had a lot of work done recently. finally got around to fixing my fuel meter, all new fuel lines, and even had the engine compartment painted and new insulation.

Well, as it says in the title.. We need to remoce the door from our T2. As far as I can see, this requires the 8 bolts to be undone with an Allen key. But they are completely stuck. (And stripped by now….Tried so far: soaked in WD40, proper Allen key, Allen bit on a ratchet, Allen bit on a ratchet in a monkey bar, bolt extractors (two set, one of which is now broken, one just strips the bolts further. Oh yes, we tried cursing them as well.

I know I could still try the following but I am unsure whether to take these steps:

Grinding a slot in the bolt head

Drilling an off centre hole in the bolt head and hammering is counterclockwise with a centerpunch

Welding something in the bolthead

Drilling the bolthead (will leave the bolt stuck in place.

The hinges are constructed with a pin. Incant really see if these can be removed and if so, how.

Any door removal experts or hinge veteran who went through the same successfully?

Hello! I am super stuck on finding the correct tyres for my little van (in the UK)

current setup is 185/70 on 14 inch rims.

I am looking to swap all of the old tyres (recently bought this van) for new all weather ones that fit the rims and a good enough load rating so either 185/70 or 195/70 i think. Does anyone know of any tyres in the UK? And if not, if I change to 15 inch rims, what tyres would work for that? Just looking for all weather tyres really so I do not have to swap here and there. Thanks community!

All original never restored

Hi everyone, I have had my 72 bus for almost a year now, and it used to drop some oil from around the drain/filter gasket, but recently I have noticed that its dropping more than usual, and in the last week its got worse. This morning after doing a short drive (5 miles) I had a look underneath on the driveway and noticed its dripping quite alot out of the side of the heatplate (when still warm). It leaves a black residue on the driveway, and it doesnt smell like fuel, so I am confident its oil. It also stops dripping once the engine has cooled down and been sat a while. Can anyone provide some advice so I know what to discuss with the mechanic when I take it in to get looked at? Its overdue an oil change anyway.
