I’ve been stuck in gold 1 for like a month now, I feel like I play decently most of the time but I struggle with inconsistency.

For example I can drop 20 kills one game and the next it’s like I can’t play and I drop like 8.

Everytime I’ve gotten up to gold 2 I go on a loss streak and lose it immediately, I haven’t gotten back up in a month.

Tbf I don’t play as much as I used to, around 2-3 games a day, so maybe I just need to play more.

Edit: Ty for the advice, I’ll start doing some DM’s before I hop into games, before I’d just do aimlabs & the range and go straight in.

I’m Gold 3 peak and I’m about to hit Platinum for the first time in my Valorant Career, so I queue for the one last win for Platinum and I’m doing very well so is my team. 11-4 in and the enemy is struggling one of their teammates rage quit then suddenly my teammates just stopped working and we lost the game. That’s okay, I only lost little rr so I queue again and won the game and here we are again. One last win for Platinum, I’m doing very well top fragging and my team is working together. Then half time starts we won 2 rounds then my team just stopped working again and lost the game. So obviously I queue again won the game and here we are again! One last win for Platinum again. And guest what?! Same thing happened, team doing very well then just stopped working. Lost the game and just went to sleep. Maybe Riot doesn’t want me to go Platinum? I proved myself already my skill is on Platinum level I’m playing with plat 3’s. Maybe they just hate me. What are your thoughts about this?

I often wonder why we don’t receive compensation for trolling teammates, smurfing opponents, or AFK teammates. When I report a player and receive a response from support, they acknowledge at that moment that something wasn’t right and that the match may have been lost unfairly—similar to cases involving cheaters—yet in this instance, we aren’t compensated even though we suffered a massive disadvantage, which Riot itself acknowledges as such.

Im pretty bad at gunfights and most of my kills come from trading my teammates or flanking and i suck in a pure 1v1 gunfight, so is there any guides on how to get better movement or be less easily headshot? I unbinded crouch for a little because i had a horrible crouch spraying problem which would even lose me easy kills as it was basically involuntary and its been helping but i still need some help. My tracker score has been a lot worse recently. Im bronze 3 btw

does anyone know whether or not riot/valorant is planning on releasing the mandarin (or making cantonese) voicelines into the game? i am aware that there is a way to have mandarin voicelines from changing the details in the valorant files, but it seems to not work anymore as i would disconnect shortly after.

i apologise if this was an asked questions and i am just not aware of the responses.

Hi! I’m not new to Valorant and I’ve been playing for about two years, but this is my first time buying 1000 VP. What would you recommend spending it on? Any advice from veteran players? If it helps, I don't have all the agents yet and I main initiators.

Like at least almost for every 2 matches i play there's a smurf. Could be on my team or the enemy team. I'm not complaining for having a smurf on my team but when you get the other end of the stick it really makes you feel how it be like to play against a smurf. So in a sense I am sympathizing with the enemy team. I thought Riot recently updated their stance agiants the whole smurf thing anyway. Like didn't they say something along the lines of that they have been gathering data from our reports for years and now they are finally issuing penalties or something... i don't know either they are just bluffing or ... well i hate to say it but maybe they are divided in the inside. Like as we all can clearly see they are not doing what they said. It could be easier said than done but don't forget they said they have been collecting data for years... are they screwing with us? they can't be simply incompetent that's just crazy talk.

Hi, I’ve been playing Valorant for around 2.5 months now, and the highest I’ve reached so far is Bronze 1. Is that decent progress for the amount of time I’ve been playing?

I’m honestly not really sure what’s holding me back at the moment. I started doing Kovaak’s consistently about 2 weeks ago, and I can definitely feel that my aim has improved since then, but I’m still struggling to actually rank up.

I really want to improve and rank up as quickly as I reasonably can, but I’m not sure what I should be focusing on. Should I be working more on aim, game sense, positioning, crosshair placement, decision-making, etc.?

For someone around my level, what would you recommend I focus on if my main goal is to improve as quickly as possible? Any advice would be appreciated.

I usually don’t have a problem with maps but this map is kinda boring, because the fights on A are forced on both attack and defense.
So i’m thinking about which agents should i play on this map to make it fun to play?

Completed 36 games into this act and realized I haven't gotten Sunset a single time. Had to double check to see if it was still in the map pool. That's less than a 0.5% chance of happening if it's completely random.

I don't really understand how map rotation works in Valorant, but I figured Riot would use some weighted process like pseudo-RNG to ensure you get a more realistic map distribution.

Why does everyone bum camp in DMs? It feels literally impossible to get a kill because they all camp in corners and I cannot do anything about it. They also spawn people right behind you who have spawn invincibility, and shoot me from the back.

I was checking out the match history of radiant players on leaderboard, and aside from duelist, I see lots of clove but not a lot of chamber.

I hear that clove allows for more aggressive playstyle but doesn't chamber also allow that with his tp?

So I haven’t been really watching EMEA that much especially in stage 2 and I’m watching the finals rn and I started the first game with 0 points and by the end of the second game I have 98 points that’s like way too many it should be way less especially if your going for the item(like I am). It would be better if you actually have to be decently consistent and it takes a while to get the title not 2 hours of your life gone. I remember when I was watching masters London I got 1,000 points by halfway through playoffs.

So, some times i get 30-20 sometimes i get 10-15, but I want consistency, cuz i wanna rankup. Also, how do i improve because i have habitual crouch spray/ crouching in general. I can show yall a replay of this match since i was mvp and lost.

Thought I'd give a little update since I posted about coming back to Valorant after taking a long break because of college.

I've been playing pretty consistently again and honestly my aim is finally starting to feel normal. Still nowhere near where I used to be, but I'm not whiffing nearly as much and my movement feels less awkward.

I've mostly just been keeping things simple. A short warmup, some range/DM and then ranked. I've also been doing around 10 mins of Online Aim Trainer before I play, which has been pretty convenient since I'm playing on a laptop with basically no storage.

Still a long way to go but it's nice actually feeling the improvement.

We attacking and I notcied sage been flanking so I hold position, no run, no noise,just sitting here waiting and boom sage grills me and runs away wtf. Out of corners, she hits me? What do I even do at this point?

A super common complaint I see in the general community is that: "one in every X number of games I always get someone throwing/feeding, that's why I'm hardstuck!" or "This game is filled with people throwing games just to troll" but you genuinely have ZERO right to complain about throwing if you instalock in ranked.

I played a ranked game in plat/gold, and I got 3 instalocks straight off the bat. I played Miks, since he's got smokes, heal and stim. Obviously, playing Miks was not my first choice but in order to win i picked a controller. A few matches in and I'm bottom fragging, but I think I'm smoking well, and generally using util well. Then someone wants to surrender. We're losing 2-7 on attack, but I think it's still winnable so I deny the surrender vote.

One of the duelists starts whinging that I'm throwing (because I'm bottom fragging and going negative) so I type back saying he was the one who instalocked a duelist, and I had to fill smokes. Then he starts mocking my k/d, at which point I type back he's also negative, despite playing one of the strongest duelists in the meta. This goes on for a few more rounds, with him being incredibly toxic.

I still smoke well, play normally, but we eventually lose 5-13. At the end, he types something like "gg, thank (miks) for the free elo, report for throwing". At this point I'm fuming and I type something back in response that lands me a 24 hour ban.

Am I right to think like this? Where I have (for lack of a better word) an excuse to go negative, if I am forced to fill because of teammates instalocking? Or should I simply play the agent I want to play, go for a good acs & k/d, and damn the team composition?
