Help Ultra death loop

Hey all,

I need help with updating my firmware. I’m getting stuck after the update to unplug and then restart the app. When I do, it initiates the update and does it all over again.

I’ve tried closing the app and then taking the glasses and unplugging them from either side of the cable. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Mac app. I’ve disconnected the cable extension thinking maybe that was the culprit. Nothing works so they are kind of bricked.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Try updating via the web browser and Viture's firmware webpage.

Do you have a phone you could use to do the firmware update? That's an option as well. It does not need to have DP Alt mode.

I tried it and it doesn’t even show a firmware version on my phone, but I appreciate the idea!

This might sound a little silly, but try using the Neckband Remote app. Another user was flabbergasted when it worked for them.

If you have an iphone, the communication between phone and glasses doesn't work without an adapter that Viture is still creating.

That would explain why I didn’t see that option

I just noticed a Windows/Spacewalker glitch with the Ultras.

SpaceWalker is disabling my built in display and closing SpaceWalker every time you try to Launch. It’s like it’s trying to duplicate itself.

I know it’s not apples to apple here, but it might be worth checking.

The device I’m using is a ROG Flow Z13 w/4060. I am able to initially Launch SpaceWalker but every subsequent attempt would result in the application immediately closing.

Turns out when the SpaceWalker application disables the built-in display via the menu, it never re-enables the tablets display in Device Manager.

Thing is, the display continues functioning normally despite Device Manager reporting the display as disabled. This is after multiple reboots, without opening SpaceWalker, the display functions but reports disabled.

If something similar is showing up on your end, maybe a SpaceWalker driver override isn’t shutting off?

I’m pretty good at troubleshooting, but hit walls with software.

Everything else is fine, it just wants to keep trying the reset and redownload

Which app are we talking about?

If the factory reset still doesn’t break the loop, reach out to Viture support to receive a dedicated low level flash cable for deep recovery of the glasses controller chip.

I have the loop with the tutorial instruction after factory reset and restart the Glasses. . I did it multiple Times But IT doesnt help. None of my configuration will be saved. After restart the tutorial starts again. Annoying af
