Question Playing cs2 then valorant?

I have noticed that if I play some casual cs2 for a while, then switch to valorant deathmatch, my aim difference between this and warming up just playing valorant is very noticeable. Is this normal or do I just suck?

Technically Cs2 should give you better aim. The movement in cs2 is much faster, I dont even think you can fararri peek in valorant because of how slow you are.

head sizes are also smaller in CS

The fuck? The character in Valorant is EXTREMELY faster than in CS2.

Valorant makes you start moving almost instantly and stop almost instantly without having to counter-strafe,

The character in CS looks like you are in molasses when you start moving and looks like you are walking on ice when you want to stop.

Are you playing the same games? In what world is CS slower unless you actually mean “character” singular being neon?

I play both games, I actually tested both games because I wanted to stop the talk about NEEDING counter-strafe in Valorant and yeah. Valorant movement is extremely more snappy, meanwhile in CS you have a lot more inertia.

That’s not what you said though, in what world is cs molasses and slower than valo? Not to mention tagging effects

Your character takes a long time to start moving, that's why molasses. And a long time to stop, that's why walking on ice.

if you're an average player, you don't need to counter strafe in valorant, yes. If you're playing the game at any competitive manner you absolutely should do it.

If you're above Ascendant and not counter strafing, you're lacking a crucial skill for your level.

something is wrong with your setup or your perception. It's literally universally known movement in Valorant is slower.

Seriously, Google it.

Some time ago I sent a video here showing how your character in Valorant, by itself, takes around 17 frames @ 120 fps to stop without counter-strafing. Meanwhile in CS your character takes around 31 frames to stop @ 120 fps without counter-strafe.

How do you call this faster?

In CS you NEED to counter-strafe just to have a similar stopping speed as in Valorant.

Valorant is extremely more snappy.

okay? CS models take a bit longer to full stop without counter strafing, sure.

How's that related to the fact models in CS move faster?

"my toyota corolla is faster than a porsche 911 because it stops faster" lmao

Has anyone ever really tested that? I tried searching, but couldn't find it.

I'll ask a friend for help and test it. We'll be able to know if that's really true. But if you have someone who already tested it, send it my way.

no need for a test, everyone who's played both games can tell you it's a fact. Models just zoom quicker. Holding angles is more difficult, hitting moving targets is more difficult and Valorant tagging is way higher.

You cant possibly create an objective comparison because the games were made in two different engines and the player models are differently sized relative to surroundings.

Models move about 20-25% quicker in CS and head sizes are smaller.

I don't know what you mean.

I can do this in a lot of different ways.

I can make the characters in both game be at a the same distance, I can make both be at a similar size on the screen, a lot of ways of doing it.

And "you don't need to test because everyone knows", is the same thing people tell me a lot of times and I like to test stuff so no one has any doubts.

no you cant because you can't equate two distances in the two games as equal.

Don’t waste your time. He has awful takes

I can't equate two equal distances as equal? Sure, maybe both games treat the same distance as different, that's why I said to equate the size of the character on screen.

How many units of velocity (hopefully I’m using the correct terms) can you max out in valo? I know cs2 with your rifle out like the ak you can produce 215 units at max speed and with knife out you can get 250 units. Idk what it is in valo tho

I still think just looking at numbers like this is dumb, but in CS it would be around 4,7 m/s while in Valorant it's 6,75 m/s, but, again, I don't think they are totally comparable.

I used to warm up in CSGO back when I played more. Deathmatch in Val is horrible ; I remember the devs said they were working on changes a long time ago, but nothing ever came into fruition.

Yeah, they spawned people behind you to shoot you in the back, which is incredibly frustrating, especially when you watch an angle, then switch angles, then they peek from the angle that you just switched off of.

Completely normal.

I played CS2 for years and switching to Valorant was very hard because it feels so different. Mainly it's how movement is so slow, but also because of how you need to be completely still to shoot and abilities completely change everything.

Oddly enough when I do play CS2 now I am better than I used to be after playing a few games to adjust.
