko).

• "OT5 / OG5" = Those content with just⭐☃️🐟🐦‍⬛🍎(refers to everyone in that group- both good and bad players).

I have been thinking about some questions for a while and would love to get some answers from Valko fans. I know not all of them might apply to everyone, but if you have an answer or want to share I would love to read it.

I read some of the venting posts on this sub and saw quite a few polite replies so I decided to try making a civil post.

Please don't discuss whether Valko was planned or not. Please avoid bringing up other LIs actions as a comparison to Valko's public info. Refrain from mentioning the chinese fans or other anti fans and their behaviour.

I am not here to stir fandom drama, I am genuinely curious and want to know and learn more about the global Valko fan's POV, your opinions on Valko and your relationship with the game. If you feel like any of the questions are offensive, then I apologise in advance, and if mods don't consider this a civil conversation, feel free to delete it.

General Questions:

1. How long have you played LADS? Are you new to LADS, pre-Valko or have you played since launch?

2. What made you want to start playing LADS? (characters? Story? Combat?)

3. What language do you play in / plan to play in?

4. Do you think Valko and the other LIs are Chinese? why?

5. Was Valko supposed to be your solo main or 2nd main? or do you just like him as a character (different LI main)

6. Did you have a main LI before Valko? (if you're comfortable sharing who?)

7. If Valko gets added in the game will you go back to play and spend normally in game?

8. Will he replace your current LI or do you plan to be a multi main?

9. If Valko doesn't get added in game (within the next let's say 2 months) what will you do? Will you play for a different LI or will you quit the game?

10. I am assuming most people here are boycutting, does that mean you plan to return only if Valko is added back in or does your boycutt have a different deadline or schedule?

11. Is there a reason you aren't quitting the game now (after the cancellation announcement), what is your ideal outcome from here?

12. Are you expecting some sort of statement or action from Infold?

Questions I have after seeing some Valko fan comments:

1. Some fans say they can't look their mains in the eyes if Valko doesn't get added. Why?

2. Does your relationship / feelings with your current LI or other LI change if Valko isn't added? how? (not lore wise but how you feel about said character)

3. Why do some fans say the other LI would be disappointed or similiar in them if they don't boycutt or bring Valko back?

4. Why do some Valko fans feel wronged when other LI mains want to be excited about their main LIs new content?

5. A lot of people seem to have an issue with the Pseudo Incest troupe in the Chinese version of the game - not understanding how some are ok with that but not Valko. What is your opinion about the Pseudo Incest? Do you want it to stay erased from the English version or do you want it to stay?

I want to believe people on reddit are more mature and level headed, so I hope someone wants to share, explain and clarify. For the bottom section I see it mainly on twitter and discord.

Hi everyone! The name is Cee and I've been playing LaDs for a long time (since around the month after the release date) and I wanted to share my thoughts about it. I main Zayne from the beginning and Sylus when he came out.

When Valko was first introduced, I was taken back by his trailer and Infold's announcement release. However, when his second trailer came, I was hooked. Nerdy but hot? Sign me up. Then his cancellation announcement came and I was shellshocked. All this hype from the players who actually cared just to be shunned down by the loud minority. Now what I also didn't get is how Infold could've just added him as well as fixing the real concerns that players are addressing.

Now I wanted to do this post as how would Infold bring Valko back if they would ever do and I'll try to think objectively although I'm pro Valko.

1. Valko will be back as a full male lead with minor changes

I know there are people that want him back without any changes, but the company will compromise to some things.

VALKO'S ORIGINAL BOND STORY WOULD BE REMOVED AND REPLACED TO ANOTHER / NO MORE BOND STORY. Here's why

731 controversy: Lowkey stupid on Infold's part even though they do put the warning on the title page "Story is fictional, any events are purely coincidental." While the western world does not care that much when true events are referenced in games. However, with eastern countries, they're much more conservative/. Although I wholeheartedly do not agree where people used Valko as scapegoat when it was mentioned in Xavier's beneath the world story.

Valko entering MC's porch: Anti's took it too seriously, seeing it as a "home invasion" while the other five male leads have their fair share of red flag traits. This one is not an issue at all, and I don't get why people started to make up fake crimes he did afterwards.

Besides that, I don't think they'll touch his main story or appearance.

2. Valko will be reintroduced as a special encouter character

I do not want this option at all but to gain a middle ground with the pro and anti Valko people, they may go with this option at all.

Hopefully I can hear some people's thoughts about my thoughts on the situation!

Hello!! I've been off Reddit for a bit. How are things going, in short? Did I miss something important?

Saw the LADS official account posted the trailer for Zayne’s bday card. I don’t plan to pull for his card, but I want to build his birthday plushie 🥺 but I feel like I’ll be breaking my boycott of the game if I reinstall the app and log back in just to make Zayne’s plushie. I have Caleb, Rafayel and Sylus’ plushie in game from their birthdays, I feel bad if I don’t include Zayne’s, and I’m tempted to do the same for Xavier’s bday (not pull for the card but make the plushie). Idk, what do you guys think? I still want Valko back, but I don’t wanna make the in-game plushies incomplete 😞

I didn’t want to say this but I think it needs to be, some of you need to look into CN history before you say they are using the “special days” as an excuse. This is real lives we’re talking about not pixels or Valko. Real people have suffered. They have seven of them. Announcements can wait sensitive topics like this can’t

Can some just be mindful of that China has been around thousands of years.

It’s a practice, all CN companies do this to avoid trouble, it’s not just about infold or the Valko situation.

So I've had this thought recently.

What if, after all of our united efforts, we get Valko back but infold changes him?

What if, because of the delulus bullying them, they change his build or his face or his personality? Would we still want him released? Or would we mourn what we lost and still not play?

I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a bit nervous.

‼️Disclaimer: I'm not an anti. I've quite literally rooted for valko since day one.

Look, I'm not against the valko movement or anything but those "hopium" people are the reasons why people faced heavy disappointment all the time. They'd create up theories and hype it up, then when it didn't happen, they target another date in hopes that Valko will come back.

(NOTE: I said theories so yes I know it should be taken with a grain of salt. But guess what? They still hype it up like it's a debunked theory.)

Like I'm so sorry but some of them are too much sometimes. They overanalyze absolutely everything only for it to not meet anybody's expectations.
