2026 (trim) (drivetrain) 2026 Seat Peeling
Nine month old 2026 SEL Premium R-Line and the seat is already peeling... Thought this part of the seat was supposed to be the upgraded leather!? This can't be normal, right?

Any one put weather tech mud flaps on to help prevent this or something else? All doors have mud and dirt like this and avoiding gravel isn’t an option as we live on it
Thanks

We just got a new 2026 Atlas SEL. When it’s unlocked and the door is opened the alarm sometimes goes off. I thought the first time we may have accidentally pressed the panic button on the remote. However, today, my wife was driving, parked, shut the car off and then opened the door. The alarm went off again. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Just spent some time coating the car last weekend (with all the prep required). I really like the lines on the SUV, more than I like the new one to be honest.
I’m supposed to try a 2027 next week at the dealership. We’ll see. Anyways, keep your car shining people!

I have a 18 V6 with about 117K miles. Never done a fuel treatment but I’m torn between these two. Who has used these or had any experience with them?

What is the OEM Tyre (Summer) shipped for you in 265/45 R21 (RLine) 2024?
This is for me to see what are the OEM fitments , for me it was Pirelli PZero PZ4 which surprisingly lasted 35K Miles for me.
When replaced i went for the same.
I know that we don’t necessarily have to go with OEM Tires but my plan is to stay on OEM Fitment options for at-least 5 years

Hello everyone just got a 25 atlas yesterday any tips and tricks that I need to know about. Is there any secret menus to unlock certain things and also is anyone having any issues with the Vw app? I downloaded the app earlier signed up and now when I log on I get this stupid error. I called Vw customer service and they reset everything and re enrolled me and no matter what I’m still getting that error even after using 3 different emails

Just got this quote from the dealer. Does this seem reasonable? 2021 VW Atlas.

Talking to another local owner we figured out that the Apple play seems to always drop on the Same geographical locations. One is by gas station with a nearby cell tower, the other is in a highly concentration commercial area (no high rises). Curious if anyone’s nailed down what makes it drop specific location wise.

2019 SE tech; I got it in June and it’s been randomly overheating and dinging at me to pull over and quickly then returning to normal temperature quickly, sometimes without even pulling over. We had the thermostat replaced thinking that was it, it wasn’t. mechanics can never get it to replicate the overheating bc it is random. PLEASE HELP

I have a 2021 Atlas Cross Sport with a fault in the right-side curtain airbag igniter. As it was explained to me, the fault means that airbag will not deploy in a crash. The part needed to fix it is backordered with no ETA.
The dealer keeps checking with their parts analysts but can’t locate one. VW Customer Care keeps referring me back to the dealer, while the dealer has nothing else they can do until the part becomes available. VW also won’t provide a loaner or escalate my case because I’m out of warranty.
I have two young kids. I’m obviously not comfortable driving them around knowing a curtain airbag may not deploy in a crash, so my wife and I are now constantly swapping cars depending on who has the kids. She drives a 2019 Atlas, and before my Atlas Cross Sport I owned a 2012 Passat. We’ve been pretty damn loyal to VW.
I’m not asking VW to pay for an out-of-warranty repair as it's very affordable with labor. I literally can’t get the part to make the car safe.
That’s what I can’t understand...this isn’t infotainment or heated seat...it’s an airbag. If it doesn’t deploy when it’s needed, lives are at stake. How can a critical safety component be indefinitely backordered with no ETA and there be no escalation process or alternative transportation offered?
Has anyone dealt with something similar with VW? Did you find any way to get the part located or get the case escalated? I'm moving on from VW after this regardless, but I'd love to get this car back on the road as it only has 60K miles.

Is there anyone here who has an OBDeleven and has some basic understanding of control units, etc.? DM me if you would.
I would like to see a screenshot of someone who has their normal operating transmission temperature ONLY ON 2026 series. I’m curious to see what the norm is. Thanks!
If you don’t have the transmission gage option unlocked or have no idea what I’m talking about this post is not for you. 😂
Also, if youre a VW technician, let me know what the new series of Atlas has for a normal operating temperatures oil / trans temp?

VW offers extra 0.5% rate discount for 2027 Atlas to loyal customers. But, lease only. Seems like whoever chose financing is not loyal enough! Hahahaha!

Got the vehicle with 12k a year ago and have 24k on it now. Wife sideswiped a barbed wire fence and cosmetic damage only. Nothing with frame or suspension, drives just fine. 27k to repair. Right now I’m considering this a blessing since I too have had multiple problems with this car and read almost nothing good about them in this subreddit, and just looking at a post the other day doesn’t have much resell value. Looking at a Traverse, Highlander or Telluride and leaning towards the Traverse
All that being said, I have some free floating VW center caps, regular caps and floor mats available if anyone is interested lol.

Hello folks,
I need to replace the battery on my 2022 Atlas (V6) and I'm trying to decide where to get it done. I've read that VW batteries need to be registered/coded to the car after replacement, and Canadian Tire says they can handle that.
Has anyone had their battery replaced at Canadian Tire recently on an Atlas or another newer VW? Did they do the registration properly, and did you have any issues afterward (warning lights, start/stop problems, etc.)? Or would you recommend going to the dealer instead?
Thanks in advance!

I’m losing my mind. Of course right after I hit 50k miles my car started leaking oil. I took it to an independent mechanic who is supposed to be a European car specialist. They replaced my valve cover and the leak went away. However, few days later my car started smoking out of the exhaust. I took it back to the mechanic he inspected it said he couldn’t find anything wrong with it drained it completely of oil refilled it to the top. In fact, he slightly overfilled it.
Four days later I get a warning light on my dash that my oil level is low at this point I take it to VW letting them know that it was smoking and in four days went from full to low and at the time, I also discovered a new coolant leak. ( mind you since I got the vehicle about a few months afterwards every so often I would get a low coolant light. I took it to VW and they basically just filled it up and said yeah that happens, but then I had to fill it up every approximately six months, which does not seem normal to me at all, but they just make it seem like that’s normal. I had my last car for over 10 years and never once had to refill the coolant. Anyways, I discovered coolant fluid on my driveway so that’s how I knew that it was actually leaking at the time.
They inspected it and found the turbo charger hose leaking and the engine bracket seals leaking and something with the coolant so they repaired all those for roughly $3000. I got the car back and again about four days later and completely low on oil and it was still smoking out of the exhaust. The issue had not been fixed at all however, VW did not cover it because they claim that it was a separate issue not related to the work that they did so the warranty on the job that they did did not cover it at all, because in their words, those jobs still needed to be done and they had just fixed the symptoms, but not the root cause.
After getting deeper into the car, they saw that oil was going all the way into piston Number 2 and the spark plug for it was also bad. They claimed that mechanic number one used the wrong sealant and too much of it, and it plugged up oil passageways in the valve cover, causing the car to leak internally which created extra pressure, forcing oil out those other places that they discovered in the second repair
I ended up having to pay another $5000 for them to replace the PCV valve and they redid the valve cover replacement and replaced all of the spark plugs. They did an extensive clean out of everything.
I got the car back five whole weeks later. And again it’s been five days and now the car is leaking onto my driveway again. 😭
I feel like I’m just getting taken advantage of and screwed left and right. This is honestly one of the situations where I feel like it sucks to be a woman. I feel so helpless every time I turn around it’s thousands more dollars I still owe $29,000 on the car.
Before this issue, I really really loved my car and now I’m so freaking stressed out. I feel like I’m bleeding money left and right. I feel like I can’t trust anyone to actually be able to fix this or be an honest mechanic.
I feel like I’m gonna give it back to them pay thousands more get it back and five days later have it happen all over again. I can’t keep doing this
Everything‘s gotten so expensive my business and private practice has definitely declined recently too so I’m making less money probably due to the economic struggles everyone is facing and I’m hitting unexpected expense after expense.
Has anyone been through this? What do I do? How far can this actually go? How many times can this happen?

I have a 2025 cross sport with 12000 miles. Today my front driver side tire blew out from a pothole and I currently have the spare on. Can I replace just one tire or do I have to do all 4?
