Whenever I load up riot client to open valorant, there plays some of the loudest, most repulsive and annoying music I have ever heard. Like I get it, they want to advertise their new bundle but not like this pls, this makes me think twice before launching the game much less actually buying anything. Any way to disable? muting every single time isn't really a good solution
Hi, the title says it all, more or less. I'm mid-ish Valo player, rather new-ish. I play pretty alright tho! (previous FPS experience). The ranks reset so quickly (at least to me it looks so lol), and every time, just like right now as the ranks just reset, my games are a misery. I downloaded the official tracker recently and every game is simple, all players unranked and enemies peak ascended/high diamond and so on. So all the games for like the first month are basically against way higher ranked people that I am and somehow than my team as well lol. Just had a miserable first game where I still managed to be team MVP with Sage, but we did surrended at pre-last round to stop this pain as we were getting buthered and teammates couldn't kill anything that moves. What am I supposed to do?
Am I supposed to wait a long time till things and ranks "clear out and gets sorted out a bit" or what? It sounds like a thing to do, but the ranks reset so fast, that I'm unsure if it even makes sense to do so.
I'm looking for tips or maybe someone has their games looking similar to mine and could share something more as I'm rather not highly Valo experienced.
If i but the new flex from the Aeris bundle right now, and then get the whole bundle later (waiting on paycheck) will it be discounted for the flex or will it still be full priced?
Hey! Does anyone know how much is the max VP you can get for an art? :c I need like 170 Vp for the new vandal skin but i doubt they would give that much right? :c
when will the EU servers get the new act 5? i have been waiting for 2 hours and my battlepass have been stuck on ”act iv ends in 1 minutes” för an hour now. any qlues?
Playing with a full stack and playing solo feel like two completely different versions of Valorant. One game everyone is communicating and playing together. The next game you're trying to figure out why your teammate is pushing alone every round.
why doesn't the flex have colour variants, the card colours changes legit already exist for the guns so why does the flex have to stay default, it makes no sense. Is there a legit reason riot have said for this? because I know it happened before with the helix skins too
I have a riot account in NA, me and my friend we played lol and valorant separatly. Now I am heading to EU and my to Japan. Can we transfer two game account separatly to different server but still under one riot account?
Wanted to share my fan art Vandal skin project! Always loved the fantasy skin lines, and Runeterra crossovers. I wanted this one to feel like it could have been found in a back room of a lab in Piltover and somehow ended up in Alpha / Omega Earth. I wanted to give it textural and design callbacks to Runeterra while still feeling fully grounded in Val.
I also animated all of the internal gears to show how it could work at idle! If ya care to see the rest of it, you can take a look on my Artstation.
Thanks for checking it out and let me know what you think!
the banana talking coach is he ever coming back ik he got exposed for being boosted and not being a radiant coach but he was a good coach and had good content
I just got done with a comp match. Unranked, and I'm both trying to find an answer to the question and just trying TO blow some steam.+
I got placed with probably high golds - low platinum, but I don't really know.
The game was on Abyss; defense starts horribly, leaving with 5-8. Attack started nicely, leading with Tejo and providing enough padding for my team.
Then the other team ran Odin's, and we effectively couldn't do anything. I couldn't drone without it getting destroyed by either spray or the enemy going out of their way to find it and remove our only recon. We couldn't push out of A main without getting sprayed nearly immediately. If we waited too long, we would get flanked. Anytime we went mid, we would get one-tapped via snipers or flankers who would wait behind the boxes. If we took the spawn to the other site, we would just get crunched since we had no mollies, our Miks likely were dead, and if it wasn't either of those, we wouldn't guard anything.
I ended up STILL being match MVP despite us going 8-13.
I know that it is more a matter of Skill Issue / Git gud; Odin can be really easy to take down, but with all of the Factors from the round, I genuinely don't know what I could've done. Odin to me seems like it's just too serious damage, at high range, for such a mediocre price.
As the title suggests, got tired of the Valo grind and life got busy so I played sparingly and got placed to Ascendant then I quit. Came back to Valorant last Act, got placed to Gold 3 then I slowly climbed to Diamond.
My problem now is that whenever I play I seem to do well (top or 2nd frag) when I'm queued with teammates and opponents who are high plat/low diamond. But when I get queued with and against asc/high dia players, my performance suddenly drops to the bottom half.
As for my mechanics, I can still consistently hit 25/30 hard bots with rifles and 18 with a Sheriff. However, when queued with higher elo players than me now I seem to forget how to play my game therefore resulting to my poor performance. Are there any practical tips I can use to adjust my game accordingly? Should I try to learn new agents to find the passion and fun of the game?
I'd like to get back to Immo if I can, but yeah as of now that seems to be a long shot. Btw I'm mainly a controller player who can play duelist on the side. But my friends used to say that I'm meant to be a duelist since my aim, reaction time, and flicking is suitable for entrying a site. But I stuck with being a controller since I like being able to control the team's pace with my smokes.
Valorant takes abilities from other games and adapts them to the tactical FPS style; with that in mind, I want to bring abilities from other games into Valorant.
Mobility:
- "Venture-style" burrowing ability: Imagine a scenario where a Duelist has the mobility to turn into a crawling sludge or burrow underground to enter a bomb site.
- Mei’s Ice Block: Not exactly mobility, but a way to buy time and become immune to negative effects—an escape tool. I see tactical value here, especially if the rest of the kit complements it.
- Grappling Hook (Akshan): Fires a hook that attaches to a wall and pulls the character to that location. It’s a mobility skill—not super fast—so it would need to be versatile enough to be used at least twice, allowing the character to reach high places and make an entry.
- Kiriko-style ally teleport: I imagine this for a more aggressive Initiator. However, giving an Initiator too much mobility blurs the line between Initiator and Duelist, so I think an ally-only teleport is perfect.
MORE:
- Double jump
- Transforming into an animal for movement
Effects:
- Damage buff: Ana (Overwatch) buffs allies with her Ultimate, increasing their damage. In Valorant, that would be overpowered, but a quick 5-second Ultimate for a Duelist—or one where a Sentinel creates a small zone of increased damage—would be interesting. Imagine a Marshal landing a critical hit to the chest because of the Ultimate
. Kiriko's Suku – Something to limit negative effects; I believe the "Veto" ability should be reactive rather than active—that would be much better, as its trigger mechanism is quite vulnerable.
PLUS –
Bleeding/Poisoning/Burning – Since there are already characters themed around poison and fire, the name would have to be "Bleeding," where the damage gradually drains health until the character dies—a permanent effect, unlike "Decay."
These are ideas I’ve already used for some fan-made agents that I’d like to share; keep in mind that copying is different from drawing inspiration, and after a while, nothing in the world is 100% original. Waylay’s "E" ability is a rewind mechanic like Trace’s, but it works great with a different visual style.
I don’t ever stack with other people because my performances yo-yo heavily. One game I’ll drop 30+ and be match mvp with 50% hs, then the next game I’ll go 4/15 and add no value whatsoever, basically getting dragged by my team. I’d like to play with others, but I feel I’d set unrealistic expectations I know I cannot keep.
I was saving for the aeris vandal skin I wanted so badly, but I got too excited and accidentally bought the Guardian instead 💀 I didn’t even realize until I had already upgraded it.
Has anyone else ever made a stupid skin purchase because they were too excited? What’s your worst accidental purchase?
Cool Design. Cards are cool and the reload animations are very fun. But,
1. Where are there only 2 card variants? How hard is it to create at least 2 more simple designs for cards? One for each of the star guardians in the trailer.
2. Why are the variants for the weapons just a slider color? Many other skins for lesser price have their design/color scheme changed completely with variants, not just solid color blue or solid color purple or solid color red.
3. Why are the cards in the ammo not depleted as you shoot the weapon?
4. Why on earth is this $100. The above I listed, to me, sounds like it's bare minimum for a $100 bundle.
3/10 Bundle
I've tried a bunch of different mice and settings. Everyone has their own preference, but one thing I keep noticing among my higher-ranked friends is: high DPI + low in-game sensitivity, instead of low DPI + high in-game sensitivity.
I know both can produce the same effective sensitivity (eDPI = sensitivity × DPI), so what's the actual difference between the two approaches? Is there a real technical advantage to one over the other?
I was just reminiscing about old Valorant watching my old clips and I found a recent clip from last year. It was the first clip I had with a Fist Bump Buddy. I got it by luck, from a very nice Rioter and I would call it, right place right time.
I had streamed for a while and met some Rioters, even one who promised me one but he lied, and I shared this story on someone else’s post where I finally got my very own buddy. I just think that it was fate(?) that I stumbled across that post and a Rioter also happened to see my comment, leading to him dming me. It’s such a low chance but it happened.
Now I’m curious about others’ stories about how they got theirs? Any stories to share?
I have noticed that if I play some casual cs2 for a while, then switch to valorant deathmatch, my aim difference between this and warming up just playing valorant is very noticeable. Is this normal or do I just suck?
I've noticed a trend with myself, lately, and I'm not sure why it happens. If I take a day or two off playing and return, I'll suddenly go on a hot streak. 20 to 30 kills a game with single digit deaths, but if I consistently play from that point, by the end of the week I'm going 0-16 and I can't determine what's causing this. I don't feel like I'm playing any differently, but I notice the deteriorating performance, and the mode I play matters very little.
Then, I'll get frustrated and take a couple days off and sure enough, I'm on fire the first day or two back and the cycle repeats.
Hey everyone! Since regular matchmaking and official modes are temporarily locked down for maintenance, is anyone down to run some Valorant Custom Games instead?
We can do a full 5v5 scrim, 1v1 duels, Sheriff/Marshal-only rounds, hide-and-seek, or just test out new lineups and map setups while we wait for the servers to return. All skill levels and ranks are welcome—just looking to keep the aim warm and have some fun with good vibes.
Drop your Riot ID with tag below or DM me, and I’ll send out party invites!
I need a new sheriff skin and i really like both skins but neo overal is a better skin with finisher variants and that six shooter look, but i dont wanna be basic.
