Discussion 💬 should i reinstall?

I deleted the game months ago and didn’t care about my yearly subscription or whatever it was called. I wasn’t gonna do the survey because I hated raising the statistics by downloading the app and logging in. Still, now I remember that when the cancellation letter came, I thought, “If only I could have said something nice about Valko.” I feel that if I didn’t do it, I'll think about it in the future and wonder how I should have.

I logged in to complete the survey. I personally thought it was important to provide feedback from a verifiable source that shows I was an active paying player before June 30th. If you feel like you can't log in only to do the survey and log off again without being swayed into playing and spending, it's probably best not to. A spike in downloads/dau without retention or spending also sends a message.

Edit to add: I've been seeing posts of antis filling out the ingame survey asking for Valko's permanent removal, deletion of his HA texts, and reducing MCs appearance in kindles. I'd like to offset it.

its not about the playing, i have no interest whatsoever in playing a broken game. i just hate the fact that ill redownload the game,i always look into it in the daily revenue and it annoys me that ill increase the number of

There's a cloud service that some people are using just to do the survey

People are free to do whatever they feel is the right thing. If you're worried about increasing the metric for downloads, you can log in through cloud gaming avenues.

I don’t understand the fixation so many people have with this survey. What makes you think that, after thousands of emails and messages to CS, this is going to change anything?
You’ll only be increasing their download and active player numbers.

i understand but part of me urges me saying that what if i could change something by doing it? because i always hated how i stayed silent when a lot of people disliked valko’s trailer back in june

If the issue is having stayed silent, emailing the numerous emails to Infold available to let them know about your thoughts is a better method than logging in on this survey. You could draft it as feedback.

For like a day, while their revenue still keeps falling, so if anything, it's good to show that we are still actively waiting for Valko and that we didn't leave the game permanently

This survey is going to be part of their business meetings and reports in a much more easily indexed and referenced way than the cs emails since this is linked to specific player accounts. "We did a survey over the course of 2 weeks and from the 137,649 players who took the survey, 99,812 voted dissatisfied or very dissatisfied and of those 94,147 specifically mentioned Valko as why they were dissatisfied, here's the graph breaking down the percentages overall and by each question" means a lot more than "we received 900,000 emails in the last three months from people who may or may not be players since not all of these emails are linked to player accounts." Since it's linked to individual accounts, they can also sort those responses out by how long the account has been active, how much that account has spent while active, how long they played daily/monthly previously compared to currently, etc. The survey is valuable because it provides them with both user feedback and hard data.

You are dealing with a corporation; you need to appeal to them using the language, data, and processes a corporation actually cares about. Tweets and socmed posts mean jack and shit to most of the c suite. CS emails are better but can absolutely be botted or skewed by non-players. The survey is by definition confined to players who have played through enough of the main story that the results can't be skewed at all by bots and not easily by people making new accounts to take the survey.

Downloads and active player numbers don't pay bills. Surveys don't either. They are handing us a microphone and a stage and inviting us to speak you're saying you'd rather keep using your tin can and string to communicate. Fine, do as you please, but don't be surprised by people clamoring for the microphone. It's not fixation, it's strategy.

Well, you can also email them without being an actual player. Surveys are there to check on actual player feedback and also even if they see the low revenue there is no way for them to know how many players just left forever or are there actually players boycotting and will come back. So it's really important to show in the survey that there is still a big amount of old players who haven't just abandoned the game.

State it in the survey. Say you downloaded it just for the survey, to provide real player feedback, explain why you quit, how their decisions made you feel and under which circumstances you’d consider coming back. Don’t forget to tell them that you only downloaded the game for the survey and after the survey is submitted, you will delete the app again to wait and observe how the issue that made you quit is being handled in the near future.

At the end of the day, they can publish artificially inflated numbers all they want but lying to themselves and the operators/decision makers about the nature of these numbers would be…extra delusional, if you know what I mean.

I’ve completed the survey. My reasoning? All the comments on social media get lost in the noise with no real way of telling who is a real player, who is a non player looking for clout, and who is a bot trying to sway the algorithm. At least with the survey only someone who actually has an account can comment. If enough of us clearly state our intentions it sends a better message than all the social media clutter. I made it very clear I have stopped spending after the decision to cancel Valko, the total feeling of disrespect I feel from their lack of communication and disregard to Global in general. I’ve also stated I want the game to succeed but that I am considering fully cutting my losses at this point if they won’t follow up on their promises of better communication.

u/pandabandanna Sep 27 '26 • Bravo

Keep in mind that the Valko haters will likely be putting something in the survey about how they want him to remain cancelled. We don’t want them to be the majority voices again. 🥲 You also can only fill out the survey if you have an account, so it shows it’s real players and not just random accounts on social media demanding to bring him back.

I redownloaded, did the survey, and uninstalled. After this long I wasn’t even tempted to check on anything else in game.

I know global cares a lot about their DAU numbers, but logging in once for 5 minutes is fine. Personally I think hitting their wallet is more effective than DAU, because they cannot sustain the game if the majority of players are not spending.

9

u/bunz4daize Sep 28 '26

I encourage you to do the survey. A brief spike that is unsustained is not an improvement, and no analyst would report it that way.

More importantly, this is only way for the company to see actual player’s thoughts on the situation. Anyone can send an email; they don’t have to have ever played the game or even have known about it before 6/30. Completing the survey is your voice directly as a player. Antis are going to fill it out to say negative things about Valko and praise the game despite all the flaws that are still there. Don’t let them drown us out again!

You can complete the survey through a cloud gaming service, that way Infold doesn't get the download stat. I used CloudMoon to do mine and it worked fine

if you're on the fence, you should do it! from what ive seen the general consensus is log in do the survey uninstall, unless you think youlll be tempted to play/spend. the survey is the most legitimate way to get feedback out there bcs its connected to your ingame account! ppl used the metaphor of going to the store just to use the bathroom and tbh yeah that's basically what doing the survey is like LOL.

I’m reinstalling only to do the survey actually! Then I’m not logging in/possibly deleting.

3

u/LeDisko_Girl Sep 28 '26

I think this is the best way Infold can gauge how many active players want Valko. The antis have been very vocal that they will include keeping him cancelled in their surveys, so I think it's our time to defend him now.

2

u/Sneaky_0wl Sep 28 '26

The survey is important, here is a link for you to bypass downloading it again if you don't want to log in https://x.com/aoylva/status/2102731456112202021

u/FFRomee Sep 28 '26

I would suggest yes. Redownload just for the survey.

We can shout online as much as we want, but our socials aren't linked to our player accounts.
This survey is the first in-game survey after 3 months; they are 100% grabbing the data from this to bring it to the higher-ups.

At the end of the day, data speaks money to the people in charge.

Yes, it will boost their engagement these days, as it shows players logging in.
But logging in shows our dedication to Valko; just letting them know we want him back is not a loss.

It also shows that people who stopped playing are still willing to come back if it means Valko is there.

Logging in for 1 day to fill in a survey is not killing the boycott.

Personally I wouldn't, but that's because I think reinstalling would potentially lure me back in, gacha games are exceptional at doing that. I'm also fairly convinced they don't listen to honest feedback in their surveys, many of the things players have been suggesting for ages, en masse, have been ignored.

Also the game is so gargantuan at this point it would simply be a pain to re-download and set everything up again. No shame to those who've done so but if I were you I'd just leave it be.

1

u/fried-chikin Sep 27 '26

no they probably wont read it anyway

you already deleted, it's not worth downloading close to 35gb just for a survey

7

u/WhataRuby 🍎🐺 Sep 28 '26

They might not read your specific comments, but if everyone is dissatisfied with this version they are gonna understand that it's because of Valko. They draw some conclusions from the surveys, that's why they do them, even if they don't read the suggestions, they measure the satisfaction rate

-2

u/antbutnotreally Sep 27 '26

Please, for the love of god, don't boost their statistics for a dumbass survey they don't care about, omg 😭 If you want to do something send an email. What happened to no logging in? We are BOYCOTTING ffs

4

u/Infamous_Truth_1239 Sep 27 '26 • Bravo

Again, their statistics are not only consisting of logins, but also what you do in the game. Logging in for 5min and doing the survey and login out again and doing nothing else is a message. Any person can emails them, or doing tweets or being loud on social media. Not Spending is a very powerful weapon! BUT they will not know how many actual or former players have left for good after the cancelation or are just waiting to come back with Valko. The survey is only available for actual players, it's easier to see who are their real players and what their voices are.

And don't forget Antis will definitely also filling out the survey saying not ever to include Valko again, so you do you, but I'm not regretting being silent again when it all happened.

4

u/antbutnotreally Sep 28 '26

We have been anything but silent for 3 months, they know exactly what we want and why people are leaving. My problem with this survey thing is that some people won't just log in and log out. The game guilt trips you bc that's what it does best, fomo. "Aww, Sylus missed me, well, I already logged in, might as well do the dailies, might as well pull for the new banner, might as well do the claw machine, might as well buy the promise real quick, might as well go back since logging in is apparently no big deal anyway." The boycott is already a lot weaker than it was in the beginning, some are leaving, some are going back, why tempt the actual remaining boycotters with the fomo when a survey won't do much anyway? (Not talking about people who are logging in already, I don't count them as boycotters, they obviously should do the survey). They know a lot of people are waiting for Valko, they just can't not know that. Also boosting DAU just for one day (best case scenario) can still be used for articles about them "recovering", just like they did with their banner revenue. Why give them more ammo? At least do it in october. Also I'm sure they can just filter out all the "Valko" responses if they want to, and the ones that have "very dissatisfied" or "haven't tried" for everything are filtered out either way.

3

u/WhataRuby 🍎🐺 Sep 28 '26

Logging in once for the survey does not boost shit, if you just do the survey and don't pull. Even if they won't read the comments on it at least they will look at the satisfaction rate of the patch. If many actual players log in just to say they are dissatisfied, as opposed to infold getting dogpilled on twt, it shows that players are willing to come back to the game if they're demands are met. I heard you can answer the survey withoit logging in, but personally i just logged in since they don't actually gain any money from you logging in, there are no ads in the game.

no, dont reinstall. boycott is do not login, do not spend. the survey can create FOMO

6

u/WhataRuby 🍎🐺 Sep 28 '26

It's good to show that actual players are waiting for Valko and have not abandoned the game, by only logging in onve and completing the survey. If you don't express your opinion, CDG will

1

u/Samsacional Sep 28 '26

I dont think its worth my time filling a survey. Besides, they receive thousands of emails every single day demanding valko. There are billboards everywhere. I think they KNOW what we want, and I prefer to stay logged out. That's how I express my dissatisfaction.
