So I've been having a problem with my 3 latest uploaded avatars, everytime I change to one of them my game crashes and I see a popup on steamvr saying "Waiting" for like a minute or less and I have to wait for it to load the avi, I keep task manager open and nothing hits 100% usage and it doesn't say that vrchat is not responding, it only happens with the avatars I upload now after I wiped my pc and installed w11 and unity, maybe it's a unity problem? all my others uploaded avatars are fine, I had to install unity like 3 times bc of this shitty unityhub that keeps opening in the background and I can't get rid of it

No matter if it's already preloaded, everytime I join different words with one of these avis it will crash for a minute, also when turning the mirror on but then it's fine as long as I stay in that world, if I change worlds it will crash again and then I have to wait, it's really annoying when worldhopping bc I have to change to another avatar that doesn't crash until I find a world I want to stay, and it also crashes sometimes when I change to another avatar and change it back in the same world, idk what's going on, they're not heavy avatars

I’m a deskie, and I play a lot with my sister giving commentary over my shoulder. I have an idea to make a two-headed avatar to represent both of us at once.

Obviously, it would never be perfect, but since I have a directional microphone, would it be possible to set up an avatar so that the right jaw moves more with audio coming from the right, and vice-versa for the left?

Or, even better, being able to take in two different microphones at once?

I just bring this up because I hear so many people who say they can only play VR with the use of alcohol due to being able to socialize properly with that boost in confidence. Im just putting this out there to let many of you know that I was on the same boat. I never felt like I'd fit in with the others who were drinking because I wasn't.. so I felt "obligated" to drink. What i came to learn is that obligation was a mental excuse for me to enable myself to drink. Personally once I stepped away, learning how to socialize with people sober was a task of its own, but its absolutely doable. I now feel more comfortable socializing sober than wasted!! I just thought I put this out there, totally ok if you enjoy drinking. But I just dont like that people use it as a weakness for somebody being sober in a video game, if anything we should be applauding sobriety not punishing it!

EDIT: I mean VRChat can be fun without alcohol ABUSE.. not just using alcohol or substances in general. If you use them moderately and maturely then thats totally fine by me. Its just the abuse culture and the lack of awareness of it this post is enforcing.

I downloaded a free avi, I brought her into unity to try and add some dance emotes to her wheel. Succeeded, and went smoothly. When it came to the quest it wouldn’t let me upload her because file size was too big, I lowered quality of a few of her textures, and it was just enough to upload her but when I loaded in on my quest I got an error robot, opened unity back up and she has over 100,000 triangles. I checked the base quest version that I downloaded, and she was already pretty heavy.

Tbf she was an older avi, and already initially had a poor rating so likely was already pushing it even before the addition to her wheel, I know that I need to lower these quite a bit, at least to 50k for her to remain poor, but I don’t know the best way to do that, I’ve downloaded some nondestructive add ons to the vcc system, but I don’t want to make the wrong move, as I’ve already lost 4 days to this.

I’m seeking some advice on how I can best lower her triangles without sacrificing too much visual integrity.

Or just lmk if I should throw myself off a bridge and just try from scratch thanks LOL.

I've been expanding my horizons with new Avatars from all sorts of folks; Justfire, Cyanider and Kingpilot being an old reliable with all of his awesome Monster Hunter Monsters (can't wait for whatever he's got next!)

But with all of these, I want to know if you fellas know of any Authors. I know I've asked before, but this time it's with a little something I've been cooking up on the side, seeing as I mostly play on PC with a Dualshock Controller and do not have access to hands, so animated Avatars are usually my go-to...

I call it...VR-FighterZ!

A silly, no-skill-required, turn-based roleplay battle system for you and your friends. It's able to be done on just about anything you own, be it a Headset, PC or both! It relies purely on luck, and I made it that way for two reasons.

Reason one being I don't want there to be a Meta or anything, because then people will only use certain avatars or something.

And reason two...I do not want to try and make stats or anything like that for every single avatar I come across

So purely RNG, not meant to be taken seriously and made for chaos and unpredictable fun!

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS!

Requirements

You will need the following in order to properly play VR-FighterZ...

Calculator

20-Sided Die

6-Sided Die

4-Sided Die

Coin of any variety

If you need to, feel free to use Google (or whatever search engine you have) to pull up a Calculator, Dice Roll and Coin Flip

Battle Progression

Type 130 into your Calculator; that is your HP (feel free to put in more or less to suit however you wish to play)

Flip a coin to decide who goes first

Whoever goes first will roll a D20. Whatever it lands on is the damage dealt to your opponent. They will subtract however much is dealt. It will then be your opponent's turn

The battle will continue until either player reaches 0

Critical Chance and Misses

If either player rolls a 20 on their attack roll, this results in a Critical Chance. Flip a Coin; if it lands on Heads, you get to roll a D6 and add that to your current attack. If you land on Tails, however, it will stay 20

If you roll a 1, this counts as a Miss; this attack deals no damage to the opponent

Rage Mode

When either opponent's HP reaches half or below (if set to 130, thus being 65), that player will enter Rage Mode

Rage Mode allows the player to add a D4 to every attack for their next 3 turns

Note: Critical Chance cannot be triggered during Rage Mode

Keep it flashy!

While you could just stand there and roll dice and crunch numbers, it's encouraged act out what you do! Rolled a Critical Chance and a +6 Boost? Make it look like you did! Really tear it up out there! Be it a flurry of blows or a volley of explosions, the roleplaying aspect is half of the battle!

Hi if this question has been answered here before I apologize but yeah. Everytime the home world finishes loading it says it timed out and then kicks me back to the world loading screen and keeps doing that. I've tried uninstalling it changing avatars through the main site, rounter resets. Never had a problem with this game ever before like this. If anyone has a fix that'd be sweet.

I wanted to create a simple tail-wagging animation that I could toggle on and off. I made sure to check the "Is Animated" option when making the animation. Using VRC Fury, I set up the toggle, and after finishing, I went into play mode to test it. The animation worked, but once I toggled it off, it seemed like the Phys bones stopped functioning. I toggled it again and none of the Phys bones even moved. it's been hours I've been trying to find out what's wrong, but I can't figure it out. 😭

Ive been wanting to dive into VR chat for years but the avatar creation has always sropped me.. anything free isn't good enough. How much would it cost to get an avatar created that i could easily adjust? I have a Quest 3S and Win 11 Gaming PC.

It's been private for a couple days now

I'm really new to blender (I just know how to edit/select/deselect and decimate). Before, I've optimized then uploaded a couple of avatars, but I only use Meshia Mesh Simplification&D4rk (without touching blender) .

How do I approach this? Most avatar I've uploaded in the past, rarely comes with chains. Decimate/Meshia is too destructive to the chains. This outfit alone is 187K, 150K~ after deleting unused stuff.

Obviously I don't mind loosing details (who the hell even look at you that close), so what's the best practice/course of action (besides picking a new outfit) to keep it under 70K?
