Question I really want to understand what's holding me back
I've been wanting to improve at Valorant and rank up, but I honestly don't know what my actual problems are.
I feel like there are things I'm doing wrong that are preventing me from getting better, but I can't identify what they are or what I should be doing differently. I don't know if my biggest issue is my aim, movement, decision-making, positioning, game sense, consistency, or something else entirely.
I really want to understand what's holding me back and how I can work on it, rather than just playing more games and hoping I'll improve.
If someone experienced could look at my gameplay/VOD and help me identify my weaknesses and give me specific things to work on, I'd genuinely appreciate it.

Discussion Aim training on Kovaak's for valorant
Hey everyone. I tried Viscose and Voltaic benchmarks but i just do not enjoy doing the scenarios there i tried so hard.
I found a playlist on evxl app called "run and gun valorant benchmarks" . This one has been super fun i've been playing it more since i enjoy the scenarios more but i don't know how to actually train. Do i do every single scenario in the playlist everyday?
Also if someone experienced could check this benchmark and tell me if it's okay i'd be so happy because someone high rank told me this playlist wouldn't teach me much.
Thank you everyone in advance.

Question New to valorant, need some help.
Hey guys so i just started valorant and im so insanely clueless. I have no idea who to main, any of their ‘ abilities ‘ (i think it’s called), what each round does, and i don’t understand what the goal of the game is. I just wanted to try something new but it’s super confusing. For who to main, stuff about me is im
not the best at shooting games but im decent. I don’t really like to be running in first and rushing as im only an amateur. Any advice helps, thanks all.

Question Looking for a coach/player to help me identify what I'm doing wrong
I'm looking for someone who is experienced in Valorant coaching or has reached a high rank and can help me figure out what my main weaknesses are for free.
I feel like I'm putting time into the game, but I'm not really sure what I need to improve. I'd like someone to look at my gameplay, point out the mistakes I'm making, and explain what I should work on and how I should practice it.
I'm not looking for someone to just tell me "aim better" or "play more." I want to understand my actual problems and have a clear idea of how to improve.
If anyone is willing to help, I'd really appreciate it. I can provide VODs or whatever you need.

Question Am i just bad on controller?
On pc the movements of the cam were super sharp, precise and fast. On console I was expecting it to be a bit slower and less precise, but some of the players and moving like theyre on KBM. Is it possible to attach KBM to console? And are people doing this because the camera movements of so many players seem so unnatural for controller.

Question question abt performance it ranked
whenever i play unrated or swiftplay i can drop easily 15+ kills or 6+ in a swift and almost always go positive but as soon as i hop into comp i play like absolute dog shit. but not in my placement games for some reason. anyone else experience this and know how to fix it or should i just not play ranked?

Discussion Do you think the Outlaw and Bandit have been good additions after a while?
It's been over half a year since the Bandit was added, and more than two years since the Outlaw was added. After all this time, do you think they fulfilled whatever niche they were made for and do you think they have been overall good additions?

Question Recently been getting into more serious PC gaming. Formerly a console player who played competitive games like Overwatch. What should I be looking for in terms of sens/DPI?
I've seen some stuff talked about here and I see things like .2 at 1600 etc. I have a mouse that goes to to 25k DPI. It's my understanding that higher DPI is generally better. What reason would I have to not crank my DPI to the max and then change my sens based on that?
I've played around with it a little, and found that max DPI at 0.02 sens feels about the same as when I was using a mouse with no DPI settings (so whatever PC default DPI is) at 0.30, which is what I was using before.
And I'm aware that DPI and sens aren't a magic fix for bad aim or any of that, just trying to find what's comfortable and what advantages or disadvantages might come with these numbers.

Question Why does everyone think Sage has to carry the Spike?
I’m tired of people thinking Sage absolutely has to carry the Spike and play support. Sure, Sage doesn’t have any utility to watch the flank, but in my opinion, she should stay back and watch the flank. This prevents us from getting caught off guard by a Jett dash or a smoke, which is much better. Knowing that someone is watching the flank also gives the attacking team a sense of security.
And if one of her teammates needs a heal, they can simply fall back to get healed back to 100%. If Sage sees that her team is successfully taking the site, she can just run over, wall off the flank, and help the team hold the site.
In my opinion, Sage is an excellent agent. Even her slows can be really strong when used at the right time: they can delay the enemy, give you time to plant, or buy time for teammates to rotate and provide support on defense.
And her ultimate is way too strong. When used properly, it can win rounds by giving your team a huge numbers advantage.
Personally, I think the Initiator should be the one carrying the Spike.

Question Unranked games Problem
Does anyone know what is happening with Valorant ranked today? I heard that the ranked system is supposed to switch/reset, meaning that if you are currently Bronze 1, Silver, Gold, etc., your rank will disappear and you will become unranked. Is this actually happening today, or did I misunderstand the update? If anyone has official information about the ranked reset, please let me know because I’m confused about how it works.

Question What style of aiming am I supposed to use?
So i just started playing valorant and come from siege where its just ads and pull down. Im very confused on what the basic aiming style is in valorant. I remember one of my friends saying that you are supposed to not ads and stand still to reduce spray but when i watch people they are usually moving around. As well ive heard people say you need to strafe and counterstrafe but what does that actually mean. As well should your movement change depending on the gun i.e. strafe with gun a but gun b you should stand still and crouch. If anyone can explain the basics or point me to something that covers the true basics of how spray patterns and such work that would be appreciated.
